Ei also isolated herself and doesn’t know much as well. Nahida has really been such an MVP for not only being so caring but genuinely trying to help the traveler freely.

Well in their defense. Each Archons have their reasons. Venti clearly knows something but was still shaken up with the cryo archon, Zhongli is unable to speak because it's a contract from Celestia while Ei is still torn from Makoto. I know Nahida has given us more intel than the past three did, also Venti has yet to have his 2nd story quest... Besides we have to see his side

Zhongli really was right. Traveler was never from this world so the history of Teyvat would forever be engraved in their memory as a backup for the truth.
holy so that's what zhongli meant, i thought he meant the traveller would go across teyvat and just experience cool events and the traveler would be living proof of teyvat existing (hinting at a war that would destroy teyvat like the archon war)
Sumeru archon quest really said “let’s give them depression”. Seeing Dunyarzad nearly die, seeing Rukhdevata disappear, seeing Scaramouche p’s anguish and suffering. I love Sumeru’s archon quest
But at least happy ending. In Inazuma a lot of people died cause delusions and war, Rosalyne died, the hate between the followers of the god that Ei killed and Shogun Raiden followers continues, Watatsumi Island stills in a bad moment. In Sumeru all the people with Eleazar cured and even the son of Ei has the chance of change
I was so happy when I heard the traveler call out to Nahida and thought that they would be voiced till the quest ends but no. Hoyo just have to cut it there 😭
I think the thing I enjoyed the most about this quest, is that the characters involved in the plot were ACTUALLY involved. Like, we couldn’t have done it without them and that’s something that hoyoverse hasn’t implemented. Usually we see the region characters once or twice, then we never see them again until we save the day, but it felt like we were ACTUALLY a squad and had each other’s backs. You feel the sense of camaraderie and it made it my favorite archon quest.
This quest certainly did it best but Venti, Diluc and Jean were pretty integral to the plot with Dvalin. Ningguang, Ganyu, Xiao and the other adepti were also integral to defending Liyue. Inazuma was like the most Traveler centric one in terms of contribution but Ayaka, Ayato, Kazuha and Miko all actually played notable parts.
@Kokopium Well said brother. Kazuha, Miko, and Ayaka carried HARD. Idk what the writers were thinking man. They kinda went all over the place on that one. The sumeru archon quest definitely gave me the sense and thoughts of me saying “Oh I vibe with her/him” and we bond throughout it and the characters are involved the WHOLE TIME and not just placed in the middle, beginning, or end throughout the quests like the other ones. I would rank the archon quests as follows. Sumeru number 1, Liyue 2, Mondstadt 3, and Inazuma 4.
I think because they discussed with us and also walk everything through with us along the way. Mondstadt did the same but it was mostly us working things out while the 3 of them just waiting for us to finish. We only feel the teamwork in Liyue towards the end while they were all nowhere to be seen before all went down with Osial. Inazuma, good story, bad delivery. The characters played alot of parts in Inazuma but it got buried under. Such a waste of good delivery potential. And as Captain of Swordfish II, I'm disappointed I had to do everything alone instead of walking through everything together. Sumeru is just perfection. All key characters walked and planned with us along the way, they showed us how are things supposed to happen with everyone involved. And we actually feel belonged instead of feeling like we are their errand person doing everything alone. I hope they'll stick with what they did with Sumeru archon quests till the end and I hope it'll just get better from now on. Edit: I also understand why Mond and Liyue felt kinda lacking since they were the first regions. Inazuma tho honestly, idky they went that way. Even Zhongli story quest had better delivery than both of Inazuma archon quests.
For Monsdadt, Jean and Diluc are present but they play too little of a role story-wise. Like, they are supposed to be the most capable fighters remaining in Monsdadt, but there is no cutscenes that showcases how Jean and Diluc work in the Archon quest. Like, I wanted a cutscene where they fight the dragon like how Liyue crew was fighting Osial. In Liyue we spent 80% of the time with Zhongli, so it’s not surprised that we felt disconnected with other main casts until the final battle. Inazuma’s backstory is probably one of the best, as detailed in Ei’s second story quest, but the archon quest really was lackluster especially the sangonimia part.
So the traveller didnt actually dodge, in the previous dreams Balladeer predicted that "you" will dash backwards so balladeer was leading his shot. Balladeer know that by using the prediction feature from the akasha, but this time in reality "you" learned from the previous dreams that Balladeer would lead his shot so you didnt dodge. You basically outsmarted his outsmarting.
@@skybasee6206 You can see it if you slow it down- you can see that in the 'flashback' the Traveler gets sent flying, and in 'reality' the burnt mark is behind the Traveler since he didn't move back to dodge.
I just suddenly notice that Dottore's voice when he's in Pardis Diyah and in Nahida's confinement is completely different... That's unnoticeable detail.
Well she IS the God of Wisdom. I figure a Wisdom God would know more than a Freedom God, Eternity God and Contracts God... And she does have Irminsul which records everything regarding this world. Easy money!
From a lore perspective, she's really the only one who can reliably give us this information. Barbatos has been asleep for a long time and only woke up because of Dvalin going crazy, Morax is a bit of a mystery but as the God of Contracts he probably has his reasons, Beelzebub has isolated herself and as the Raiden Shogun she only focused on pursuing eternity. Our sibling is also a mystery in of itself. For the first 3 archons who don't have access to all the knowledge of Teyvat, it's kinda two sides working against eachother.
The information Nahida gives about the sibling may be a foreshadowing. Maybe *both Aether and Lumine'* stories take place simultaneously in parallel realities created by Principles... And both realities merge at _the end of Genshin_ when the brothers may or may not regain their divinity...
Man, I salute Dottore for keeping his composure while talking to Nahida, If that were me, I'd probably be like "forget the gnosis, lemme just squish your cheeks and give you infinite head pats instead"
From the bonus info: Alhaitham actually kicked asses of those guards that were with him. You could even find them lying knocked out cold somewhere on the way to the village after you did the archon quest.
You can really tell that Bwaap enjoys doing these archon quests, he barely jokes around, comes up with theories and stays quiet to take everything in. These archon quests keep getting better at playing at my heartstrings like an ukulele.
Remember what ZL said to the traveler in his first story quest ? "As long as a traveler like you is able to record what happened, then a backup of sorts will exist for times and tides of Teyvat." It hits differently now after Sumeru :/
I love hearing that the reason bwaap was late isnt because he was burnt out or anything, rather, he was having fun with his girlfried. I much prefer that than a constant upload schedule, since bwaap is happy during those times
Hell yeah! A somewhat consistent schedule is important sure, but if that means the creator is burnt out and tired, then what's the point? I come here to watch Bwaaps reactions and re experience these quests, it'd be no fun knowing that this felt more like a task. People sometimes forget that creators are humans too...
I dunno if bwaap already knew about this or not but Kaveh became Alhaitam's roomates because Dori tricked him by making him build a palace for Dori using his own mora. So now he is broke and live with Alhaitam 😂 if you have Dori and up her friendship to level 4, then you can check Dori's voiceline about Kaveh

