I love this episode. It's like a nice conversation between friends. Very cozy and relaxing. 💞
It was incredibly sweet that you supported her at the beginning and that it became a friendship and that she thanked you so kindly for it. 🌺

I'm in the same shoes with Miss Bubbles: I love love love Coral Island game! I got so obsessed with it, that I got greedy and wanted more of it, thus decided to wait to continue playing after full 1.3 update 💐💐❤️❤️

One of my favorite parts of playing cozy games is starting them over again and again, I rarely finish games lol😂

This is my thing too!! When looking at new cozy games, I always gotta ask: does it have replayability? 😂

I got a Steam Deck in early July and have been playing Coral Island for the first time ever since 😊 It's one of my favourite games of all time now for sure! I am 73 hours in I think, and I am town rank C (about halfway to reaching B). The ocean cleaning helped the most for sure. There was also a bug after the update (patched on PC now but not consoles) where tons of fossils were spawning underwater at the deeper depths so you could find like 80 in a few minutes. It helped fill out that part of the museum haha!

Why did no one tell me about that bug hahaha 😭

Im almost 90 hours in Coral Island (Fall, 1st year) and I'm almost rank C. If this can help you, you can check the activity log in your journal to see how many merit points each thing you do gives you (ex. completing an errand in town or for the b.o.s. = 20 merit points, making 8 offerings at the goddess = 45 pts, restoring 1 coral site = 10 pts, etc.). Also, personally I love that there are so many characters (to date mostly haha) in the game. They are not that hard to befriend compared to other farming games (even if you don't gift them or don't talk to them everyday, just talking to them and participating in the town events raises their friendship). At some point, it's quite fast to go see many people in one day. Just teleport, dash and put your time in the settings at 50% (so you have more time in your day for socializing) And now there's the hang out mechanic too. And I love that they are so different one from another et have their own unique dialogues with much personality. By the way, Axel is an extra character (that you can't befriend with hearts), member of the B.O.S. gang for the mines, and Macy is a photographer you can't date. I didn't love a farming game so much since I don't know when. If you like story driven games and rpgs, you'll love Coral Island because there are a lot of cutscenes and story between the different characters. PS : I didn't know Miss Bubbles. Great discovery, because we have a lot of similar tastes in gaming.

I'll add that I'm glad I waited for the big update. I'll do the same for Fields of Mistria.

Loll creating unrealistic challenges is so relatable. I bought Coral Island at the 1.0 release thinking it was a complete game. I was purposefully waiting for it to leave EA, so that felt bad. It is nice to know that the content takes a while to get to anyway. I'll have to revisit it! Fantasy Life and Metaphor release on the same day 😩I'm going with Metaphor first, but I look forward to watching your content on Fantasy Life 💕I LOVED the one on the 3DS.

I had that idea for a farm sim type game in the body too, a week or more ago. Specifically focused on immunity. I have the background too. Studied biomedical sciences and engineering so I have the basic knowledge to know this is insanely hard to pull off well. There's a lot of chemistry involved and coding is hard. I'd definitely not be able to code it with my current skills and knowledge of coding. I could world-build and research though.
Also you might enjoy Symbio. It's not out yet, but you play as a growing micro-organism. The demo ended with you parasitising a bigger organism (still unicellular). Which is definitely a way I can see multicellular organisms would've formed in the past. The dynamic turning into a symbiosis (hence the name of the game). It was relatively relaxing to play and looked gorgeous.

The idea of an RPG inside someone's body has been explored a bit. Check Mario Rpg Bowser's inside story. You are literally inside Bowser most of the time and interact with his organs and stuff. Very fun game!

Oh, I've not played that one! There is also Jabu-Jabu in Ocarina of Time, even though it's just one dungeon. Still an underutilized theme though!
