- After we completed the 2019 Mazda3 review, due to the technical nature, many of the pros and cons were cut short. In this video, we discuss the good and bad of the new Mazda and then some. Instead of a traditional top 10 list or list video, we go into the detail to level expectations. There are other cars that are close like the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, VW GTI and the new Hyundai Veloster, but the Mazda has some unique things that we discuss.

It matters. Try driving a Hyundai at night for more than 30 minutes. You will be going around with an electric tape next day, bluish LED light is annoying AF.
@@Neanderthal75 that's exactly how it affects me, bluish and white interior lights putting me to sleep. Regular bulb color dimmed is so much better for dash illumination while driving

I personally LOVE the claustrophobic feel. It makes me feel more "in the car". Almost like its my room or home. Its dark and cozy. Just a personal preference.

Just bought mine and I could not be happier. I travel for work and get to drive a ton of cars and this is truly special.
What's your take on the brakes? Test drove one yesterday and didn't know the brakes were very stiff and linear, which is kind of a turnoff. The rear torsion beam also turned me off.

@@kewtheii6764 I love it, don't even really notice the rear torsion beam unless I'm in an environment that is ideally suited for a multi link rear (super bumpy on one side). Amazing car all round which is awesome.

@rockn roll I bought this car a month ago and love it. You get used to the HUD pretty fast. Now I can't live without it.
@rockn roll The interior is really high quality. Feels like an Acura or Lexus. Ride is smooth. The safety features work well. Radio cruise control is fantastic. It slows down and speeds up by itself in traffic. Can slow to a stop and then go again. It even slows down automatically as you go around a relatively sharp turn on the highway. Everything is automatic: windscreen wipers, climate control, headlights, high beams, parking brake, lock and unlock. So easy and so pleasant to drive. I put 1600 miles on it in a month, which is twice as much as I usually drive. And it looks sleek and sharp from the outside. I got a premium hatchback--it looks better in person. All my friends have been impressed. Best car for the money right now.

the color temperature analysis bit is why i will always come back to this channel. most people dont understand it, hell, some people cant even tell the difference. but i walk in their house, see a 6500K bulb in a ceiling fan and a 3000k bulb on a floor lamp both on at the same time, i basically say we cant be friends anymore. but we're friends, mr goose
It’s that attention to detail that keeps me coming back to savagegeese and I’m over the Pacific in Australia where the spec level of the same vehicle is usually quite different. But I find Mazda gets it right more often than the others. Spec level of all Mazda3 models here in Oz is somewhat higher than US models except we don’t get AWD (yet, at least). No snow here so not really needed but we do get rear seat air vents. Check out Mazda Australia website for local specs. www.mazda.com.au
What if the area doesn't require that much light?
It's difficult to explain details like this to other people without seeming neurotic or outright crazy. But absolutely everyone appreciates when all the details come together, even if they are unaware and/or uninterested as to why.
@@Crosshead1 Australia is Mazda's number 1 market per capita. We've been able to grow an appetite over many decades (Mazda's were even appreciated starting with the 66 Luca). Larger dealer network, broader market willing to spend more. Australia is an option sensitive market, whereas up until the last few years, the US has been a cost sensitive market.
I think Mazda will gain a lot shifting perceptions in the US to a higher grade. Their use of the word "premium" and "signature" a lot in the US are used to push the product in the direction slightly of Lexus and Acura.
In Australia though, we don't need it. We get a broader range of engines, models with more standard features simply because (1) we'll pay and (2) if some of the safety features were made options, the car would fail the latest ANCAP safety ratings.
We understand what Mazda is about and it's the reason it outsells everything except Toyota.
There is one other reason I believe Mazda has done so well. The Australian local manufactured vehicles were borne out of being fun to drive. We loved the large, rear wheel drive, large engined Commodore and Falcon.
But when fuel became more expensive, Australians moved into small vehicles. Mazda's were the smaller cars that had the same fun factor (albeit, FWD and small displacement). From there, a shift into SUV's has meant the CX-5 has been a winner.
(of course the Australian industry died while we were moving on)
At the start of 2019, the two highest selling (non commercial) vehicles in Australia were the Mazda 3 and CX-5. That says everything :)