Getting hit by lightning has a surprisingly high survival rate if you're not out in the nowhere where noone can help you or you have like a weak heart or something. There's just various forms of disability to be expected after that. Chronic pains and muscle twitches, partial paralyses, even personality changes or memory loss. There was Roy Sullivan, too. That guy's been struck by lightning like 7 times. Ei must have had it out for him or something.
Fun fact... Even item descriptions and quest diaplogues change after this quest to remove all mentions of the Greater Lord... So if you did the Aranara quest after this for example, they never mention the greater lord and think that Nahida has always been the Dendro Archon...
I started the Aranara quest before the archon quest, but left it halfway through to finish it. Now I'm wishing I had finished the Aranara quest before proceeding with the archon one :(
Well on Venti's defense, we didn't really ask him about Khaenriah despite us having so many opportunities. Venti's also the only out of the 3 who doesn't have a 2nd story quest. Zhongli and Ei's 2nd quests are about an old comrade of theirs so if it applies to Venti as well, maybe we'll get some insight about Istaroth (The Thousand Winds God)
this was probably one of the saddest archon quests fr also al-haitham saying “I’m not like the rest of them.” Makes me feel like he’s saying “I’m not like other girls” LMAO 1:50:29 - where I left off (don’t mind this for now)
Nahida doesn't even have to battle Scaramouche. She just had to put him to sleep. Like Pokemon. She put him to sleep and then revived her strongest party member 😂
Best Archon Quest of all Time yet I'm excited for this community to find the flaws of it. The longest yet the most memorable and Nahida really became my favorite Archon. I really hope She had the King Gnosis base on her position being the Guarding of Irminsul and the Nature of Teyvat

The Sumeru AQs have been absolute bangers, definitely the best writing they've ever done in genshin (imo). I hope they continue to write amazing stuff like this.
Even though it was a dream, it was created to be accurate as possible so scaramouche wouldn't figure it out. Which means traveler canonically has enough physical strength to stop several tons of metal slamming down on him
I mean, we've duked it out with 2 gods and a dragon before Sumeru, plus the Canned Knowledge capsules. I also would expect that we got stronger after receiving the blessing of 4 elements. But, with all honesty, I love Sumeru and its quests. It has top tier writing compared to other nations we have so far. I was genuinely impressed when I played the Archon quests myself and still feel the same when I re-watch them.
IT JUST HIT ME in the previous archon quest where we learn of scara's backstory, nahida tells us that shes gonna protect our mind or something. do you think we wouldve ended up like haypasia had nahida not been there? i mean, idk, i cant be sure, but like.. id think we could still be susceptible to going insane like the village keepers, probably, maybe??

