First test is usually common knowledge grammar, second test (from my experience) has listening, reading, grammar, and writing on an intermediate level. After that you have interviews, on that stage you’ll be interviewed by a council and will include group interviews and solo interviews. In the last stage is where you’ll be evaluated for the scholarship or not.

How many are on average actually selected for the first round of this program? I have seen the list of selected participants and I feel they eliminates none in the first round.
They eliminate people based on preliminary grades etc

actually I Samavia applied for the application and Alhamdullilah got shortlisted, then I was emailed for an online interview, it was quite easy TBH, I got shortlisted as well, now I'm to appear on 17 nov in Islamabad for the group activities and interview, and yeah I'm from pakistan and I applied for 2021-2022 session. Hopefully I can further succeed further in this program.
And yeah there was no entry test in my case IDK why though....

Do I need to take a drop year to attend the YES programme,I.e, if I apply for this program after my 10th boards, do I need to again repeat my 11th grade in india or can I directly get admission to the 12th grade after I return??
YES, the program can't assure you that. This is your inner country problem.
