I've inserted the provided compression nut fitting into the gas valve. Inserted the pilot gas tube into the fitting until it stopped and tightened the nut. Checked for leaks and the only leak is from the bottom of the nut fitting where the tube goes in and not from the compression nut threads in the gas valve area. Nut fittings threads are snug and tight but the bubbles leak from the fitting bottom and the tube. Is the gas tube provided diameter is a tad smaller than compression nut or is it because the compression nut design is not like the original from the older gas tube that has the compression fitting built into the tube itself.

@@repairclinic Well that was rude of me. Thought you showed videos. Didn't know you did parts. I am sorry. I searched GVR50-300. You don't have anything. Gas water heater. Does it cross over another number? I need a kit for that. Water heater pilot lights but when I release to set temp. Pilot goes out. So it's most likely thermopile but if I am taking things apart. I may as well replace all the small stuff.
the ad is terrible many minutes of this lighter burning stuff... it was cool at first... though dang 2 minutes... now another ad with no end? This is wack I'm 5 minutes into watching ad's.
This video is so thorough! I wish I had found it sooner

Where is the flare fitting for pilot tube to the gas valve?
On these new pilot tubes, the flare fitting is on top of the tube nut. The flare fitting will attach itself to the pilot tube after tightening
I’m about to try this out wish me luck . Things for me are never this never easy
Glad to say it worked
@@joeestrada6946thank you
