    I have just recently bought a Mazda 3 gs sedan and omg it is amazing. Compared to the cars in its class it is the best and I test drove the corolla, civic, Forte, and even dodge dart. And none come close to the featured or great price! It drives really really well, and 2.0 engine is mind mind blowing. It is fuel efficient but at times when you just need to pass that slow driver or just switch lanes real quick because you are almost going to miss your exit on the highway, it has a button on the bottom of the gas peddle that turns it into sport mode and the pickup is incredible. I tested it and I went from 40 km/h to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Highly recommended this vehicle

      How much hp? I am looking into the mazda 3 thing and I don't really know if getting a newer g120 with gvectoring is better than buying an older g165 one. I want to pay around 15000-17000 euro.

    I love your reviews. No talking and all about the car. I was searching forever to find a good 0-60. I like the 2.0L for the fuel economy but was worried that it may be a slug and all the performance is sacrificed for the fuel but it is not .... Yeah. I am buying one soon, but only the base model. Less weight=more performance and better MPG. Thanks for the video

    Actually, the camera that is being used is really sensitive. I watched the Lexus ES POV drive and that sounded loud too. That is supposed to be dead quiet inside, yet the noise was fairly loud. The best impression a person can get is by getting behind the wheel and finding out for ones self.

    I've driven this iteration of the Mazda 3 as well as ridden in one that was fully loaded (2.5 liter engine and all). This is a fantastic car. It rides well, it's comfortable, and it's fun to drive. I don't get why anybody would choose a Corolla or a Civic over this, but to each their own.

    So nice! Wish I could've been in the passenger seat to experience the ride but the video was also good enough. I'm thinking of getting the Mazda3 but I'm waiting to see if they are going to offer the 2.5L Manual on the top trim.

    This 2.0 motor sounds just a little bit raspier and rev happier compared to the 2.5 manual driven Mazda 6. Is that a correct analysis? This one seems like it might be a little more fun to drive if you don't need the room of the 6 or "middle management" appearance.

      Winding Road Mag uses a binaural microphone when recording their POVs so sound levels are much more exaggerated. If you want to hear what it sounds like inside, go for a test drive.

    I test drove a mazda 3 2014 i own a 2014 mazda 6, I have too say there is quite a bit of road noise in both of them not as bad as my 2008 ford mustang which felt like it had all the windows down while driving lol. The 3 has a lot more dampened ride quality then the 6 the 6 reminds me of the mustang I had but it is a little more dampened yes you can turn onto streets at 40 mph like the mustang

  • @kadajawi6567
    @kadajawi6567 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I wonder how the ride comfort (with the 18" alloys... sadly I want ACC, and only the top of the line model even has the option of getting it) compared to a Golf? I like heavy and very direct steering wheels and short distances between gears, but the ride should absorb as many bumps as possible. Worried that the 3 will be too harsh... maybe like a Seat Leon.

  • @Jeff_Rey577
    @Jeff_Rey577 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    What's the difference between the two runs from a dead stop? I noticed a light went off from the dash board after you pressed a button to the left of the steering wheel. Also I think that engine noise is perfectly fine hardly noticeable at highway speed. The annoyance I couldn't deal with was all the wind noise. Do you think that it's so pronounced here because of the microphone recording? Thanks.

    • @windingroadmagazine
      @windingroadmagazine  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Jeffrey, during the second run I turned traction control back on. You're right, the engine is very quiet at highway speeds. It was pretty windy last week when I had the Mazda3, that may have been contributing to some additional wind noise. The 3 also seemed to struggle a bit with staying straight on the highway with the extra wind. -CA

    Personally, I test drove the Mazda and found it to be overrated. For starters, it's expensive. A fully loaded Mazda 3i grand touring costs around $25K. Secondly, as you can see from this movie, this car is loud. It's not so bad in town, but once you hit the highway the wind and road noise is considerably more than the competition. The tachometer design is stupid. It's difficult to read the digital tach they have in this. The touchscreen, while nice to have one, looks like a cheap afterthought the way that it's mounted. Granted, this is a very fun car to drive, I walked away from the test drive with more complaints about it than the new Honda Civic.

    • @Robert.Riddle
      @Robert.Riddle 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ferrrariscuderia111 I've done research on this and Mazda hasn't said anything about any improvements made to '15 or '16 models. There probably won't be any improvements until at least the 2017 mid cycle refresh model. I can tell you from almost two years of ownership of my 2014 model that the car is horribly loud on the highway and the dashboard (while mostly made of a nice soft touch plastic) creaks and cracks over the smallest of bumps. If that kinda thing bothers you (it bothers me) then you probably should look elsewhere if you are looking for a new car. It's a shame because everything else about the car is absolutely wonderful.

      +Native722 Well, this is a good indication of how the car drives. If you can hear road or wind noise in the vid, the cam picked it up; it's present. I can hear noise. If still wondering, you may want to take a car for a test drive. I'd go with the that option.

      yeah but if you really want a manual car, then you have to go with the 2.0. I drive the 2.5 daily and really, the paddle shifters are really cool, but it's not like a manual gearbox

    • @wonderwall135
      @wonderwall135 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True but I think manual transmissions are a dying technology as modern systems will soon be able to shift faster than humans. Even race cars have automated manuals now.
      Also, the 2.5l engine will be available in a manual this August/September when the 2015 models hit the dealers.

    • @12chrisrob
      @12chrisrob 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We had to bought our car before July so we couldn't wait for the 2015 model. Also, I think manual transmission are not only for the performence, but also for the fun. Yeah, a double clutch auto can shift damn fast, but its not as fun as shifting the gear yourself. That's why I think manual transmission are nicer, and maybe the guy who uploaded the video wanted a manual transmission, maybe he just hadn't the budget for the 2.5l
