But man oh man is JDM one hell of an actor.

While I am a massive Game of Thrones fan, and far prefer it over TWD I find it astounding that Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) hasn't been nominated for a Emmy or any awards, he is a incredible actor, arguably the best on any TV show.

There is no way they could have done this in the finale. They needed the whole episode for it. The finale was about the dread and the lost of hope... this was just pure devastation. This was breaking Rick and us down.

This is probably the most emotionally drained I have felt watching this show. I was prepared for one death and I got the prediction right but I wasn't prepared for two. This episode was such a good way to show us the breakdown of Rick. If you look at how he was at the beginning of the S6 finale episode and you saw how overconfident he was to now, he is a very broken man and I am very curious to see where the group goes from here. I absolutely loved the episode, going to miss Glenn and Abraham so much but they went out fighting. Great reaction as always guys :)

No they didn't. They went all walking dead comic version on that shit. The comics are way more hardcore than the show usually, but that Lucille death with Glenn was ripped right off the pages of the comics.

i get wht you are saying but the walking dead is much more impactful because they make the characters to be as realistic as possible. that is not so much the case in game of thrones.

Lone Avenger I feel like it has to be negan. Ramsey is good at commanding people and manipulating people to a point where he can defeat them. Negan is good at this too, but also has a higher ability at one on one combat. That's what ultimately killed Ramsey in the first place.
The only thing I would really change, is to have Abraham get whacked at the end of last season. That way, people aren't furious over the cliffhanger, and go into this premiere having grieved already, and feeling safe. Their hearts are finally put back together, and they even get to see Daryl punch "that arsehole Negan", only to have it torn out again when Glenn meets Lucille. I mean, maybe it wouldn't have been the best way to do it from a marketing aspect (as they had everyone hooked in last night to see who would die), but I think it would have been better for the overall storytelling.
that's the problem, tho. they went at those scenes from a marketing perspective, not a storytelling one. had this been the end of season 6, it would've had the blunt impact it's going for. but they paused the show's red wedding halfway through, and the only thing we're left with is, "well, that was unnecessarily brutal."

I totally disagree with you. One of the best thing about this episode was the tension that was built up throughout it. If we already knew who was dead, the first third of it wouldn't be anywhere as intense as it was. Plus, I'm pretty sure people would get suspicious of another death happening by the end of the episode, because I doubt people would be like "Oh sure, they are just gonna stay there, Negan will talk for a whole hour , they will listen and nothing else will happen". They did it right. Relieved everyone, then surprised everyone.
I never realized until now, but Eric looks like a younger version of Abraham.

Laylow Bizz seriously, I don't scare easily but this episode was another level of horror, storytelling, and suspense.
Greg Rome i can admit that the cliffhanger was worth it. They know how to trap the audience into the storyline.
When Negan cleaned the hatchet with alcohol had me thinking he was going to cut someone with it. The Carl part had me worried because he cleaned the ax.
In that moment I thought he was going to chop Rick's hand off!
I'm just sitting here wondering what film tricks they used in that head bashing scene :O It really looks like they took a full swing to the head

I remember watching this episode for the first time and it never gets easier. I also remember this was the first reaction of yours that I watched because after this episode, I watched a bunch of reactions and yours stuck out as one of the best
Negan definitely has some sort of a God complex. He's a smart enough guy to realize that what he was doing was like God in the Abraham and Isaac story, and probably aimed for that. He wants people to bend the knee whenever they're even in his presence. That's why he killed Abraham. He was the only one staring directly at Negan, and showed no fear the entire way. His muscles even flexed when he was trying to show Negan that he wasn't afraid, and even GOT BACK UP after that hit, just to tell Negan to fuck off. He was a soldier, he was made into that kind of person. Which happens to be the exact opposite of what Negan wants. Judging on how many other communities he might have under control, it might be even bigger of a complex than we realize.
I have a (crazy) theory about Dwight. I'm wondering if he shot Daryl to save his life and repay his debt. Now hear me out, he shot Daryl in the arm (intentionally since we can hear him say "you'll be alright") even though Daryl made no move to attack him, he just started to turn his head around slowly. I was wondering "why did he do that for, they were surrounded, does he hate him that much even though Daryl saved his ass?". It can very well be the reason he shot him but I'm wondering if he wounded Daryl just so that Negan wouldn't pick him to get Lucilled. I think he knew Negan would go for the strongest one physically, for the one who would challenge him, hence why Negan went for Abraham. I don't buy this whole "random kill thing", Negan is too smart for that and he would not have risked killing Rick (who he knows is the leader of the group and needed to be broken). And Dwight shooting Daryl insured he would not be picked, he didn't pose any threat, he could barely stand. Of course Dwight didn't think Daryl would go and punch Negan in the face. But even then I find his reaction regarding this strange, he immediately goes and offers Negan to shoot Daryl right there and then. I see only two reasons for this :
1) I'm actually completely wrong about the debt thing and he really wanted to kill Daryl or simply wanted to get back on the good side of Negan.
2) He did that only to repay his debt to Daryl (to insure him a quick death instead of having Daryl getting his head smashed in).
Anyway, I really have a hard time grasping the logic behind his actions to be honest (especially the unnecessary shooting in the arm followed by "you'll be alright"), only time will tell I guess.
If anyone has a theory, be my guest!

The actress was pregnant in real life I believe.
She had her baby already in real life. Sasha was pregnant in Rick's dream because she and Abe talked about having a baby in the RV and Rick was there at that time (so he over heard them).
You guys missed Sasha was pregnant at the table scene. Remember, Rick was in the RV when Abe asked Sasha if she wanted to have a baby... That's why it ended up in Rick's dream.

@ 17:00 when you guys were talking about getting out of Georgia, do you not remember the last episode of season 6, the season finale? Every road they tried to take was blocked off so they had nowhere to go and that's why they got caught cuz they were slowly being boxed in. If they tried to escape now they'd never make it, if there was a time to leave they should have done it much, much sooner if they wanted to never cross paths with Negan. Although I would agree with you if I had come across a group like that in a zombie apocalypse, I'd get out of Georgia too or whatever state I was in. In fact, I would not be wanting to roam around the wilderness during the zombie apocalypse anyways.

there are actually people complaining that the episode went to dark and gruesome and depressing, seriously, some say that the scene was to depressing (because that clearly wasn't the intent) and its just another reason to complain. So everything before is ok, but but THIS is to much.

As long as you put Gotham into your mind as something of an elseworld re-telling, rather than a direct prequel to Batman, it's quite easy to enjoy. Flawed in places, but no more so than Arrow, and the villains aren't any more over the top than in The Flash.
I want them to watch it simply because of Bruce and Selina, Alfred, The Riddler, and The Philosopher.

Every time I see that dinner scene at the end, I can't help but wonder if it's foreshadowing of people who are going to die. Too many dead people there, yet several important living characters are missing such as Rick and Carl.

There was clear Abraham Isaac "sacrifice symbolism", throughout this episode. Not only was the show's character "Abraham" himself, sacrificed. But Negan in a show of power, demonstrated that he can both take, or spare life at will (elevating himself to God status). By setting Rick and Carl in the biblical Abraham and Isaac roles. Also, just as Abraham must then serve and obey God, Rick must now serve and obey Neegan.

Negan is probably the same type of narcissistic character before. I can see that he was in charge of something but the opportunity of events allowed him to come out so to speak. He must also have had a tragedy that occurred to the point that he can take risks without fear.
