FH5's Turn around from Abject Disaster to Pretty Darn Solid Game since Mike Brown Quit/Got Fired around "Fordzathon" and Torben Ellert took over as Chief Creative Director around about Midnights at Horizon, has been pretty Impressive! maybe Turn 10 needs a new Creative Director as well, its what sorted PGG out! Sadly, to make any additions to the Mexico Map, including adding New Races, Playground have to get Permission from the Government of Mexico first, and they are Extremely Reluctant to give that Permission, so it is not easy for PGG to add new events to the main map, they are adding them, but it is rare due to the issues they are having with the Mexican Government. Sadly, given the JPNA (the Japanese Police!) are running a complete Crackdown against Media that they see as Promoting Dangerous Driving and illegal Street Racing to such a Point that even Wangan Midnight and Initial D have had to go completely "Closed Course Legitimate Motorsport" now just to stop the JNPA from shutting them down, I do not see them ever Giving Permission for a Forza Horizon Game to be set in Japan. I just don't think it is going to happen. Remember, since 2017 and Ubisoft so upsetting the Government of Bolivia that they kicked the whole French Embassy out, it has been an International Legal Requirement that you need Permission from the Government of the Real Country to have a Game Map that has the Name and Iconography of a Real Country, this is why PGG needs Permission from the Mexican Government to do anything to the map in FH5, and the Japanese Police Crackdown on Media that Promotes "Street Racing" is likely to make Horizon Japan Impossible. Their hands, new CCD or not, are very Tied!
I sadly don’t think there is any saving FM8. I hope I’m wrong, unless they amp up the live service model and really start adding a lot more content. Fix the penalties, and the match making. Idk I fear we won’t see an FM9.
The latest Update was supposed to fix the penalties and the match making, but it seems to be just as bad as ever, sadly, I do agree the Game could well be Unsavable as it is just so broken at the core code Level. I don't think the 18/6 Contract is helping, as it means pretty much the whole dev team gets replaced every 18 months, and it is just not possible to get Professionals on that kind of contract, its mostly Rookies who just do not know what they are doing and are just not able to fix the issues with the Games core code as a result. Heck, for all we know it could be a "Colonial Marines" issue where someone has put literally just one Zero in the wrong Place in one line of core code and it has broken the whole Game! it tends to happen with new and Inexperienced Staff of the kind that Turn 10 now mostly consists of, as all the Old Staff upped and Quit due to the 18/6 Contract, I mean, Ezaki would not even offer a Permanent Contract to the man who Designed and Programmed the Games F-Tech Engine! they basically forced the Engine Designer to quit! the one Person who knew more about the Graphics Engine than anyone else on the Team! FreiNDA has the Story on that, It makes for some pretty harrowing viewing! Indeed, a Few Recycled FM7 Cars and maybe the odd Recycled Track given a Slight Upgrade on its Textures and Physics Calculations is just not good enough to get people to persevere with the Games issues, a lot of which make the Game feel like it is still in Alpha. It really does feel like it needs another 2 or 3 Years of Development. After 6 Years it indeed should have been a lot better, but, with the whole team getting replaced every 18 months, and a Former EA Executive in Charge (yup, Chris Ezaki used to work for EA, and one of the Games that he was heavily involved with back when he was an Executive at EA was NFS Payback....which explains a Lot!) I guess it never stood a chance! Fortunately, such Contracts are illegal in the UK as they go against a Couple of Acts of Parliament, so Playground are not Affected, most of their Contracts are Permanent or at least long term, and they have Staff who have been working on Racing Games since F1'97, so hopefully FH6 will not have as many issues. I do agree that Forza Motorsport is sadly likely to be Scrapped and Turn 10 Shuttered due to the issues with FM8, as Microsoft seem to be on a bit of Streak when it comes to Mercilessly Shutting any Studio that they see as Underperforming, even if their last Game was Good, so with their last Game being a Disaster, I think Turn 10 has Probably had it, and, so long as FH6 comes out good, Horizon will Probably become the main Forza Franchise. Shame Really.

@@Tymanderr Yup, going with Permanent, or at least long term Contracts, and getting Professionals would result in Microsoft making better Games, when the Bottom Line is everything however, such logic, unfortunately, goes out the Window! Forced Multiplayer is something that also has me seeing Red! if they are going to do Live Services, they really should not force Multiplayer as a Part of it, not everyone has the Mental Fortitude needed for how Crazy Multiplayer tends to Get !
@@simeonyves5940 I 1000% prefer multiplayer. I have tried so many times to get through the career, it is just soooo boring. Racing against AI is just not for me, it’s a grind rather than a challenge if that makes sense. They also give you like no money at all for these races and I have missed out on so many FOMO cars cause I hate career.
