I just bought a pressure canner and I read through the instruction book and it was talking about 1000 feet altitude and mine is only like 240 feet so I was doing it wrong! I only have to add time if my altitude is above that, I was thinking that was the cook time. As you can tell, I need to read that booklet some more. Tomorrow is my first try, wish me luck!
