- Hi! I am a former KL-YES high school exchange student to the US. I stayed with my American host family over the summer and decided to show you the home of an American host family (they typically host students from AFS which include both YES and FLEX students).
The Kennedy Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program or KL-YES Program is a fully funded scholarship by the U.S. State Department that allows high school students from different countries to study at an American high school and live with an American host family for 10 months. It is a great experience that allows you to learn about different perspectives, interact with different cultures and represent your own.

you will complete 1st year (11th grade there) and depending on your country's education system you may or may not have to repeat the same year back home

I have been selected in the KL-YES Program as an Exchange Student (2022-2023)
i want to ask some questions regarding the program
1. What about CBSE Boards during the program?
2. Will I have to face problems in future if I don't attempt Board Exams?
2. Do I need to drop out of my school in order to get into the program?
3. What are all the necessary documents do I need to submit with the main application?