I really respect and agree with Mazda's philosophy. A car is more than the best 0-60 or the best handling throwing around a corner. Unless you are racing the car, 99% of the time none of those performance numbers matter. Being relaxed, confident and predictable is and should be the no.1 for any DD. Mazda is able to do all that without sacrificing the "feel" of driving.
... So, the same could apply to the brz, thanks for the confimation. A car is more than the sum of its parts, or hp/tq; it's about a feeling. Strange, Mazda uses that in their commercials.
Their automatic transmission and laggy throttle response sure kills it for me. I had to ditch my auto cx5 after 8 months.
Except that they did sacrifice it. Drive it next to a 2013, and you'll realize that the older car is the better driver. Much more buttoned down and predictable than this on is.
Not to mention reliable. Mazda not adding turbos to this car sure gave it a lot of low-key points.

This isn't a review. This is a full analysis. Great video, before I purchase another car I'm definitely looking at your videos.
I haven't drove the Mazda3, but I have the 18 Mazda6 Sport, and it's definitely no rocket....but what it is, is FUN. You whip it into a corner and take every curve with gusto because you know the car can handle it. And it's usable every day. And safe. And so far, reliable. And it was inexpensive.
It hits all the buttons for me. And I hope it does for others because Mazda really shows an attention to detail and care to the little things that so many other auto makers have lost over the years. Now it's about shoving as much crap into the car as possible, even if half of it is unnecessary, or doesn't work right.

To me Mazda nailed it. I'm in no rush to buy a new car (been buying used for a while) because of how disgusting the tech is in cars and it's planned obsolescence to a whole new level and price with cars these days.
Mazda made it simple, elegant, non-flashy, usable. They're going right where the industry should be.

Considering the OS is based on Linux, 90% of the code is there. Mazda is not doing a good job at tuning it. They had Johnson controls load it up with features but those features never made it to the buyers....
No reviewer, no one, goes into this degree of detail about a car. Only savagegeese.
It's not only the degree of detail, it's also the curation of it. He stands to the important bits, things that have an importance in day to day usage. I see others that go and show you every single button and bonnet crease, which is just plain boring. He is the best.

As a mazda driver coming from an audi q5 the simplicity is heaven. When ur in the car its for driving and paying attention to the road mazda has this by far and i love it! The gimmicks and constantly figuring out how to balance ac etc etc with the other cars ugh yea no thanks.
Great info on the Mazda 3. First thing I noticed when sitting inside one was exactly that; limited visibility, especially out my rear window. But on test driving, that all dissipated as the overall driving experience was sublime. She fitted like a glove. In love with this car.
The sedan has excellent visability. Looks a lot better with the sporty appearance.

I’ve had my mazda 3 hatch for 2 weeks now! The red leather is amazing it’s very luxurious for the price. I love this car.
Just a question, if you don't mind. How's the speaker system? How is the bass? He said in the review that Bose system sounds flat. What do you say about yours?
Codey that’s a load of BS. The two woofers are under the front dash and there’s an additional woofer under the back seats near the trunk. It’s really actually an insane audio system. I don’t even need an aftermarket sub and I’d thought about one before I got the car. Even with the bass barely half up it’s crazy.

