    Your garden is so lush and beautiful. I'm experimenting with weed/comfrey tea this year as well. I am afraid of the metals in fish emulsion building up in my soil. Thanks for your honesty and I love your humor along with it. ❤😊 Thanks for sharing!

      Oh, the reason they add the aeration device to the tea is to keep the solution from becoming anaerobic which changes the type of bacteria that can grow in it.

    The hose for the comfrey tea, from my understanding is used for burping the solution, so It doesn't blow the top off the reservoir holding the liquid due to it's own gas being produced. I don't use a hose either. I also chop my watermelon vines and put them back in my soil...I love this channel!

    Asia you should put a mosquito net over your rain water to keep leaves, bugs, mosquitoes out . The garden looks phenomenal.

      @LosingDrea ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would think the soil would love the leaves and bugs but yeah breeding mosquitoes nooo. They sell some net on Temu but I was thinking using some tule on a tote with some binder clips to clip it around the edges should work good.

  • @pkharris

    Your berries are probably benefitting from the care you have given to the soil. I have heard that soil gets better every season that its given the nutrients that feed the good organisms that are supposed to be there. Those organisms are then able to produce what the plants need.
    That stinky liquid is FULL of the stuff that rejuvenates the soil. I saw someone on TH-cam who filled a barrel with leaves and other cuttings from his yard. He adds water and a lid and waits a few months for it to become what he calls "Free Fertilizer".
    I'm amazed! ❤

    Thanks for reminder feed soil. So far tried worm tea, compost tea and weed tea. Trying save little money and its worked great. I usually add some bone meal or fish emulsion depending on stage of the plant . Trying compost second year new method from Millennial Gardner ( use trash can ,and put holes in bottom), it has work very very well and fast. Also doing some leaf mold, built section and when fall comes I have plenty place put leaves to use. I need them for additional beds I have. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy gardening and stay cool.
