I sometimes wonder about myself, too! You’re a hoot! Can you please tell me how long you cooked the fruit before putting it in the jar? And thank you very much for showing the difference between the air leaving the jars and a full boil.
Oh my!, Jmarylastone I had subscribed to your channel during a Paul Nison friday fellowshipping & had never watched your videos until today when you posted your knitting needle video. You are a blessing! Abba Bless you, I so like listening & watching you describe what you're doing! Thank you so much jmarylastone! I will be watching more! I am in Joplin, Mo. (since may 20th) helping care for my younger sis who has over 20 brain tumors
SHALOM SHALOM - very nice of you to take a look at my videos - I will see you tonight yes?? - oh my your dear sister - I will put her on my prayer list and please bring up the need for prayer tonight in the chat - Yah's will we sometimes don't understand but the prayers are going to bring mercy and strength for your sister and your family ... in Yeshua's name
@@jmarylastone Thank you so much, dear sister. I will not be in the chat room there, I will be watching after my sister, Linda is her name,I thank you for your prayers & Word Of Truth, I trust Elohim in everything always, He Is True.I thank Him for you, In Yeshuas Authority & Name I pray, praise & thank Him always.
I used these for smoothies for my husband - but you can use them any way you use fruit - ice cream sauce - cakes - dumplings - cobbler - or even just eating a bowl full for a snack or dessert - any way you want lol - thanks for your comment
This is amazing ! Would you believe that I have about 100 lbs of those same Persimmons to start dealing with TODAY!!!! ? I have already dehydrated lots of them. You just peel them, slice & dehydrate. They have a beautiful star shaped design in the center & are like persimmon chips ! BUT I have a couple questions for you . 1) The ones you had look like mine (they have to be picked before they are totally ripe, which means they will turn your moth inside out - right ?) So when you cook them do they lose that astringency or bitterness ? When I dehydrated mine, almost all of them were totally sweet afterwards. 2) How do you use the puree - like you would pumpkin, etc. ??? I heard another TH-camr said she made a fruit roll up by combining persimmon & pineapple. We had 2 of those Japanese Persimmon trees. One of them died this year, But man oh man the other is loaded. I mean to the point of having to prop all the lower limbs up to keep them from breaking !!! Thank you so much for this video. PLEASE if you have time can you get back to me ?
the persimmons I had were picked just before they were ripe but they may/could have been left on the tree longer - I knew they were ripe (they were still firm) because I tasted them and they were "like an apple" not puckering but still not sugary sweet - I use the puree for where I would/could use fruit .... over ice cream, in a smoothie, just eating like apple sauce and even just using a jumbo straw and drinking it - (by the way you can not safely home can pumpkin puree - it has to be chunked pumpkin and pressure canned, hence why many don't can it) - last but not least YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOUR OWN TREE lol - my neighbor was so kind to give these persimmons to several of us and I was thrilled - I offered to pay him and he would not accept the money - is there a way you could sell yours at a farmers market?? - thank you for watching and thank you for commenting
Thank you, for your quick reply ! I thought perhaps you used it to make persimmon bread, pie ( like canned pumpkin is used). A couple years ago, I used the real ripe ones to make 'Bourbon Persimmon Bread' ! Oh my. I just wasn't sure if these under ripe ones would sweeten some when cooked , like they do when dehydrated. I think my husband should have waited a while before picking the ones he already picked. But the longer we leave them on, the more the bugs get at them - not to mention the darn deer ! Thank you sooo much , you & Ernie have a blessed day !
what you just said almost make me laugh!!! when I was searching for how to check for ripeness on persimmons I ran across a recipe for PERSIMMON BREAD and I had never heard of that before - when I did the first chopping in my food processor I stashed away a couple of cups of it in my freezer just to make the bread so you can watch out for a video on PERSIMMON BREAD in the near future!!!
Check out KatzKradle & see if her instructions are the same as your recipe, or is that the one you used ? I haven't had any issues with mine.(yet) Sometimes, just one little thing (for me) can makes all the difference.
I don't remember which recipe I used but I made monkey butter several times before and had no problem - but......in doing my research on that batch failure I could not find where water bath canning bananas is safe so I don't do monkey butter any more
Omgsh your so cutee!! You have me laughing out loud with ya :) you got it!! Looks great! I love persimmons!! So is that like persimon sauce, instead of applesauce?
Thank you. I have a ton of persimmons and no freezer space. So now I will be canning them.
I love you so much already ❤️🌸🌺 you are so adorable. Great video, the only one I could find by the way. Bless your precious heart 🌻
thank you for the nice comment! - got to admit those persimmons were always the first thing we ran out of - I just love them

Your persimmons weren't ripe enough that's where your density issue came from
