    I absolutely love that instead of being competitors, on day one of the N. Amer launch you are like "hey here is how it can work together!" this really opens up things for me as i would love to have the full Rokoko solution, but don't think that will be possible. but with Mocopi i might actually be able to! thanks so much

    • @Metarig
      @Metarig ปีที่แล้ว +2

      they're not even in the same league! The quality you get from mocopi doesn't even come close to what you get from the rokoko mocap suit. It totally makes sense for rokoko to be supportive.

    • @ShannonMoran
      @ShannonMoran ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Metarig ok cool thanks for your two cents - I knew mocopi wasn’t the same quality the price point proves that - just like motion builder is the industry standard for motion capture and Rohkoko is the next best thing - what I was getting at was the more options and softwares speak to each other the more you can choose what tool is the best for you and your needs

      Just be aware that the drift is very very bad with mocopi. Which is already a huge issue with the gloves even with a smart suit :-) makes data really bad for me

      @@virtualfilmer Oh you've been using it with the Rokoko gloves already?

    • @virtualfilmer
      @virtualfilmer ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JonathanWinbush sorry, no. I’ve been using mocopi itself, and the drift is bad. And the Rokoko gloves have a huge issue with the suit (I have gloves and suit). Can’t wait for the Coil Pro! :)

    • @virtualfilmer
      @virtualfilmer ปีที่แล้ว

      But they are like being underwater, at least my unit is. They kind of lag and drift a lot. I hope someone makes a Coil Pro-like device for mocopi, to provide absolute position! :)

    • @eirik2712
      @eirik2712 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@virtualfilmer Yeah drifting is my biggest issue with the suit. My head always gradually tilts and body parts get out of position with enough time. Maybe there are too many magnets and metals in my living room. However my gloves work quite well with the suit and haven't experienced drifting there. Coil pro and absolute position sounds cool though

    If I have my own character, how could I export it to the mocopi interface? Otherwise, the character needs to have the skeleton included or just having the modeling done is enough.

    For some reason my results in Rokoko Studio are way rougher than the native Mocopi app. Lots more jitter, foot lock issues, etc. Any suggestions?

    • @RokokoMotion
      @RokokoMotion  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is certainly very odd - the data should improve (quite a bit) when coming into Studio because of our realtime locomotion filter - not the other way around. Please send this to support@rokoko.com (preferably with a video example) and we can look at it.

If you have an iPhone, you can link it to Rokoko studio. Check out this link here - support.rokoko.com/hc/en-us/articles/5307921088785-Setting-up-Face-Capture-in-Rokoko-Studio.

      Mocopi is very low quality, in my testing, compared to Rokoko’s smartsuit. The market for mocopi is more casual, I think. It’s about $400 for mocopi vs $1000+ for smartsuit, plus mocopi drifts like a mofo! Smartsuit 2 with the new Coil Pro is almost driftless and gives absolute position

  • @elefantspidsmus

    There is one HUGE problem with Mocopi.
    The Mocopi-App without which the Mocopi-kit is useless, does not work in certain regions. A message will come up in Google Play or App Store saying: Not available in your region.
    Så Sony has sold a product, that is totally useless and dysfunctional, and there is no other option than to return the kit. This is totally absurd, since motion capture has nothing to do with regions.
    Another problem is, that the support site, that Sony gives, is fake. No-one is answering mails.
    Sony Corporation has a problem.
