Yes, those are so unbelievably easy to make just having to mix so many ingredients together at so many different times and in very particular ways, while doing precision cooking, spending about an hour or more on actually making them and almost a full days worth of time….So much better than a quick trip to the store and a buck or two.
Made this recipe. Used corn starch instead of potato. Also we couldn’t wait to try them so only let them sit for 4 hours and they were almost all the way cured and cut easily. So easy!
@stantwice I never liked marshmallows either. In my early 30’s I realized I react badly to corn syrup. So I made them with honey. AMAZING! Now I love marshmallows (as long as there is no corn syrup)
1:54 honey also works. I recommend pale color honeys like March honey, canola honey or dandelion honey. I heard fake honey also works. If you used dark color honey your marshmallows will be pale orange rather than white. 2:17 you can also have a glass of ice cold water and drop a bit of syrup to it until it forms hard ball. I do this and it works. I actually just ate some, and the others are on the plate in my kitchen. Doing them costed almost nothing. Buying them would cost a lot.
"They're unbelievably easy to make." Me: Don't know half of the ingredients, can't go to the kitchen without getting a burn/cut, don't have half of the materials.
Quakari what? You never seen sugar in the store? You never seen salt? You can use honey instead of the corn syrup. Powered sugar can be make by using a high power blender, i might understand the starch and the vanilla, but not anything else
Homemade Marshmallow really gets useful when you start being more creative with the flavors or presentation. Certainly easier to do with a stand mixer but you could do it by hand. By hand, or just at a lower speed will get you firmer marshmallows that aren't quite as fluffy. There's just an incredible variety to what you can do.

If I'm off to the store to the store to get potato starch and corn syrup, I'm probably gonna grab a bag of marshmallows.
everyone: why
Joshua: why not
Him: Says it’s very easy to make

dont JUST use powdered sugar tho
i made it without potato starch before and its fine just gets a little stickier a little faster
Tim Sauers pizzas are actually rlly easy to make tbh, i use tasty’s pizza dough recipe (which is rlly good) n just customize them. probably one of the easiest things to make from scratch
Tim Sauers a few days ago i had to make like 6-8 pizzas for my fam and just doubled that recipe, it took awhile to make but that was mainly just having to wait for the one in the oven to cook before putting the next one in

My literal first thought when I saw that knife was "that's a sexy ass knife" then I shamed myself bc i thought it was a weird thing to think. Then he talks about how cool his new knife is. I now feel validated
Yes, those are so unbelievably easy to make just having to mix so many ingredients together at so many different times and in very particular ways, while doing precision cooking, spending about an hour or more on actually making them and almost a full days worth of time….So much better than a quick trip to the store and a buck or two.

Literally the only chef-y thing is the stand mixer and you can easily use a hand mixer. Just say you're lazy

Josh and his fans: B-ROLL!!
Ohmygod. These need to be made strictly for the fact that the square shape is the most extra thing I’ve ever seen. It’s aesthetic af.
This is giving me Narnia's turkish delight vibes.

“You want salsa flavored marshmallows? Sure, Go for it.....yes I would judge you for it”