The best thing about this quest (well in terms of game design, it's so sad) is that Rukkhadevata has been completely removed from the game. All descriptions were changed accordingly.

Bwaap, as far as I remember the descenders are: 1. Phanos AKA the first who came he was the one that allowed life in Teyvat at by defeating the former rulers in that time. 2. The second who came AKA the heavenly principles who had been checked to have done something with the first descender and hid everything about that. 3. It is still unknown but a very possible candidate is Alice as she has actually traveled through other worlds. 4. The traveler (Unofficial) 5. Aloy
There's actually a theory that Phanos is Paimon. Though this might not be true let's look at the possibilities. If this was true then either Phanos was from this world, or Paimon lied about forgetting. Reasons for this theory is actually all the theories saying she's the unknown god, her being a Seelie, and her being the God of time. Someone speculates she is actually the originator for all 3 of these hence why she shares similar traits, she was the one who gave them those traits. But that's just a Theory. A COMMENT THEORY!

I dont know if you know this but fun fact, Balladeer, as the first puppet created by Ei has a name in chinese which writes "国崩“ which means "big cannon" so there is a meme about him in the chinese community where people call him "雷大炮” Which is Raiden Big cannon
I'm not too brushed up on Chinese characters, but isn't 国崩 the same as kunikuzushi, meaning "country destroyer"? Probably a mix up on your part but just wanted to make sure because it sure doesn't look like "big cannon"

You ARE wrong in translating 国崩. 国崩 does mean "country destroyer" in both Chinese and Japanese. Guóbēng in Chinese, Kunikuzushi in Japanese. 大炮 is "big cannon" in both Chinese and Japanese.
The Sumeru Archon quest writing has improved alot since Inazuma…we feel more for the npc’s and each characters are well presented and plays key roles while working together with us…its soo cool
the fight against scaramouche was by far the most confusing fight ever. i had barbara on my team, so i didn’t die… it was just an endless fight of me not knowing what to do😅

The fact that his still using traveler as a main makes me so confident in using lumine ever since i first played the game😊 that archon quest was really long, and since i was late on the release too cuz ive been stuck in chasm figuring how to do the world quest and ive missed out on alot of things especially i was out for a month too...
the amount of the lore that came with this quest is actually kinda insane, super excited for the next! also interested to see what happens with scaramouche & dottore..
I'm going to mention something I don't really think a whole lot of people have pointed out -- but in the prologue archon quest in Mondstadt, one of the Abyss Mages with the Abyss traveller actually outright mentions about how they'll be able to get their homeland back. IIRC, this was after Venti purified the Holy Lyre and used it to call for Dvalin along with the traveller, Diluc and Jean and Venti got injured. Initially, no one knew what this really meant, but now that we've got more info and are halfway through our journey, it can only mean that the Abyss traveller somehow really is from Khaenri'ah. How they're from there when it's been strongly rumoured that both of the siblings are stars and that they both crashed into Teyvat years ago is still a little hazy but I feel as though we're going to get more information about them hopefully in the future. I hope we don't have to wait for too long for this information but I'm also betting it'll be revealed at the end of the game when we're at Snezhnaya.
For all the whining people did about not wanting a "kid archon" (not including the criticism about the absolute lack of melanin, just the child part), Nahida really became my favourite archon😂 I love the way she speaks and the fact she truly cares about the people of Sumeru! And also the aspect of her trying so hard to live up to the people's expectation and helping them wherever she could... I love her so much. I like the other archons too, but Nahida is my favourite BY FAR!
Nahida is a good character "despite" her design, not because of it. Every problem with adult children "actually 500 years old" is kinda still there. She was well written, and we're glad she was.

This archon quest was why I pulled for Nahida. Got the entire Scaramouche femcel fandom hating on her was some girlboss behaviour lmao. And it was so worth it because she’s of such great value.

Of all the Archons we've met, Nahida is the one that cared the most for the country she calls home. Her actions alone were enough to send the message, you could just see how much she loved Sumeru and everyone in it. Nahida is a caring leader with a heart of gold. No other character comes close, in my opinion.
YEEESSSSIIIRRR I JUST finished the archon quest and I gotta say from a lore stand point this is the most important quest and the whole feel of this entire quest was simply unlike all the others, I had a blast and it only makes me more curious for what's in store and really makes me appreciate the game even more

Edit: I also understand why Mond and Liyue felt kinda lacking since they were the first regions. Inazuma tho honestly, idky they went that way. Even Zhongli story quest had better delivery than both of Inazuma archon quests.