How's the AC system like? Though the design looks nice, I've seen a few reviews that say it struggles cooling the cabin
I’m about to pick up my hatchback Thursday I’m a little worried about the C Piller some people say it’s a Blindspot, is that a concern? I love the European look of the car so much better than the sedan and just want to make the right decision!I heard the car has good pep and handles really well and is super quiet! I chose the dark blue and I can’t wait to get it!
I just bought an AWD Sedan for daily commuting. I'm still getting used to it. So far so good. I agree with all the pros and cons mentioned. Some of the cons don't impact me because I have the middle trim level, (Preferred). The sound system is very strong. The overall sound might be a bit over compressed and EQ could be better but its not a real problem - overall I am VERY happy with the sound system. It is better than any premium oem sound system I've every had. The infotainment is simple and clear and easy to see. I like it. Apple Carplay works well. The interior is very nice. It is a comfortable car with good handling and just enough power for me. I agree a bit more ability to customize displays and defalut settings would be good. But, honestly not a big deal to me. I have zero interest in a turbo - prefer the 2.5 NA which is tried and true and has all the power I want or need in my commuter car. I'm lucky to have an S2000 when I am looking for a sports car experience. Even my S2k is NA and I will leave it that way.
Update: June 30, 2019. My 3 has been at the dealer now for just shy of one month waiting for a new exhaust system shipping from Japan. The dealer and Mazda expect the new exhaust will fix what they believe is a failure of the system to adjust back pressure when it goes into and/or out of cylinder deactivation mode. I bought the car rather then leasing it because I expected the engine to be ultra reliable. Might have been a mistake. We shall see. My patience is running thin.
Update 2: My car came back yesterday, just one month after the dealer took it for the repairs. The delay was attributed to the need to ship the part needed to repair the problem from Japan. The dealer also took care of two recalls that were issued during the time the car was with the dealer. So far so good. Also, Mazda gave me the long term enhanced warranty they offer with these cars. The car is working well. It is nice to get it back. I remain optimistic. My sense is that this AWD car is well designed and manufactured, and that the issues I have had are the typical sort of thing that you get with new model in the first year. I knew I was likely to have those sorts of issues but I needed a car now so I bought with my eyes wide open. We shall see.
Update 3: This 2019 3 ended up being a complete lemon. Ultimately Mazda was unable to get the car running reliably. I need reliable. So, I traded it in for a 2020 because it was the only practical option I had. Mazda gave me a bit of a reduced price but I took a bath. The good thing is that the problem was solved quickly and the 2020 has been 100% perfect for about 15K miles now. Not a single problem. I love the car as a daily driver/commuter. Highly recommended notwithstanding the major problems I had with the 2019.

What I absolutely love about this video is that for once, it shows what it is to "live with the car". Please do more of them. Those are issues/pros that nobody talk about and that everyone discover after living with the car for a while.
Was reading at the extreme lengths Mazda went to in Hiroshima to get the perfect feel of a button. In Japan they call it "shokkaku", or the sense of touch. But it went further than that, even employing a psychology professor in Kenta Kubo, who worked with the engineers to ensure that not only was a switch able to be measured for how it had an emotional response (using Russell's Circumplex Model of Affect), but ensure that every single switch was able to equally, and correctly convey the right emotion for the driver to enjoy their driving experience.
Great to see such a small company being thoughtful with the small details. The fact they're sweating all the details in so many areas, and still able to build affordable cars is amazing. Unfortunately, as per Japanese culture, Mazda are very modest and never really blow their trumpet hard enough. Particularly in domestically in Japan.
Glenn Stewart: Yes, they often talk about wanting drivers to pay attention to driving; fewer distractions not more. Knobs and buttons matter-who woulda thunk it.

@@bobbowie9350 It's a Japanese attitude towards continuous improvement that Americans will never understand. That is why attention to details is always lacking in Ford, GM and Chrysler vehicles. Instead of reducing all the efforts down to PR crap, it would be to the consumer's benefit to actually raise these details to provide a better sense of enjoyment.

@Norma Jean Vandever Dude, it's a Mazda. Their 2.5 turbo has been in use for a long while and it's gonna be reliable. If you don't have anything nice to say just bite your tongue friend.
Considering the problems the Mazdaspeed3 turbo had, ya better pay constant attention to timely oil changes and oil level.
Just bought a Mazda 3 Sedan. Love it. I had an 07 Mazda 3 and moving into a 2019 took some getting use to with visibility. Great video man!
I honestly think this is the best new non-luxury car in the world right now. It's not a sports car, but it doesn't need to be. I think it has plenty of power for a daily driver, especially here in Europe where it comes with a manual for all trim levels.
Also, the fact that it uses naturally aspirated engines, doesn't have telematics and that the infotainment is designed to be simple and functional, the natural steering and pedal feel, all of these and more are huge pros for me.
@@mezzb I think it definitely has more than enough power for normal maneuvers like you described. Here in Europe we get it in base model with a 2.0 liter NA with just 120 HP and a manual transmission. Even that moves decently with a 0-60 of around 9 seconds. This North American version should do around 7 seconds 0-60 which is more than plentiful for regular driving.
@@mezzb My mazda 3 (last gen) has more than enough power to get me into trouble. Going from an old 90's honda to this I found myself cruising on the highway at 90mph without noticing it lol. Why not take it for a test drive and see for yourself.
@@weedmastersr you might want to check out OV Tune (Orange Virus Tuning) they're quite known on the Mazda 3 forums. Your 120hp can be tuned to ~180hp for a very reasonable fee via online ECU reflash. I have a 2.0 (155 stock hp) now pushing ~180hp (crank). Best thing I've done to the car so far! Hope this helps :)
@@mezzb I am driving an 07 corolla with a 1.8L 125HP four banger, and I find it peppy enough to merge on the highway and for all my daily driving. Sure, I have to put my foot down to encourage it sometimes (especially with 3-4 people in it), but as I enter the car market, watching all these reviews that these 2.5L, or 1.5T, or whatever are "slow" really makes me question. I'd be interested to compare the weight of my 2007 vs the 3000lb "compact" cars out now, though.
Unfortunately in Europe you can't buy the saloon/sedan in petrol. Deal breaker for me.

