I love the simplicity of the build/buy mode of Sims 1 - it just feels like a safe, happy, nostalgic space 😂 I feel like there are too many options in Sims 4. Thanks for more Sims 1 Ryan, I always look forward to any Sims 1 and 2 gameplay

This. It's simple to focus on actual gameplay but has enough depth to build beautiful styled houses and public lots. I think Sims 2 editor is perfect in that sense.

The build buy music in The Sims 1 always relaxes me. When I used to build in the sims1, I would always just do one massive square and shove stuff in. I had heard the term "open plan" and so I never even put any inner walls up either 😂
What about the bathroom? 😂
@@lhwesterlund lol the open plan bot was usually only downstairs. Upstairs would be normal and have walls to separate bedrooms and bathrooms... I'm not a monster hahaha 🤣

I didn’t mean to but this was based on the house I grew up in in the 90s. Minus the pool and expensive furniture 🤣
@@ryanplaysthesims don’t worry my parents also had a red patterned carpet finished off with a dado rail. It’s not a 90s house without a dado rail 😂🤣
I think you did really good on the house. If I was in the Sims 1 and I saw that house I would bought the house immediately and moved in with my family.
I loved building faux shelled homes in the sims 1. It made the homes look amazing on the map. For example, the shell would look like a 2 floor home but I only use the first floor & the second floor is dead space
You did a great job! The sims 1 is not easy. It’s a challenge in itself keeping your sims alive! I’m an OG player and I still get stressed with the sims 1 after 17 years 😂
Build mod in Sims 1 is kinda depressing but you manage to make it funny. I’m french so kinda hard to understand everything you say (and you speak way too fast for me) but I understood enough to laugh a few times. Thanks for all those memories !

Honestly? You did a great job, this house is a slay. I really liked that you based the floor plan on real home designs, and you made great use of space.
I mean, TS1 being TS1 there's probably not enough space to play properly so it would be a nightmare but it does look nice, especially the outside
I tried to make it based on all the houses I lived in as a kid so it came out as a weird mix 💀 yeah, this would be an absolute nightmare to play in though!

You are kinda suppose to build bigger rooms in Sims 1 to not feel claustrophobic with furnishing, this also improves room score. Besides that, the house is beautiful :D
So very British! Not sure I remember any of my friends having a pool in a 3 bed semi with shared kitchen and dining but, goals 😂. Someone has their priorities right 😝.
My enthusiasm for keeping it British dwindled very fast 🤣 I just wanted a pool ok?!

this is me building too lol in sims 1-4 XD im happy if it has 4 walls and a few rooms lol, i have low expectations so you aced it in my opinion !! edited to add: I'll never get over the English phrase "can't be arsed" cuz it's my favorite! I first heard it from Plumbella but it tickles me hearing it in your soliloquy on building here lmao

Honestly, for someone who kept complaining throughout, you've ended up with a beauty there. Especially considering the limits this game throws your way. This is like a utopian version of the average semi-detached house. Just lacked the fireplace. Where the TV was should've been the obligatory fireplace that seems to be in every living room I've seen.
