  • In this video I show the breakdown of the air suspension system on this 2009 BMW 750, it has single axle air suspension in the rear. I show some testing points and methods and what it took to fix this particular one.

    I really like the thorough way you perform the tests. It would be even better to mount your camera on a tripod. The constant moving camera made me kind of seasick.

    I have a problem with my bmw 740ld 2016 g11-g12 with chassis restricted they find code 4828fd vdp solenoid valve -rear left-plausible error of curent controler and front left after they took computer out they plug again when they check show right rear one did you have this problem? Do you think can be control module because compresor is working fine

    Nice. Job! I have a similar problem with a 2015. I can’t control the compressor with the scanner. The fuses in the luggage compartment are good and I have power to the relay but the control side never activates. Can fuse 34 in the glove compartment be controlling this?

      I believe the control side is supplied power by the air ride module to control the pump activation via the relay

    Hi, great video thanks. My car was flat at the back. I diagnosed it and found the “round” valve was bad. Replaced it. Now the car is high, really high. I have reset the codes and tried to reset the height. Nothing is happening. Any clues? Thanks

      will have to try recalibrating, if I remember correctly it can be a little tricky

    How can I do these tests without a scanner that can activate the compressor & modules. I have a passive scanner built for a bmw that will read suspension codes. It will activate brakes but not not sure about the compressor. My 2012 750 was working fine but I let it sit for 6 weeks & it’s on the ground in the back. I can hear the compressor, but no love on raising back end.

      It would be hard but I would say you can remove the lines at the valve block and see if air comes out when you here the compressor run. That will tell you if the compressor is making enough psi and if the valve block is opening up

    Hi pal, what transducers are you using there?

    • @DTEAuto

      for this testing I used the snap on 100/500 psi transducers

    • @DTEAuto
      @DTEAuto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably would look into replacing the line or repairing the fittings if it is at a connection point

    I don’t have all the pressure Device can I check the compressor and the valve block with soapy water?
    And how can check if the spring leaks ?

    • @DTEAuto
      @DTEAuto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Soapy water will definitely work, and if you can spray the airbags do so, if not you will have to try and listen for a leak if it is large enough at the bags.

    F' airbag suspension! They've always been rubbish. From E38 up.
    Even as a dealer, we used to offer to delete the entire system when they failed. Worked out way cheaper and don't have to think about it again. Converted more E53's than I can remember.

      Yeah it's crazy how common and similar all these air suspension system problems are.