I know this is an old video, but still relevant. I've got to say that I don't understand how you don't have more subscribers. You easily do more, say more, provide more in every situation on a video and it's all relevant and great to hear. It's the kind of detail that you can never get in a test drive or from one of those goofy youtube channels like the "Straightpipes". It's all heavily thought through and isn't there to make me laugh or to put me to sleep. It's like being with an engineer that loves cars and asking every question you want to ask at the dealership or even after you bought the car. So good. Thanks man putting in the effort.
Love this take on the car, you'd almost never hear about the lighting and how much attention to detail they took from other reviews unless it was a sore spot, or the bit about the speakers as well.

Nice follow-up. Interesting about the HUD. I have a 2018 Mazda 6 Sig and never experienced any jitter. Also agree on your overall assessment. This car is so good that my wonderful wife, who has never been into cars, is really looking forward to making the 3 hatch (Premium AWD, White with red interior) her next car. She has been doing the domestic thing with our trusty 2010 CX9 but is ready to move back to a car like her 1998 Civic hatch. Having driven the new Mazda3 hatch (select option level) I have to say that Mazda is truly killing it. And as always your insights around their company culture and approach is bang on. I'm a fanboy, yes, but becasue Mazda clearly puts so much effort and passion into their products. You get the sense that every car in their line-up is given the same level of care and is never "phoned in". Which is more than can be said for any of the large Goliath manufacturers out there. Suffice to say follow-up reviews like this also demonstrate how you continue to be the go-to guy for informative, well-produced and insightful reviews. BTW, wish you had that Savagegeese baseball cap for sale. It is quite nice. :-)

Fun facts about Maserati, in Norwegian it sounds like "masse rart i" which means "lot's of strange things inside". Which is pretty much correct.
In Danish, the words "masse rart i" more or less translates to "...a lot of good things in it...".

Having owned previous gen mazda 3s i can appreciate the updates. It really seems like the perfect car to me, fit and finish look first rate and these "cons" dont bother me at all. Just what im looking for!

Thanks for the great video! Was looking to buy a new car and my friend told me the new Mazda 3 was nice. You covered a lot of stuff in this video that most people never mention, definitely helped make up my mind. It was nice to hear someone finally mention the audio system, even though it would come out as soon as I got the car so I can install my system.
It's refreshing to see a car with so much passion put into it. Thank you for conveying every possible mourscle and then some. I gotta say, I like their split designations on the infotainment display/gauge cluster. The separation makes it seem more.. orderly? Less of a cluster F? Or it's just annoying af in reality I dk.

In 2010, my roomie rented a Mazda 3... I sat in the back seat and was amazed how comfy it was. I could tell the car was a blast to drive by how it cornered. I am currently in the market for a used Mazda to daily drive.

I own the 2019 lift back. Full package as well. The only thing I wish this car had was a factory turbo set up. This car handles great. It's actually quite nice and sound on the inside. A lot of people that I drive in it simply love it.

Personally I think having everything separate is great. Dont want distractions while driving
some people need to take bus not a car to get know what car need to run.
There is a very easy fix for HUD if it annoys you so much. Put a piece of carton to cover the light source on top of the cockpit and you are good to go:)
Not as easy but nicer fix is to disconnect HUD unit connector (or cut the power supply wire and install a switch somewhere)
... I like the toaster cover idea, but it could be a small hassle while driving...
or use black duct tape.
Or don't buy the car.

Savage kills it again. What a great, down to earth review! I loved the explanation of why 2.5T is missing in action for now. I'm pretty sure once Mazda offers it, and the price goes up, people will be enraged that Mazda 3 can go up to $34k :)
That sounds about right. I bet even with the x the Mazda 3 will be cheaper than with a turbo.

