The difference between inline 6 and a V6. Inline 6's have a smoother power delivery. So with that being said, it seems like Bugatti is trying to make a 16-cylinder vehicle that is meaner than any AC-130👍🏾!
I bet it's going to be for a concept in the same arena as the boat tail but probably styled like an updated version of their "type" cars in the 50s when they started looking more sporty. They all had long hoods which would be perfect for a long engine

It's a hybrid V16. The engine alone will make 1000hp, and an electric motor will add 800 with a combined total of 1,800hp with AWD, not to mention the engine is a little bigger than W16. The V16 will be an 8.3L engine

Well the v engines sound better than the w engines. Also I bet it had something to do with the cylinder width and bore spacing plus thermodynamics upon making more power plus their car can be skinnier now providing better aerodynamic with it the design. Although the balancing of that crank shaft from flexing or walking might prove to be an issue. Nonetheless I say awesome. Probably still go with a venom f5 though.
