It`s flat as a pancake The coastal towns of California north look more like Italy ... ...Artist, Old Naples Florida🌴🎨

@TheTravelCentric the beauty of Capri, the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, how quiet it was at the top of Vesuvius, pompeii, to see the grooves in the streets where the chariot wheels had been. the precarious nature of the buildings clinging to the hillsides along the amalfi drive.

Capri is a beautiful dream, I grew up there in the early 50's and my daily commute to school up in the Piazzetta from Marina Piccola was Krupps walk. I learned to tell time on the big clock there and the black market currency trader who operated out of a basket shop, keeping all the different currencies up in baskets by the ceiling is now a bank. I have dear family members buried there.

The beauty of Sorrento, the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, the quiet of Vesuvius, Pompeii blew me away. The Amalfi drive, danger of the road and the little houses built on top of one another, love to back one day.

Capri worth a visit, best in May/June (September/October also), prices are low (not in absolute terms, low compared to high season), is not an island for every budget (sure, it always depends on what holiday you choose to have).
A tip: if you are a group of friends it's not bad but there are better places, if you instead are with your wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend etc, I honestly don't know how many places are better than Capri (because it's really wonderful).