Totally agree. I have gone for a 2h test drive on a mazda 3 skyactive x 2.0 180HP 4WD full extras . Here's my opinion:
Pros:
- Luxury feeling on the interior.
- Nice and comfortable
- In my opinion the design of the car. It looks simple but at the same time sporty. You can also buy some side skirts and more agressive bumper if you want but i dont think it is necessary.
- The assembly of all the materials inside the car. Really well done
- The camera quality is great
- Gray with black wheels looks amazing
- The driving position is brilliant. Spot on. I am 1,86m tall and loved it. You can lower the seat to an extend where you feel like you are really driving a sports car.
- Manual gear shifting is also perfect. It is very shrot distance, sharp, good feeling and the clicks.. those clicks makes you feel great everytime you ship the gear
- The price
Cons:
- The sound system. My car had bose system which is an extra and to be honest, i did not like the sound of the car. Sounds a bit flat and even when you change the settings most of the sound comes from the front. It is just not what you expect when you buy some bose sound system for your car. There is no surround feeling
- Engine & Exhaust sound. This is personal taste. I dont need a car that sounds like a sports car but after driving this care around I felt a bit bored. I was speeding but barely could hear the sound of the engine nor the exhaust. For some people this might be a good thing but to me, I wish mazda have used some extra salt on this feature to match the sound with the exterior design
- Rear central glass visibility. Because this is a Hatch Back, the visibility is poor. You won't notice when you driving but you will defiantly notice this when you try to park the car. Luckily if you buy the camera as an extra, you will survive just fine. I understand this is not super fast sport car etc etc.. but the sound just doesn't match the exterior .. at least fake the sound i can feel happier :)
I was surprised in an older video(like 2016) when you were talking about how the car OS was running linux on the older mazda3 and rooting to get android auto. didn't realize you were an ex-techie until this video, AWESOME! fan for life!
Bought a 2020 HB last weekend, I am in love with this car. I wanted a Mazda 3 when I was a teenager and finally bought one as my first brand new car
Honestly, the performance of standard cars today is so much better than 20 years ago I don't see any need in even more performance. I'm a fast driver but if I exploited the full performance of the Mazda 3, I'd find myself going really slow because I'd be on a bus without a licence.
Yeah and all my speeding tickets and any ticket was in my current Mazda 3 because it's fun to drive. People need to remember that lmao

I bought a Mazda3 hatch five months ago in GT Sport trim with the latest e-Skyactiv X engine (186ps/240Nm) with manual transmission. I've owned premium German cars for decades but circumstances changed and I wanted a modestly-powered, well equipped, sub-£30k petrol-engined hatch with good handling and refinement. For the price, this car is astonishingly accomplished. No regrets at all.

On the topic of panoramic sunroofs. I had a mk7 golf sportwagen. I could hear and feel the lack of torsional stiffness in normal driving. Everytime I'd pull into a driveway, I'd hear it flexing and shifting.
I looked into getting a Golf Sportwagen, but then I read so much about problems with leaks I got scared off.
Opening audio: descending synth gliss- nice. It even sounded good from the phone speaker.

I'm amazed at how positive your negatives are! I just bought a cx30 five months ago. Similar to mazda 3, and am quite satisfied with it. My biggest issue is what to me appears to be a complete departure from everything I have gotten used to expect from vehicle operation.
Its like learning how to drive all over again, and I have been driving for forty years. Up to this 2020 mazda the newest car id ever driven was a 99 crown vic.
Or my wife's 05 tundra. So these cars HAVE BEEN completely rethought, perhaps several times. Amazing.
The CX-30 is more or less a Mazda 3 that does everything slightly worse but has better ground clearance. Which is good because the roads in my country are god awful and the Mazda 3 scraped pretty hard every now and then.
Just purchased our 2021 M3 S Premium 6MT HB a little over a month ago, and I especially am loving the car. The faults you cite are very livable for me, and the pluses are amazingly good and make the car totally enjoyable. The exterior is beautiful, but the interior (I have red leather) doesn't disappoint, and makes me smile every time i get in. Awesome car!

