❤welcome back Kate. I’m so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. If words could comfort you, I would send you a thousand mingled with as many hugs. Time will help you get used to his being gone, but you will always miss him. My dad died in 1988 and I still miss him so much.
so well said. that I can add nothing. except to echo with much love.
Well said, Charlotte. You have such a beautiful way of expressing your thoughts, and I thank you for saying what I believe we are all feeling for Kate. Warm wishes and hugs to you, as well!
I really appreciate you and what you do. You are so gifted. I learn a lot and my interests are ignited. Thank you.
So well said Charlotte. Thank you for helping me put it into words, through you.
🤗❤
Yes, I’m sorry for your Dad’s passing time and I didn’t realized that this happened so recent- My comfort and condolences are for you and hope you feel better in time. - i watch you daily and caught up with you and do and feel so similar these days- My father died 8 yrs ago but it feels like yesterday- Anyway, I wish you comfort and calm and continue with you. .
Great colors in your granddaughter’s quilt! Nice reflecting of past year. I am sorry about the loss of your father. Both of my parents are also gone. I miss being able to talk with them in person. They are still with me. Have a joyful, peaceful 2023. ⭐️⭐️🌲🌲🌲
I only slept two hours and was up again, lots of aches and pains and my mind was busy. I sat and crocheted and watched your video and all is right with the world again. Your Father must have been very proud of you as you are such a wonderful person. You help others in ways that you don't even know.
Hello Kate and everyone else who stops by I am a late comer to your channel Kate but I am so happy to have found you. I have been watching a lot of your older videos and have enjoyed them immensely. So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. If you get a moment Kate could you talk about the Liberty fabrics that you used quite often? I have been scrolling through the internet looking them up and would like to hear you weigh in on the pros and cons of the fabric line. Thanks Kate, have a beautifully creative 2023. Hugs from Nova Scotia Canada.
@@susanpeterson8433 Great request. I'm new this channel as well and feel odd asking for something so soon. Thank you, from California.
I do want to say also that the one quilt u had done of ur mums, by removing part of the front to put on the back is really so clever.❤ LiLLy thanks 4 sharing.
Most probably very beautiful, as well.

Dear Kate, now I want to say big-big thank you for all your kind hours in your Last Homely House. I'm a 88 y.o. woman with a nice family in Hungary , a holocaust survivor. The EPP gave me a very good and peaceful activity. Thank you very much! Happy New Year for the Last Homely House and for you, Dear Kate 2024! Marianne
So happy to see you back, but so sorry about the news of your father's passing. It's tough, I know. Wishing you the best always and thank you for your being my "TH-cam Friend"! 😉🥰
Happy New Kate to you and yours. I am so sorry your father has passed over. I lost my husband in December. No matter the circumstances we are never ready to say goodbye.
I enjoy your shows so very much. I’m so sorry that your Dad passed, thinking and praying for you and your family. I LOVED going to the quilt show with you.
Thank you for being who you are and sharing your heart with all of us.
Condolences Kate and family. I will now imagine your dad joining us on the lime green sofa,( with your mum) with a cup of tea and thoroughly enjoying the chatter and laughter. No doubt he will be proudly watching how his daughter inspires so many of us around the world to learn creative ideas and with such love ❤
KATE, I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I SAW YOU WERE ON. I have missed you so much,! Have to tell you abt one of my Christmas from my daughter Mary Lou. Christmas Day she told me that I would never guess what the present is. Guess what it was the stuff you put in the Christmas boxes I was so excited. The boxes were already sold out so she managed to get the articles piece by piece. Couldn’t get candles. I absolutely loved each thing in my box. Love you.🥰. Anna is precious and John is fantastic
My arms embrace you 8n your loss….I too lost my dad going on 3 years ago now😢♥️♥️♥️
Kate, so sorry for the loss of your Dad. Keep your memories close at heart to cheer your soul. On a completely different topic, could Anna share her violin by playing on one of your youtube videos? I would dearly love to hear her play. Thank you for your TH-cam presentations. You put me in mind of my Scottish Nana who would draw us in to her hand work projects when we came for a visit. Sewing, knitting, ceramic work, making medicinal poultices, jams, jellies, shortbread, currant cake, etc. You, Kate, invoke memories of her and have provided company for me since my husband passed in 2020. Thank you for sharing your hands and heart.
Oh, Kate. I just found out your dad passed away. I'm so sorry to hear this news. I pray you receive comfort from above. My prayers go out to you and your family. 🤍🕊

