I played quite a lot with the sims 1 but never got good at it. XD I remember basically three things about it: I never figured out how to put a roof on top of the house, the sound effect from the flies still haunts me to this day, and I gave this exact dress to the first sim I ever made. ♥
Even though it seems stressful I’m soooo jealous of all the game play here! Plus sooo many cool objects. None of the other Sims famous-esque expansions are this good😭😭😭
to get the black roses you need to be halfway famous anyway - and not have a maid or servo otherwise the roses instantly disappear if you get them at all
This game actually feels like a game, the last time I tried to play the sims 4 everything feels so fake and there's no challenge at all, it's like playing with a GPT that always tells you what you want to hear or like when we disconnected our little siblings'control and told them they were playing with us.
Yeah one of the biggest thing the sims lost over the years is the structure that challenges brought. Now the only alternative is making our own. It’s so easy to get bored now because of this
I feel like I was too young to understand the mechanics of Sims Superstar when I was a kid. The game was incredibly difficult, more than it needed to be in my opinion. I didn’t pick up on the fact that in order to build star power you had to advance through all of the fame career fields, not just one. In my head I wanted to be a tv star and couldn’t understand why I was failing so much as a 0 star celeb. Lol And even though I understand how to make it work now as an adult, I’m still not a fan of the random guessing sequence you need to do for modeling, singing, and acting.
I still only do one haha, like only film stuff for tv star, or singing stuff for singer. I make it to 5 stars, but it takes a while... probably doing it Ryans way is faster!

And this was both devastating and surprising giving me an opportunity to play this game again.
Even though I’ve been playing the sims franchise for over 15 years I’m so confused on how I never knew The Sims 1 had expansion packs! Perhaps bc I only played it on the PlayStation. Then transferred to PC with Sims 2
you never did finish your original rags to riches playthrough version of this, is that because that last half-star is almost impossible to actually get?
When your sim actually sucked at the beginning and had to get better unlike in the sims 3 where your sim is an amazing singer as soon as you start a singing career

its sad sims 2 is the only game in the series that does not have famous sims or to become famous its weird, how sims 2 never got it

I remember using a spell from Makin' Magic to befriend the famous people. It's really nostalgic watching this gameplay, thanks for the content!
