Watched Kendall today… he does a great job showing us a quick simple video with some great hints and how toos 😊 I’m glad I finally checked out his video 😅
There were 5 children in our family. My Mom worked 6pm to midnight as a telephone operator, so my Dad put us to bed. We were very regimented. He would say line up for a cookie, line up to brush your teeth and go to the bathroom, line up for water, and then line up for a kiss and he would sit in his lounge chair and we would get in line and kiss the top of his bald head then get in bed. It worked good to have a routine and I still kiss the top of his head. He is almost 95! Best Dad ever in my opinion.
My bedtime routine always involves reading. My parents read to me, I read to my younger siblings, I read to my children when they were younger, and I always read a few pages for me before bed. I can’t imagine a better way to end your day.
This was so great! Pat, I loved everything in the video. Such great items! I talked with my children each night as they went to bed. A little talk for just us. Then we would pray. Those were the best years. Thank you Pat. What a wonderful online friend you have become to all of us.
Hi Pat! I love seeing all the other folks' blocks! So fun! Also, love, love the Bountiful blocks. I think the basket one would make a great wall hanging by itself 😊😊
I love that French general fabric. That is going to make a beautiful quilt. Can’t wait to see it. I am currently converting my guestroom to a sewing room. Thank you for sharing.
Bedtime routine: my granddaughter and her three little ones are living with me for short time. The five year old twin girls read before lights out and fall asleep quickly. Their three year old brother gets story read to him and as soon as we leave his room he takes all blankets off his bed and arranges them on floor with his pillow and falls asleep there in about fifteen minutes. We wait an hour and pick him up and tuck him into his bed properly! He does this every night. Hard floor?? Soft bed?? It's a mystery to us! Love your shows Pat. Blessings
Great time in the Sloan Zone! Love the projects you shared/showed today, wish I could do all of them but that is just not possible. Pat Sloan, hopefully I'll see you on line tomorrow!! O, the rosebud block, used in childhood memories, was a favorite of mom's.
Our younger daughter hated bedtime too..she would put her blankie over her head and walk into the living room, thinking we couldn't see her! For weeks!
I'm really liking Pat's display stand for showing quilts Does anyone have any idea of similar free standing display units like this that you can move around and dismantle when you need the space for other things?
@@PatSloan thank you very much for responding. sadly I am in the UK so will have to see if Amazon UK has something similar. The shipping costs are so high now that I have to think carefully before buying anywhere other than the UK. Sadly that cancels out any commission to yourself for any purchase.
you can buy a pull-out tray for your keyboard at Office Depot or someplace similar and attach it to your current desk. it just screws on. we use them at our office, we own a computer repair shop
i know but I dont' want the current desk. it Does have a built in tray. It works perfectly, it is just the wrong color. Another desk, this size, is not coming to surface. it is a VERY SMALL desk
I have a small white desk with a keyboard pull out . I got it from Amazon . It’s smaller almost to small since I use my PC to game my keyboard is almost to big for the slide out
I’m glad to see that you’re doing the Make-a-Wish quilt in another color way. I’m not thrilled with FQS’s color scheme: idk how popular it would be as I would be donating mine to a silent auction at my church next year. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out. Will it be a SAL on your TH-cam channel?
Yes! It's listed in the description box of every single video here it is again ::Blue Quilt behind me is Home Is patterns at www.ilovetomakequilts.com/home-is-quilt-along.html

Same here! It seems I relax best after I've read a few pages!

Sew nice to see you room transform into what it is now. You deserve a sewing space that you love. You made my day great video thank you and Be Well ❤️
The Bountiful Quilt is BEAUTIFUL!! I wish I had time to make this 😕 I will probably make the cross-stitch… more manageable.

that is so funny!
I have visions for my eventual sewing space, but first my kids need to fly from the nest.
That will happen soon enough! Hug and enjoy and teach them while you can.
@@carolp1581 They are grown and moving on soon. Thanks!
Good morning from Brookings OR. Would love to do this block and make a quilt of it….

When you donate the quilt tops, does the charity ever auction them off as a fund raiser?
some have. there are some you can buy right now at www.webfabrics.net/iishop?form_version=2&search_keyword=sloan&image=Search the funds go to a local charity

What makes a fabric “French General?”
