A local at the bar kind of side-eyed us and asked, "Who's boy are you?" trying to figure out how we fit in. Back in the day when I was a waitress, my brain was completely ingrained where all the beverage areas were.
When I left for greener pastures I'd go back with family to eat. I'd have the entire table served drinks, took the salad/appetizer orders, be hunting in the dry storage for those flipping club crackers that everyone wanted before I remembered I didn't work there anymore.
It's been over two decades and anytime someone says they want something at a restaurant, I automatically get up.
🤣🤣🤣
my favorite thing about the midwest is the super casual kindness and comfort we have with each other. like the paper towels thing in a bar, a customer saying they could help out like it’s no big deal iS SO M I D W E S T E R N
I used to take the trash out at a spot in a neighborhood bar in Cleveland. It’s just how it goes.
I was practically raised in a veterans bar due to being raised by my grandpa and this is 110% correct
Yes!!!
This should be a tourism ad for my hometown! This is how life was meant to be, wish everyone could have this life, but most folk have no clue what they’re missing!
I don't know, I get the sense that these guys seem content on the outside, but deep down, feel like they are trapped and their lives are hollow.
The unwrapped jerky out of the coat is spot on
I have been bartending for over a decade in the midwest and every bit of this is true.
But there was no roll a day !! Only thing they missed
Is it a very pleasant job with this kind of vibe?
This makes me want to explore small town America even more. I've only visited a tiny portion of Colorado, but I want to go back to the states some day for a road trip for sure.
Come up north in Wisco dude. It’s so goddamn relaxing
Lol Colorado isn't Midwestern anymore stick to Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri for the full experience.
@@rc59191 That's the great plains, not the midwest.
@@BackseatStudios the great plains are part of the Midwest ask any geography teacher.
@@rc59191 they may be considered that, but as a trucker, they're completely different areas.
The "bar dog" gets me everytime.
Plot twist: Baxter isn't a dog he's just a country boy with a kink
Still a good boi either way

Watched Comedy Central about a week ago and learned what "Puppy Play" was....and hot damn did I learn that the world is worse than I thought....not because of war, poverty, or famine....but because there is such a thing as "Puppy Play"
DIDNT SEE THAT COMING AHA
I’m from Florida. I spent 30 years in bars like that . That video is 100% spot on . Thanks
I’ve lived in Fargo, ND my whole life. Yes. We talk like this. We say “ope” at least 50 times a day.
Christian Hustad haha I’m southern Manitoba, so close to you and it’s so different 🤣🤣👍
We say “eh” or “huh” at that same rate
I'm from Croatia and I say op (which is basically similiar to ope in its context, but we have op and opa) same amount of times a day :D
What is Ope?
@@swetavyas As far as I know, since similiar saying is used here, it's everything depending of how you say it :D
I’m from the south, and this shows how “Country is Country wide!”
Grew up in a town of 800 on the west coast and lived in the south. It is country wide when you get away from the garbage cities.
@Lex Bright Ravenyeah, you city people are doing such wonderful things.
@Lex Bright Raven lol what. As if country people arent some of the most trustworthy people on earth.
@Lex Bright Raven cities smell like shit and the people are rude.
@Lex Bright Raven yeah I'm sure you couldn't get along with hard working people that aren't interested in your ignorance. I'm more than happy knowing people like you will never live near me.
I was basically raised in a bar by my parents in Colorado, and *man* this is accurate. Even with them talking (via yelling) at the guy a couple tables away. Only thing thats missing is when there are a lot of regulars and another regular walks in, big shouts of "HEY! THERE THEY ARE!" and what not
Only thing missing is them playing the same 15-20 soft rock songs from the late 70s-mid 80s on the jukebox every single day.
This transcends boarders, Saskatchewan, and Alberta like this to a T, just more swears n darts eh boys
Fuck yeah bud. Thats how we do er
Fuck Canada.
Ohh we play darts guy!
@@duncanmcdougall9787 She's in prison, for shooting a Canadian. And atleast our milk doesn't come in bags you freaks.

My grandmother owned a bar in a small town in Illinois, this is so fucking accurate it's not even funny. This brings back a lot of memories. Love this channel. The monthly bar tab is fucking true as shit.
Cop: So your alibi is you were at the bar between the times of 1:00pm and 3:00pm is that correct?
Midwesterner: Uhh yea was just goin through a couple beers yah kno?
Cop: *Nods to the other cop* Bring her in
Midwesterner's Wife: *Walks in* I KNEW it! Suckin up lites with the boys instead a' prayin to your lord and savior weren't 'cha?
Ya Betcha, yaaaa
GOLD 🙌🏽
Can confirm, lived in the Midwest for 5 years. Although when someone asks if you have a nipple on your beer, you must drink your beer until you have less than the other guy. Then call him out for slacking. Also you can get blackout of drunk and forget to pay the tab, but bartenders don't sweat because they'll know you'll be back soon. 😉
Can confirm this is the same in my local small town pub in the Netherlands.
I love the 2.50 cents for a 12 inch pizza and the guy double takes on the price hahaha. Very well done.
This should be required material for anyone visiting any small bar in Wisconsin.
100%
It's the same in small towns in Oklahoma.
Dont forget Duck Pin Bowling. Then you leave the pin setters a big tip cause you got drunk and were basically throwing clay balls at them the last 2 hours.
I'm an Aussie and I found this to be pure gold. It's much like how it is in OZ out in the bush.
The new guy was a great addition!
This is so accurate I can barely notice the punchlines. They put WORK into this and damn did they get it right
AMAZING....Brings back memories...I miss those days...Thank you for making me cry....
"300 dollars is nothing compared to last month" 😂😂
Ahh yes, "your beer is basically water not like this Busch light"
This is really good. Thanks for posting.... (I'm a Californian who lived in the upper midwest for a few years. You guys nailed it.)
Paul Ryan in the back sipping on a beer?
It’s weird how this is still accurate in a small farming town in the UK! Haa 🏴 🇬🇧
I'm from rural Nebraska and this is 100% spot on.
I really want to have a few beers with these guys for real.
Years ago went camping near a small tourist town in SW MN, we skipped the tourist bar and went to the town bar for drinks. A local at the bar kind of side-eyed us and asked, "Who's boy are you?" trying to figure out how we fit in. The answer was that we were camping on farm land and the farmer was a friend of the local brother in law. That opened everything up for us, instant friends to everyone in the bar.
I used to go camping in the Upper Peninsula a lot and we’d go to a small town bar to enjoy a cheeseburger and beers after days of beans and dehydrated meals. This is so accurate! I miss the Midwest sometimes!
When you’re able to go behind the bar and get yourself a drink, you know you’ve made it
New England bartender here, and this is so accurate 😂 ❤
It's SO True. Everyone is a member of the "family". It's GREAT!
I like these guys. Coming from Minnesota, I can relate.
I'm from rural MN and all of your videos are so fucking good dude. I've seen all of your characters but like in real life.
🤣😂Love being from a small town 💕❤️. This is spot-on!! 🇺🇲
As a bartender in a small town bar, this is incredibly accurate
So relatable going behind the bar and getting your own 🍻 🤣
Voyager Lounge, Anchorage Alaska. I up and drove way, way Nort and hit town with nothing in the late 90s. Spent a year in Anchorage and that bar kept me warm, fed, entertained, and I met the best people of my life. The bar is long gone now, but I still have the warmest, best memories of my youth. Nothing beats a local bar where they take you in and adopt you as one of their own.
Charlie nails it again!
Having a mother who owns a small town bar - this is weirdly accurate.