I hope that you and your family have a very happy 2023 and I hope the lime green sofa carries on to stretch around the world several times. Hello from Tasmania - it’s New Year’s Day now and it’s going to be 30°C today - happy new year everyone ❤
Watching and listening always brings me peace. So sorry for your loss; bless you and your family with comfort and fond memories.
I tend to quilt like you... I call it "flying by the seat of my pants". Make my plan as i go, letting the quilt tell me what it wants me to do. I always tell my quilting group that i run to listen to the quilt and follow it's plan. Dont make the complete plan when you start. Adjust as you go. Works everytime
Thank you Kate for your advice about getting out of your head and into your hands when you have a problem. I needed to hear that right now. Instead of spending the evening worrying, I am going to spend it knitting. Thank you again.
I’m sorry about your dad!!!! Sending prayers and hugs your way!❤🥰🙏
You are looking well. I know how much you must miss your dad. I also miss dad and mom. They passed years ago now. It's great to see you back on. I have gone back to some of your readings and enjoyed them. Sending lots of love and hugs from my house to yours.
Agnes's quilt is turning out to be so beautiful 😍 the colors and fabrics are gorgeous 💚💙🩵💜
My deepest sympathy in regards to your dads passing. I pray you and your loved ones have a Prospero Año Nuevo en 2023. ❤️💐🎉. Diana Romero
Fun to see the New Year and I and others are looking forward with more ideas for all us! - Best for all quilting and new ideas for fun time on the Lime Green Sofa; fun with you, Kate! onwards and upwards💕🎻🌴😇! HAPPY NEW YEAR-2023!😊
For your border you could do a grid the same size as what you are doing but stitch it on point so you have diamonds instead of squares. That would create a lovely frame.
Sorry, about the loss of your Dad. Hope you are doing okay. Am glad your back.
Sorry about your Dad Kate. Thank you for a fabulous year. I ordered a couple of Rachels spoons and got blackthorn. Sooo beautiful. Thank you for introducing her to us!
Hello Kate, I’m in the Pacific Northwest out on the Olympic Peninsula of WA. USA. and so thrilled to have found you on TH-cam. Just joyed by your videos, color choices and projects. Been watching since a month ago. Just got inspired to get back into sewing crafts thanks to a quilting neighbor who shares her quilting room with two other neighbors and me weekly for two hours. Get out of your head and into your hands is so true. Im not a quilter, but through our weekly gathering Im learning and watching patterns and technique. Then, watching and listening to you, Im thrilled and delighted to have sewing and creating back in my life! Learned to stitch by hand from my mom when I was about 8 years old. Pleasant memories. Best of a New Year to you and your corner of the world!
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad; sending you hugs and prayers.
My heart breaks for you and the loss of your father. You ae so loved.

Kate, my condolences on the loss of your father. When you spoke of him when he was young and older, you painted an image I thought was wonderful. I enjoyed the raspberry jam making as you mentioned your father and mother were very thrifty. Your memories of your father will bring you comfort. 2023 around the corner. We at the green sofa love you. Thank you, Kate, for the wonderful videos. 5 years!
I enjoyed last yr, and can't imagine sharing the evening with anyone more engaging, and I will also be working on a quilt. I had a supper of bangers and mash with chocolate cake and a cup of tea to begin the evening. Now to see if I can stay awake until midnight!
So sorry to hear the sad news of your Dad's passing thoughts and prayers are with you.
I know this is over a year later, after this video was first posted, but just wanted to send condolences about your Dad. What a fantastic age he got to and I hope by now your memories of him aren’t swathed in sadness as they would’ve been when he passed.

Happy New Year, my condolences to you and all the family. Looking forward to spending another year with you and all people around world. Hoping for peace ,love, and good health in 2023 for all .❤
So glad that I found you recently! This past year has been one from hell. January my Mother was airlifted two hours away with a laundry list of ailments and spent three months there in three different hospitals and my Dad who just turned 90 was airlifted twice with heart attacks. Both survived and we have had the blessing of getting to know each other in a whole different way. I haven’t quilted in about ten years and all my fabric is in storage. I recently bought white and yellow for a two tone quilt just to get started back. The odd thing is that I nearly bought a lime green chair for a comfy place to quilt several years ago! It went with nothing I have and wisely decided against it. I may make cushions for the wooden chairs I already have. I feel very much at home here. Sorry so chatty! Blessings to you Kate with your loss.
Kate, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad passing away. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Really sorry for your loss and know it takes time to readjust. Your words about stitching are so true - it can help this process I’ve found but glad your back with your reassuring presence and creativity and wisdom.
Hello from Across the Pond (Pennsylvania)! I discovered you today and I want you to adopt me! Lol. You are an inspiration and extremely informative. You have the most friendly personal You Tube site I have ever seen! I love that you sew And spin! I haven't spun in a while, I waiting for better weather to fix my treadle. If that fails, I'll be searching for a deal on a used wheel. I'm retired and you have become a bright spot in my day!!!!❤
My deepest sympathies for the loss of your father, Kate! Sending a big virtual hug for you and your family. 💞❤💞
Perfectly said, Laura. I too, send my condolences and lots of hugs.
So good to see you back, Kate. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Looking forward to all the 2023 adventures.
Happy New Year. My condolences on the passing of your dad. I agree that stitching is restorative.
Hi Kate, I am very new to your channel, & I love what you do! I send my condolences to you & your family, on your father’s passing. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🙏🙏 Going forward in 2023, I hope you have room for one more, on your lime green sofa!
Sincerely, Grace , from across the pond in New York!
You’re so sweet to listen to and hang out with. I’ve just started my first disappearing 4 patch quilt. It has been nice to slip away for a few minutes a day and put together another block.