For Monsdadt, Jean and Diluc are present but they play too little of a role story-wise. Like, they are supposed to be the most capable fighters remaining in Monsdadt, but there is no cutscenes that showcases how Jean and Diluc work in the Archon quest. Like, I wanted a cutscene where they fight the dragon like how Liyue crew was fighting Osial.
In Liyue we spent 80% of the time with Zhongli, so it’s not surprised that we felt disconnected with other main casts until the final battle.
Inazuma’s backstory is probably one of the best, as detailed in Ei’s second story quest, but the archon quest really was lackluster especially the sangonimia part.
I love how Alhaitham is a Scribe but he's Cocky but at the same time he's so Competent that it's deserved.

So the traveller didnt actually dodge, in the previous dreams Balladeer predicted that "you" will dash backwards so balladeer was leading his shot. Balladeer know that by using the prediction feature from the akasha, but this time in reality "you" learned from the previous dreams that Balladeer would lead his shot so you didnt dodge. You basically outsmarted his outsmarting.

Well she IS the God of Wisdom. I figure a Wisdom God would know more than a Freedom God, Eternity God and Contracts God...
And she does have Irminsul which records everything regarding this world. Easy money!
From a lore perspective, she's really the only one who can reliably give us this information. Barbatos has been asleep for a long time and only woke up because of Dvalin going crazy, Morax is a bit of a mystery but as the God of Contracts he probably has his reasons, Beelzebub has isolated herself and as the Raiden Shogun she only focused on pursuing eternity.
Our sibling is also a mystery in of itself. For the first 3 archons who don't have access to all the knowledge of Teyvat, it's kinda two sides working against eachother.

The Sumeru AQs have been absolute bangers, definitely the best writing they've ever done in genshin (imo). I hope they continue to write amazing stuff like this.
Even though it was a dream, it was created to be accurate as possible so scaramouche wouldn't figure it out. Which means traveler canonically has enough physical strength to stop several tons of metal slamming down on him
I mean, we've duked it out with 2 gods and a dragon before Sumeru, plus the Canned Knowledge capsules. I also would expect that we got stronger after receiving the blessing of 4 elements.
But, with all honesty, I love Sumeru and its quests. It has top tier writing compared to other nations we have so far.
I was genuinely impressed when I played the Archon quests myself and still feel the same when I re-watch them.

There's actually a theory that Phanos is Paimon. Though this might not be true let's look at the possibilities.
If this was true then either Phanos was from this world, or Paimon lied about forgetting.

You ARE wrong in translating 国崩. 国崩 does mean "country destroyer" in both Chinese and Japanese. Guóbēng in Chinese, Kunikuzushi in Japanese. 大炮 is "big cannon" in both Chinese and Japanese.
The Sumeru Archon quest writing has improved alot since Inazuma…we feel more for the npc’s and each characters are well presented and plays key roles while working together with us…its soo cool

The fact that his still using traveler as a main makes me so confident in using lumine ever since i first played the game😊 that archon quest was really long, and since i was late on the release too cuz ive been stuck in chasm figuring how to do the world quest and ive missed out on alot of things especially i was out for a month too...
the amount of the lore that came with this quest is actually kinda insane, super excited for the next! also interested to see what happens with scaramouche & dottore..
I'm going to mention something I don't really think a whole lot of people have pointed out -- but in the prologue archon quest in Mondstadt, one of the Abyss Mages with the Abyss traveller actually outright mentions about how they'll be able to get their homeland back. IIRC, this was after Venti purified the Holy Lyre and used it to call for Dvalin along with the traveller, Diluc and Jean and Venti got injured. Initially, no one knew what this really meant, but now that we've got more info and are halfway through our journey, it can only mean that the Abyss traveller somehow really is from Khaenri'ah. How they're from there when it's been strongly rumoured that both of the siblings are stars and that they both crashed into Teyvat years ago is still a little hazy but I feel as though we're going to get more information about them hopefully in the future. I hope we don't have to wait for too long for this information but I'm also betting it'll be revealed at the end of the game when we're at Snezhnaya.

Of all the Archons we've met, Nahida is the one that cared the most for the country she calls home. Her actions alone were enough to send the message, you could just see how much she loved Sumeru and everyone in it.
Nahida is a caring leader with a heart of gold. No other character comes close, in my opinion.

YEEESSSSIIIRRR I JUST finished the archon quest and I gotta say from a lore stand point this is the most important quest and the whole feel of this entire quest was simply unlike all the others, I had a blast and it only makes me more curious for what's in store and really makes me appreciate the game even more
