Great explanation. I use it a lot for preparing images for laser engraving on and in glass. There I need it to enhance black and white images. Pure black gets transparent and pure white makes the glass break because the laser points get too close to each other. It's a wonderful job, each image is a new challenge. I'm doing this since over 10 years now but with your tutorials I learn new tricks every time. The black and white 101 video is amazing for me. Thank you for this amazing videos!! You are amazing

Thanks Senjos! That is a really interesting situation with the glass...I didn't know black and white was used for that process!

@@TechnicallyTrent Black and white is for fotos and vectors with gradient. Simple filled vectors I decide the point distance in mm. Oh this is cool job.

As always - excellent! Question 1: Can one reduce the number of edit points on an object by 'simplifying' rather than deleting each point? Question 2: When doing a contour of an object, can one release the object into 'groups' and select which to delete/keep? I tend to delete the edit points, which is laborious. Thanks,

      HI CremeCut!
1: It sounds like you are looking for a "simplify path" option which exists in some other vector programs. Unfortunately, I do not think Affinity Designer has this feature right now. It has been requested a lot in the Affinity forums, but doesn't seem to be on the roadmap. One option is to do that step in InkScape, which I believe has a function like that.
2: I don't quite understand this question. Can you explain more what you're trying to do?
