It really is worth the hype the writing is superb. It genuinely makes you feel like you are part of the community. The characters interactions are varied and they react to each town achievement you do. The way you get to places that you can jump and swim is also fun.
I'm absolutely loving Fields of Mistria 💕 It deserves all the success it's receiving, and has the potential to become my favorite farming sim of all time! I'm about to get into Fall and can't wait 🍂 I love the screenshots I've seen of it.
So lovely to meet Kay especially as someone who studied classical singing and loves cozy games. I couldn't help but smile when you spoke about how you felt about Stardew and how it compared to Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town because that was my first farming sim as well. I feel very excited to play Fields of Mistria because I have similar tastes to you both but I will likely wait until the full game release because of my huge backlog of games lol 😅
Another great episode Josh! It got me to finally grab Fields of Mistria. Also this is my first time seeing KDaisy, now I'm having a great time watching their Animal Crossing scavenger hunts 😊
I agree with the smaller cast of characters. It gives a small village vibe which i love! Also i played for a good hour before i realized you could jump 😂 game changer
Yeah, I have not made a lot of those yet! It seems expensive for now, but I think that later in game, once you've built all of the important things, you'll most likely end up with more stone & wood than you know what to do with!
I understand it's already good in early access but i just dont like finishing a game and then returning because there's an update because it will not feel the same way as playing for the first time. I prefer to experience the full version
@@nailsyo1585 there is one, but it's his brother who calls you (without spoiling anything). hope you didn't miss it. also... i feel he did soften up, like not completely and that's normal. but like instead of just just saying he's busy, he asks how you are and his facial expressions are nicer in general
You had me up until "It's important to be represented in a game". Why is it? So sick of that mentality. I didn't need to be represented in GTA San Andreas. Or Witcher 3 to enjoy them. Really wish people would shut up with all the skin colour nonsense and just enjoy the characters the dev feels they want to create. Such a weak way of viewing the world
then play those games you've mentioned or use the default character? 🤷♂ we're talking about cozy and farming games here. I don't know why you're pressed about skin color. You have a choice not to play these games if it bothers you.
Well that’s good for you! And also those are different genres! Also it’s so amazing to be able to create someone that looks like you! So many people use video games to escape this harsh reality! Playing games as ourselves can be hopeful and something to look forward to. Just because YOU don’t see the comfort in it doesn’t mean it’s not important. Because you are not the majority.
@@libs5896 Thank you :) If you play as the hero in a game you don't except to be able to customize, that's another experience altogether. The ability to play as a feminine character in Harvest Moon was also super revolutionary and made people all over the world feel like they could be the hero too, even if they were feminine. Unless you have experience being the "only one in the room" of whatever marginalized group society identifies you as, this may mean NOTHING to you and that's fine. No one can care about everything. HOWEVER, there was a wonderful young lady who saw there was a hijab option in this game and it made her feel so happy and included and it was a wonderful surprise. Open your eyes. The world is horrible, racist, sexist and judgemental, we'll take our wins where we can get them.

I was just recommended your channel out of no where, but I'm excited to have discovered it!

Hi Kay! Hi Josh!
my main gripe is how much materials it costs to make fencing and paths. Yet I am still ADDICTED to the Game so. . . 9/10 game!

I'd love to try Wild Indigo Ranch in full release! 🤠 Cool Mistria green shirt btw!
It's the same shirt that I used for the Daryl cosplay. 👨🔬 He's also a big fan of the Mistria green.
@@GamingGardenPodcast Please, bring back Daryl hahaha!
Too bad I can't watch today cuz I have classes! No problem, I can catch up later! Have a good episode, everyone🎉🎉🎉

I’m playing on an Ayaneo handheld console that’s modded to run steam OS and it works great, only one crash ever thus far!

I wanted to go for March but he’s such a jerk even at 4 hearts.. I mean SOMETIMES he’s nice 😭😭
Oh noo, I was hoping his next heart event would be him softening up 😭
@@cutespooky to be honest I don’t even think there’s a 4 heart event (unless I missed it or my game is bugged)
