    The audacity of this dogwater company is hilarious. For those that don't know, Kevin Vo was fired from FT Speed on 12/13/2022 in a disgusting way. Buy your parts from somewhere else than FTSpeed or Subispeed folks; support somewhere that supports its employees and treats them with respect.
    An 8-year, passionate, face-of-your company employee deserves the respect and courtesy of at least a conversation being had about any conflicts of interest or things that would necessitate termination of employment if continued.
    To outright fire him out of the blue without giving him a heads up or notice that something he is doing/saying will not fly and deny him the ability to make an informed decision on what his options are going forward reflects poorly upon FTSpeed/Subispeed.
    In a game where you just play the middleman, I will gladly take my business elsewhere to some other middleman that isn't FTSpeed/SubiSpeed; there are a plethora of other options out there that can access more or less the same catalogue of items.
    FTSpeed/Subiespeed did Kevin Vo dirty, when Kevin Vo was a SIGNIFICANT part of why the company is as successful as it is today - hopefully yall's marketshare takes a deserving hit and Kevin lands somewhere that will treat him better and be worthy of the good-business his passion and efforts bring forth.
    If you enjoy content like this, look up and support Kevin Vo's personal youtube channel, where I'm sure he'll be continuing to put out excellent, valueable content without getting screwed by SubiSpeed.

    Thanks for these tips! Shutting off the seat belt alarm is great, and a keyless code for the trunk is a big help as well. The engine noise isn’t fake. It’s actually the car’s engine sound on a speaker. Seems like a useless gimmick except it’s helpful when you’re on a track with the windows open (usually a safety requirement) and can’t hear the engine to know when to shift. People are connecting the speaker back on to go on track.

    • @TheXboxSux
      @TheXboxSux 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    FYI. you can take it to the dealer to disable the "engine" sounds. It's a setting when they hook it up the computer. If you don't feel comfortable removing those panels. Also, i have see people unplug that speaker with just removing the side panel. its a little tricky. If only the one I "ordered" in December would actually show up!

    • @FTspeed
      @FTspeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Yes, you can definitely bring it to the dealer if that is convenient! Also, Kevin only removed the panels so he could film the box for people to see. You certainly can remove it by just removing that one side panel. Kevin has been waiting since November so he knows how you feel.

    Keep the setting where the door handle only unlocks your side of the door. Turn off the setting where when you put the car in parked, it unlocks all of the doors. While these may seem as convenient features, they will compromise your safety, criminals will simply wait for you to unlock the door or put the car into parked and then run up on you.

      @@Joe-uf9ml I never researched the winter weather package, I obviously have it because of the heated seats. I’ve have/owned cars that have heated outside mirrors and they have a small “heat” icon on the mirror, because my BRZ doesn’t have that and there is no mention of it in the manual and after hearing about the lack of features that this car has, it was a shock for me to have a “bonus” feature

      Some third party diagnostic tools (120 USD and up, generally) allow you to set the TPMS to zero, essentially. I did this with my Jeeps using the older style tool that is popular for off-roaders. You had to set tiny dip switches and plug it in to teach the vehicle 0 was good to go. The newer ones have a nice user interface, but maybe wait until we know the GR86 is included in the software. (Models like the Autel TS408 do software updates online, as do the higher end ODB scan tools).

    Lol the keyless entry on the trunk is so unnecessarily complicated. Lincoln has been doing that since the late 80s.

    Am really thinking of getting one, especially since this blue is my favorite color, is this a good daily for city driving?

      Definitely good for daily driving, have one for about 3 months now and I recently moved to a new city. Drives perfectly fine to work and basically everywhere

      these cars arent really that great for dailying, they dont get exceptional mpg, they ride a bit rougher, they dont have much space, and especially with the 86, they are not very fast in a straight line which is pretty much daily driving... how often do you attack bends in your day to day commute? 🤣

    • @yobs.
      @yobs. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@goomerpyle6005 it gets smiles per gallon ;) but yes, you aren’t wrong. it’s not nearly as convenient to daily as something like a prius, honda civic, etc. but those gripes don’t bother me personally haha i’ve gotten used to it and find it quite fun to drive to work so to each their own :)

    I’ve never seen the tpms button on any vehicle before but that would be fantastic to switch from winters to summers, drifting or even just different wheels
