Interesting Easter Egg which was confirmed by Greg Nicotero was the clearing that Negan was on his knees is the same clearing he killed Abraham and Glen

No he’s not in on it because it is mentioned that Henry is and idealist not a realist so when Daryl told him to wisen up to see the world how it is not how it should be cuz Henry sees a crying teenager being tortured and Daryl sees a girl putting on an act
It's been so many years that there is no innocent people left in that world, Daryl has the right mindset, nobody alive is innocent anymore

Which means no RJ or Judith, or at least it shouldn't, she wouldn't leave them. It's a great show and I'm still enjoying it but I give up after they go because I don't really care enough about anyone left. Only Daryl and Carol and they're not doing much tbh. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them goes next it's a downward spiral once the lead goes. Which is a shame, I'll wait for the films and then finish there I think.

I have to say from the beginning that I never thought that they will have the balls to bring this equality between a strong male and an younger "innocent" female, because in that scenario during the interrogation when Daryl knew that Lydia was lying there's no "too harsh", props to AMC for doing that, you don't see it so often. The scene was so much better than in the comics and Daryl was so imposing and therening. It really gave me the season 2 Randall vibes. But the best part was Daryl listening to Henry and Lydia's conversation after he schooled Henry, planning his next move on gathering new info from Lydia. It really showed his intelligence and how right is Michonne about him. The casting for Lydia is great, the actress did an amazing job.
Daryl just knows how to play Bad Cop well, letting Henry be the Good Cop because he knows the boy is a good, if somewhat still wet-behind-the-ears kid.
The bridge was neat to see . I was there last summer taking photos of it. It's 100 years old and beautiful. Was great to see they used it in the show. It's about an hour away from Senoia Ga

It’s amazing how a new show runner can turn a show around, S9 has been great and loving the introduction of the Whisperers... Eric getting fit?! Looking very good on him and so is Calvin’s shorter hair/beard 😻

I wasn't bothered or confused with Judith being out on her own. The reason? She has a LOT of Carl in her. Carl was a rebellious kid, so it makes sense for her to be like him in that regard. And maybe I'm looking too into this next bit but when she said, "Language! I'm a kid, asshole," and Negan smiled, I felt he did because she reminds him of Carl (as well as them being semi-close now).
There were a lot of callbacks to past seasons. When Negan was on top of the bed as the dogs searched for him, the way the camera was set reminded me of Rick when he was on the RV during season 7 (when Negan tells Rick to fetch him his axe). Then the spot scene where Negan bashed Glen and Abraham's heads in, and so on.
AMAZING episode.
The main difference in guts and skins: the characters we know used guts very sparingly only when they absolutely had to, the whisperers wear skins all day every day no matter what. It’s become a part of who they are.

One good tell for the Whispers would be zombies that are wearing clothes still! ;D at the point many of the walkers clothes (at least tops) are weathered, ripped with many holes, or destroyed entirely over years. Many zombies have their ribs exposed, so at least for those zombie you can be safe when overextending with attacks. That would help to at least distinguish some of the real and fake zombie, watch out for the clothed ones
Also I thought that the store fronts looked like I had seen them before so I pulled out the first issue and the cover looks so much like the store front Negan goes in. Have you also heard that from anyone else yet or I'm I just crazy.

I'm sure you know that a big looking gun like the. 357 mag can also shoot .38 cal , I hope that helps you with believing she can handle the gun it actually makes it easier to handle being a heavy gun with a light load.

Loved you guys' reaction! Good GOD this episode utilized our knowledge of walkers so well; it turned it against us, just like the characters, revealing the Whisperers in the most spine-tingling way I've seen in years. Also loved the cleverness of Daryl being the "bad cop" to position Henry as Lydia's "ally." And lastly, Judith is absolutely living up to her Asskicker name. I just wish she hadn't let Negan go and back so easily; it bugged me too how easily she came and went outside the walls, but hopefully it'll keep playing to her strengths going forward.
Judith is my favorite character in the 'new world' I guess you could call it.

Its not good that she goes out but, it seems all kids in the walking dead like to sneak out. Plus A lot of Alexandrias groups is gone currently so not many people are watching her. She is very smsrt but still a kid and I think the writters want to not forget that although she is a badass she still makes decisions that arent smart because she is young

No, Henry was not in on Daryl's plan. It was confirmed on Talking Dead that it was all Daryl's plan only to manipulate Henry in order to get information out of Lydia. Also, Judith may be a little girl but it shouldn't be hard to believe that she can properly and accurately fire a gun when she was trained by Michonne.

well the death count from the Whisperer war in the comics was 26 (both important and un-important)
slower episode, still love it. It's something with this season that keeps captivating me. The onlt thing is, I didn't like Lydia very much. The combo Judith/Negan is just great.
Also, in the end, when Judith was all alone there… just go by logic. I'd like to think Negan was right around the corner of Alexandria. Judith was there, doing this all of her life. I guess. She was by herself when she found the Magna Group. Granted there where others around in the vascinity.

Especially with all the Eugene scenes lately showing him finally ready to stop waiting trying to go after Rosita, it was never once implied that they hooked up before, they infact went out of their way to make it clear that they haven't. I don't think the Whisperers play nice ( even in the Comics) so I don't think it'll be a normal prisoner exchange... probably will lead to a character death.

My hubby and I just binged Fear TWD over the mid season break. We really enjoyed it and look forward to its return. Why are people freaking out about Negan putting the walker in with the dog???? That dog was going to kill him. Duh. Save yourself or save a dog that is going to eat you.
because people easily forget that Negan is living about 9 years into an undead nightmare where you have to do anything you can to live and not living in current cushy 2019 society. People are thinking of pet dogs when they see the dog on screen and say "aww cute puppy" but would change their mind real quick if they were trapped in a room about to get eaten alive by a wild one like he was.

Yeah, Judith with that gun is ridiculous, and the way she goes out alone and does stupid shit makes her a really hard character to believe for me ... they’re approaching her character in the wrong way in my opinion, if she was 16+ then ok I can look past it to some extent but she’s like 8 years old and looks like she weighs 20 pounds... an aggressive feral cat could kill her, she should under no circumstances be out there alone ... I can try to suspend my disbelief but there comes a point where it’s just ridiculously unrealistic ...

Man, I'm tired of an actor/actresses' exit on the show being confiremd before the season is even out. It happened with Rick and now Michonne. Remember Glenn's death? That was shocking! Imagine if Rick's "death" happened naturally without AMC marketing the hell out of it? Now we know Michonne will either die or exit the show in some way with no suspense whatsoever.