As a technician, they stopped labeling fuse positions in the under hood fuse panel! Confusing when we took them out of transportation mode for the first time.
Love both of your videos on the new 3! They helped me seal the deal on getting the car. I really appreciate the details and depths you went. Kinda surprised you didn't mention the cylinder deactivation, it runs on two cylinders when possible and I believe that's what helps it hit 33 mpg (that's what I average per tank on my mostly highway driving). Fun fact 1: the heated seats will automatically turn on if the climate control is in auto and it's cold outside. Fun fact 2: you can select a mirror on the driver door and it will tilt down when the car is shifted into reverse. Fun fact 3: even though this isn't a small displacement turbo engine like the CR-V the radiator still has active shutters on it which should help the car warm up and get more heat into the cabin in colder climates.
Thanks for sharing these "fun facts" I knew and use No's 1 & 2. Wasn't aware of #3 - I have noticed that my 3 does warm up pretty quickly on cold days! Thanks!

Both are entertaining.
In that regard, savagegeese is very much like Mazda -- great attention to detail and always improving. I suppose that aligns Demuro with Toyota, which isn't entirely a bad thing. It's slow food vs fast food, and my preference is for slow food.

lol I just came from Demuro vid, I like his quick tours/quicks/dynamics vids, as well as the GOOSE's vids.
The maps on the sd card can actually be updated by the customer. All they have to do is download the software from mazda onto their computer and then insert the sd card into their computer. The Google maps and apple maps (android auto & apple car play) are updated by those companies automatically.
If you have a mazda with the Tom Tom navigation then yes you do have to bring it to the dealership. However mazda doesn't use Tom Tom anymore so this only applies to 2014 models.
As far as telamatics goes there is a telamatics module installed in the car. However its completely unused at the moment. Higher ups at mazda are trying to figure out what they want to do with it and how to protect the customers privacy. Whenever Mazda does decide to turn it on the customers will be contacted and informed.

I bought the 2020 hatch. Looks just like the blue model in this video Crystal Blue with black interior. I love it. What I like most about the Mazda 3 hatch model is the design. It’s unlike any other car on the road so I feel like I’m driving something truly unique. I’ve had people drive up along side me on the highway and peep it out many times day and night. This has never happened when driving my two previous cars I’ve had. The reviewer was thorough...damn light graphs and all lol. The “cons” are so small that I can hardly call them that. The reviewer has to reach here to come up with them but he’s on point with some steering wheel icons are angled down so if you’re tall you’ll notice it more. However memorizing the buttons comes quickly. I personally love the small windows. It’s like I’m cocooned In the car. Personally, I like having the interior lights dimmed on the lowest setting which also dims the HUD radio display too. It’s give a more intimate feel especially driving at night and with the black interior makes the car extra dark at night. I love this car.
Watching a lot of these reviews now that Mazda has announced the 3 Turbo Hatch in AWD. Currently driving a 2016 Mazda6 GT and I really want the turbo and AWD options. This was really helpful.
Mazda does a great job with suspension, chassis and steering tuning. I wish they had a more engaging powertrain though. I wish i could combine the VR6 and DSG of my Passat GT with my wife's mazda6 suspension tuning/damping and steering feel. That would be a super sweet daily driver.
My first car was actually a 1986 5 speed Mazda Pickup with no third gear. Unfortunately didn't have that old girl very long. Over a decade later in May of 2012 I bought a brand new Mazda 3 6 speed hatchback. It had just 44 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. Now almost 9 years later I'm approaching 671,000 miles.
While trim packages and displays are important, the things I can't see have kept my girl running strong. Well the internal parts, and a practically religious adhesives to service and maintenance. Regardless, I'm Mazda man for life now. My 2012 is still rolling and I hope she will keep rolling for many years to come.
If you're looking for a new or pre owned vehicle don't forget to look at more than just the bells and whistles. If you look closely at the Mazda 3, you will see very clearly that is so much more than just a pretty ride.

Love my 17 mazda 3, 2.5 hatch! Did replace bose stereo with speakers amps and sub, and added Dynamat all around,It is now perfect in my opinion!!!

THANK YOU for talking about interior lighting. That's always been one of my biggest gripes about Toyota/Lexus products. They always have something goofy, like the clock, completely mismatched and it always throws me off. Mazdas always been awesome about attention to detail like that. Even on my 80s RX-7 they had this figured out.

Thanks for the follow up with more details, although 80% of your cons are actually pros to me. I hate pano roofs. I love Mazdas organized approach to gauges. The shaking HUD is the only real con and sounds like it might just he a manufacturing defect.
