I have an old Aerogarden 6 that I have put a stand next to with additional light. Right now it has a nice jalapeno and cherry tomato growing in it, both with many fruit. The unit no longer pumps as far as I can tell, so it is a kratky system. I premix the nutrients in a gallon milk container and just add when the water level goes down.
I started doing small kratky using recycled yogurt containers for indoor lettuce, mostly because lettuce cannot survive the outdoor summers here. I rotate lettuce throughout the year now indoors, so there is always a lettuce to pick from. While we do not eat a lot of lettuce here (we prefer leafy greens like chard, beet greens, kale, broccoli greens, collards), it IS nice to have some lettuce available all the time.

This was interesting but I think a bit too complicated for me. That is pretty cool that your light can go about 2 or 3 feet tall! I am going to be using some Oasis cubes in a rectangular container with an aeration hose in it connected to a pump. I grew some peppers last year in clay balls but the balls are kind of a pain because they can fall out of the net cups into the reservoir. I heard that Oasis doesn't need to be Ph adjusted like rock wool does.

I already have a several different hydroponic units. I love how high you can adjust the light and the fact that you have both trays for larger plants and seed starting or very small plants. Having the water reservoir is very helpful too. Thanks for sharing😊

I'm so excited for you. I have an aero brand with only 6 pods but it makes a salad for me. I also grow Hamama sprouts. Costly so I need to figure out how to do micro sprouts myself. Blessings to you and family

I have a hydroponic system that I got from Amazon. I got three. One is very small. Only 4 pods that I have in my living room. No filter. No light variation. One in my dining room that is now growing herbs and has 12 pods. I had a second 12 pod system but something was wrong with it and it didn’t work right. The light arm wouldn’t connect properly and it kept beeping all the time. Looking for a replacement.
I did find that starting my garden seeds in it was not great. They sprouted but the plugs are not really biodegradable. They are a sponge like thing and don’t let you take the plant out of it. I do jeep stuff growing in them so they do have a purpose.
I was looking forward to getting the gardening stool but my country (Kenya) has increased the tax on imports I can't even afford it anymore 😢. You ate doing great, keep it up.

I’ve seen people say that they have and the plants seem survived but others have said the plants did not survive. I personally haven’t ever tried it. But you know I’ll try anything 🤣 so I say give it a try! You’re welcome! I was definitely struggling 🤣.
