Every Video is GOLD ! Keep em coming champ ! We love em ! ps I completely forgot about text under primary !! GR8 SOLID INFORMATION ! subscribed sooo long ago, it’s all so good ! Thanks Dylan
A great video to refresh my memory on tips I was aware of, but forgot about and to bring my attention to the brilliant 'Slip and Slide' tip. So many times I've dragged a copy of a clip above the original, moved the start of that copy, then adjusted the end to keep it the same size of the original, then swapped it out back into the timeline!! 🙈 Yes I'm a fool!! 😅 Oh and props to your thumbnail for this vid! Awesome design 🔥👌🏻
Wow dude that thing with the title and transition was always so frustrating lol when I seen your tip on how to fix that I was like well Damm lol 😂 thanks again…
Big thanks for your excellent work Dylan! 🤗 However for some reason the first tip doesn´t work in my FCP. 🤔 I tried carefully with several kind of texts, both on single clips and compound clips. The text just does not become visible on top of the clip. I haven´t update to the latest 11 yet (because I am in the middle of an important project) so would it make a difference?
i think i have seen it before but for example.... I have an adjustment layer and i want to change duration to make it go all the way to the end..... Isn't there a quick button to make it do that with out me having to drag the edge to make it go longer? Because right now I always have to grab and drag.
Hmm well you could press Control D, time in the duration you want and hit enter, but I'm not sure that's faster. Unfortunately there's no automatic adjustment.
Heh... funny how out of place the Optimized Media and Proxy tips feel with today's Apple Silicon devices. I guess those 8K users, or those using manufacturer-specific codecs may still use it. But I suspect most of us haven't worried about proxies in years.
Still using an i9 without using Optimized Media and Proxy Tips…. That being said, rendering 4K files can get slow…. Nonetheless, still haven’t bothered to learn how Optimized and Proxy work.
I’m surprised that the first tip is even a thing, I’ve never used a video editor that doesn’t allow an effect or transition to work only on the object above a clip. Good to know I guess but at odds with editors generally.
Thanks for these! That text under the main clip, and the option ] to cut ALL clips to one spot are going to save my life. Thanks dude!
Scott! How nice of you brother 🙏 seriously. Thanks so much 😊

Very odd! I'm not sure why that would be 🤔
