My sister played the piano and we LOVED to sit around the piano and sing. One of our favorite songs growing up was: "Yes, We Have No Bananas"!! If I was making this block it would have to have banana fabric!!
I want to you Pat for producing these TH-cam videos daily for us. I love listening to them in my morning commute and enjoy the count down music as prelude. Brightens my day as I head to work. Thank you.
Itsy bitsy spider. Sound of Music, especially My Favorite Things. Then with my daughter came Sesame Street. I led songs in day camp as a teenager, so tons of songs.
The movie Hidden Figures was about Katherine Johnson, and the other black women that played an intregral part in the space program. It’s an excellent movie! Also stars, Kevin, Costner, and Octavia Spencer
I just saw your “why don’t our quilt blocks turn out right” ! This is the first youtube video I have seen from you. Of course, as an 80 yr old beginner I am finding ALL the pitfalls. When you talked about the goodie bags, I was so thrilled and wanted to sign up immediately. Then I noticed the video was from two years ago! So sad! I loved and needed everything in the goodie bag. I am putting on borders on my first baby quilt and your advice came at the perfect moment. Thank you for not removing the older videos because we are still learning from them. ❤. Will you ever be doing goodie bags again?
I had too many favorite childhood songs. My Mom instilled a love of singing, music, etc. We had a record, Cinderella, that I memorized and my siblings loved to listen to me recite it.
Just wanted to thank you for the encouragement to having a wonderful and happy month. Had knee injection and 8 degrees in Idaho so the attitude adjustment was what I needed. Hopefully start to do some sewing tomorrow. Thanks
I just did downloaded every 5 blocks and the layout for Sweet Childhood memories. I'm a little late but I can catch up. I'll show you my blocks when they are done. This is my first quilt along and I think I will love it.
I love your channel! Learning a lot from you. Unfortunately, can’t do much right now. Am waiting for husband to go In surgery for triple bypass so watching you helps me keep sane!
Favorite childhood song? There were so many! "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" was the absolute best song but a fun song has to be "99 bottles on the wall." Childhood memories quilt is coming along famously; love your color choice. Great watching you this morning. See you online tomorrow. Have a great day!
You are my Sunshine!! I sang this to my children, now to grandchildren and great grandchildren!! I added a final line to the song...."You are my tiny little sunshine with big brown eyes!!" Of course if that little has blue eyes I say blue eyes!! They always giggle and say "that's me!". My Mom, Great Great Grandma use to tell story of her Grandpa singing it to her....definitely family tradition. Thanks for the lovely memories Pat. Blessings, Dawn
I treated myself to a full size Oliso iron for Christmas a few years back and loved it. However, it proved to be too heavy for my right wrist (bummer). I sold it to a very excited new quilter. I do have the small travel Oliso which is great, too.
i HAVE BEEN DOING MY QUILTS THESE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS DOING THE "chunkin' Method" and just love it. I am able to machine quilt more effectively, do more projects at the same time, time efficient.
My mom has an old home video of me singing "Old Dan Tucker", and of course any song from the Lion King. Another favorite was the theme to Pokemon and the theme to Gilligan's Island. Other songs I loved to sing were You Are My Sunshine and Edelweiss!
I love the red! I have trouble with color, contrast , tone all of the above but I can usually see it when someone else lays it out and gives me the answer! I think the yellow would look good next to the blue background.
Oh! my dad always sang that one! especially to tease a family friend who had a dachshund. We told him he was being awful. But I still have fond memories of him singing it with a twinkle in his eye.
I don’t recall any of my childhood songs; don’t think I had any particular ones. However, my grandchildren love the songs from the movie (cartoon), Encanto. Mostly “We don’t talk about Bruno”! I’ve watched this movie many times with them when they come to my house. Sometimes they watch it with me, then before I know it, they’re on to somewhere else, and there I am watching it by myself! But by then, I’m into it, and watch it till the end! Watch it, you may love it as much as I do!
Hi Pat, trying to catch up on your you tubes. They are great! I’ve watched quite a few recent Episodes and I keep admiring the blue sampler quilt behind you. What is the name of that quilt. I love everything about it. Thank you for your wonderful show and all that you do! Joan

No favorite song. I tried out for the chorus in an Elementary Christmas play. They made me an angel…no singing. Lol. My oldest son used to say, who sings that. Then he’d say just let them sing it. Ah not my talent for sure.😂
