    I had a scorpion a few years ago and I foolishly sold it when I was tight on cash trying to get into other hobbies. Also being a fool, I let my CCW expire and then bought a new Scorpion a few days ago and get to pick it up tomorrow. Hope you don't mind but I love your build and will be trying to replicate it. Only problem for me is I do not have any 3D printing skills haha. Love the trigger you have on there. I will also be trying to get it SBR'd and suppressed in the future. Thanks for the video and hyped to see how well this looks. Subbed bro!

      Imitation is the highest form of flattey! I appreciate the kind words. As for the trigger, check out the HBI options - they also reduce overtravel in a similar way as the one I designed. Tandemkross has a cool trigger option as well that also includes pre-travel adjustment. Good luck with your build! Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing!

      @dltz do you happen to have the digital file of the mount you made for your light pressure pad? I have a buddy who has a printer that may be able to make it for me if you do not mind.
      Also, looking forward to any future content bro! Glad to see the 2a community out doing things

      I appreciate that. I have thought of selling the parts I design and make for guns, but I do not know if I really want to go through the trouble of doing so. If you're looking for a pressure pad mount specific to the Streamlight I would recommend Shaffer Machining: www.shaffermachining.com/product-page/streamlight-pressure-switch-m-lok-mount There are way more options out there for the Surefire tape switches but I cannot justify the cost of the Surefire scout lights to myself. Those Rugged Obsidians are awesome pistol caliber cans! Have a couple of them and run them on all my sub guns. Nice job on the 3D printed stuff...that's an itch I've yet to scratch, but so cool seeing what folks come up with. That trigger looks phenomenal. ive been debating for weeks. get one of these and mod it out. or get an AR and mod that out. after looking at 556. ammo prices. the CZ is looking better and better. this will be my first rifle, lots of pistols but no rifles. suggestions ? ur CZ is badass

    • @EngineersArmory
      @EngineersArmory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you do not have a rifle. Buy an AR-15. This is technically a "short barreled rifle," but really its a pistol you can fire from your shoulder. Its not very useful past 50 yards. Also, paying for the tax stamp is an extra 200 dollars. Buy an AR-15, the most common rifle in America, that shoots the most common caliber in America. For the price of this (including tax stamp it was $2200) you can build out a sick AR with great features and a nice optic. Remember - all rifles need a sling, optic, and white light minimum. Hope this helps... build an AR. The 16" carbine version of this would be a fine choice for a rifle except they are discontinued and you cannot find them anymore unless someone is selling a used one.

    • @ChrisCom.
      @ChrisCom. ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EngineersArmory appreciate it brother. The range was a concern of mine. That just cleared that up. AR it is. Any suggestions on a decent reliable starter AR ?

    • @EngineersArmory
      @EngineersArmory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChrisCom. I like to build my own ARs and I always start with Aero Precision - I really like their products. I have had good luck with Palmetto State Armory products as well. In terms of fully built ARs depending on price look into PSA, BCM, Daniel Defense, Ruger, Sig, IWI. It depends on if you want to buy one and run it, or modify it. If you're into building and modifying then maybe just start with a build - its pretty straight forward, lots of great videos out there, and also the AR15 is all mil-spec so the parts and components are all generally going to be compatible (don't forget to check head spacing though!!). If you think you might only change out a stock or a pistol grip then just buy a complete gun. Start with a 16" barrel gun - that way you don't have to worry about making it an SBR or pin and welding a muzzle device, you can put whatever muzzle device you want on it. Those are just my recommendations, I am by no means an expert on ARs, but I hope this helps!

    • @EngineersArmory

      I ordered this back in July 2022 when the 3+ started hitting the shelves. I specifically wanted this one due to the aftermarket support. I figured with the 3+ coming out the Evo 3 S1 pistol would be discontinued soon. It looks like its still available. The scorpion carbines have been discontinued. Does the CZ Scorpion throw blowback on your face when using a suppressor? Is it fixable?

    • @EngineersArmory

      It's a direct blow back 9mm. It's a bit gassy but not terrible. Not really anything you can do about it other than a flow thru suppressor rather than a baffle core design.

      Thanks for commenting! I appreciate the input! I have not published any of my designs. I'm a bit in a weird space with that. Part of me wants to make them available to anyone who wants them. Part of me wants to sell them as I have many designs for many guns (some are featured in other videos), while trying to remain anonymous as possible. What I would rather see happen is that others get inspired to take on some design work themselves and come up with their own solutions - especially with how accessible additive manufacturing is now. Short answer is No, I have not published my designs and I do not know if I will do that or sell them in the future. If something changes, the people who have commented on my videos asking about my designs will be notified. Thanks again!

    which rugged suppressor is this. i have been looking into there products for my cz. Is the obsidian 9 gonna be quieter than the 45? im just getting into the suppressor world im trying to have my next suppressor not be a disappointment like my first and have it truly optimized for my cz any help is greatly appreciated..

    • @EngineersArmory
      @EngineersArmory  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the Rugged Obsidian 45. I run it on 45 caliber pistols and my 9mms all the time. Its very modular so you can configure it however you want. I run 45 caliber boosters, 9mm boosters, 9mm direct thread, and 9mm 3 lug. I am very happy with it and have found solutions in the Rugged product line for every gun I want to run it on. I highly recommend it. As for the noise difference I feel it is negligible. My buddy has the Obsidian 9mm and if I put a 9mm front cap on mine (so the baffles are 45 cal, but the front of the suppressor where the bullet exits is 9mm) and I cannot tell a difference in noise with or without hearing protection. These suppressors are very well regarded and very popular and I feel it is for a good reason. In terms of putting it on a Scorpion, you can use 3 lug (requires a thread on muzzle device) or direct thread - either option would work great! I hope this helps, if you have anymore questions I can do my best to answer them here if you reply to this comment thread. Thanks for watching!

    • @EngineersArmory
      @EngineersArmory  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brantleyspringmeyer2576 I almost never shoot without hearing protection. Depending on the 9mm round the bullet is still breaking the sound barrier and making a super sonic crack which is above the level of hearing safe. Always wear your PPE! Subsonic ammo in 9mm with this suppressor is hearing safe although I still generally wear hearing protection as extended exposure is not good.
