Finally did it myself absolute pain in the ass! But so worth it actually insane I drove 2 days without a spring just to see how it was much better than stock but with mtec spring the clutch is just PERFECT
@@turkicsayajin2274 it’s like a happy medium without the spring the clutch feels extremely squishy when your coming off the clutch. With the mtec spring its not squishy at all and you can really feel that bite point unlike stock
@@turkicsayajin2274 personally I did yes it’s extremely easy to adjust #12 wrench losen 1 bolt twist the whole rod feels a lot better after adjustment it’s nearly as important as the spring imo
drive it 1000miles + and it feels perfect to me. The 1st 1000 miles it was finicky like an on and off button. I have drove manuals for 20+years of all sorts of vehicles including dual disc clutch diesel and a lightweight flywheel 350z. You shouldn't need to dick with a clutch spring to have the engagement you want. You need better modulation of the clutch/throttle takes practice to adapt.
Out of curiosity, I am used to a clutch stiffness out of a 91 Ford F150, or an old 90s toyota 4runner. What is the stiffness of the clutch in the BRZ, Wrx or GR86 compared to a 90s clutch?
I love your vids so much. You go straight to the point not like some other youtubers that blue ball the viewer. I remember you have an ARK exhaust? will you also put that back in? for the track build?
That is a huge emphasis this time around, I want to get straight to the point, attention span on TH-cam atleast for me is very short, I hate watching stupid long videos for things that can be summed up in 5 minutes. As far as the Ark Exhaust goes, it’s still up in the air. Thankfully it is legal to have a catback in Stock Class. But there’s some stuff in the works exhaust wise, so it just depends on the timing
100% a lot more feel in the clutch. If you don’t like how light the clutch is then this will do wonders. Take the clutch spring out first. See how it is without it and if you don’t mind the slip at the top, then stick with that!
Just installed this on my 2020 brz and it’s better then the stock spring for sure thanks for the install tutorial🤓

what’s the difference between mt clutch and spring less ?

@@infinity3016 thank you for answering, did you also lower the clutch pedal height ?

@@infinity3016 thank you for your time, i’m cooked because the nut behind the rod is over tightened and i can’t get it loose ! 😆💀

I removed the spring and found the clutch feel to be a bit better. Not heavy at all.
Enjoyed it without the spring, though I had already bought the part so might as well have thrown it on while reassembling
Will the mtech spring fit on the 23 WRX I wonder? Mtech website only lists for the BRZ.

Job's done. Cursed all and everything in the process.
This is my 3rd day trying to put the pin back in! any suggestions on what to do???

@Eddie Lepiz Ohhh pretty exited to see 👀
YOOOO I was planning to buy this, does this really make a change in clutch feel?

@Eddie Lepiz Thank you man! looking forward to your track build of the BRZ.
I DID IT BUT I LOST THE clip lol
Why not just get rid of it all together ?
Though it felt good, wasn’t a fan of the slack without any spring
@@EddieLepiz great 👍 info
this looks easy. why does everyone say this is so hard?
