I have a lot more garden space but I let strawberries do their thing, they make such a great edible ground cover, what a wonderful plant. I love to give the babies away same with my blackberries, you are doing a good job I'm glad I came across your channel

I help with a school garden program in SE Arizona. The kids have been raking and stomping leaves this week then mulching our raised beds and trees with them. I have been surprised at how much fun they seem to be having!

I just finished cleaning up my strawberries and planted up some runs. I keep up with my strawberries. Because I hate a messy plant.
They say its best to pot them up whole attached to the mother plant. But it will root if its not too hot.

I loved this video. Really you make it look so easy. That is wht I like about you. Easy, anyone can do it, and yet you are knowledgeable about your content. I have two strawberry plants and I am going to either repot them or grow them out in a bigger area and see how they expand. We are approaching summer. We did not have a good spring. Lots and lots of rain,but things are growing.

Ive been collecting my leaves and other things making compost also. The strawberry patch Wow😊. I started some in the hydro and transplanted them in soil. They are flowering and really starting to grow. Will they grow back if the frost gets them. Your garden just keep on giving up the goods😊👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Your strawberries look great, I have never had and luck with them! What is your secret to growing them?
Thank you! O no, I’m sorry to hear that. I keep the soil moist. Strawberries like moisture. I personally let my runners live until fall. It’s good ground cover which helps the soil retain moisture. Other than that I fertilize in the spring with fish emulsion, add some compost to the bed and let them do their thing. Mine are also a bit shaded for some of the day so that could be helping in the summer when it’s super hot out. Hope this helps.
Dont you have bug (cockroaches) in your compost? Every time I have tried to make compost i have gotten bugs 😢
I haven’t so far. It’s important to have a good mix of carbon and nitrogen. Do you use a lot of cardboard?
