Although the currently released Mocopi itself is excellent for entertainment purposes, my personal opinion is that if I could add one more Mocopi to make a total of 12 and have them support each limb and shoulders, this little fellow would undoubtedly be a perfect killer title. 😍
Or a mocopi with a Coil Pro-type device would be amazing!! I think the accuracy of Rokoko suits will be insane once the coil pro comes out, but something like that for mocapi (that isn’t $2000 like the coil pro) would be astounding
I was thinking the same thing. I think ThrillSeeker said in one of his videos that this is sort of doable if you used them with MO-Slime. He used the arm sensors as knee sensors, the VR controllers as hand data and the headset for the head data. Also Rokoko Studio already supports mocopi, so you can export to FBX or other skeleton presets if needed.
@@FPChris Sure so long as your budget allows it. A mocopi plus VR headset is still cheaper than a set of rokoko gloves. But yeah, provided you have the gloves, mocopi can give you the rest.
I can imagine using this to draft or sketch different animation style quickly, or to communicate what desires or changes you want to an existing one. This could be used as a tool to communicate with other animators, even if you are not one yourself, what you want the animators to do or want to give several "low quality / uncleaned" captures as reference. I will definitely buy one of these to explore its usage.
Hy Jae ! You've made some exercises this day😊 ! The MOCOPI test is perfect (except Blender), thank you very much for this product presentation ! With articles like your Mocap Helmet, the mocopi, an iphone and some beginners artist, we can finally create cinematic for an affordable cost ! Merci beaucoup ! 🙏
Damn the finger thing sounds a bit naff... Hope theres a workaround? I watched a tutorial on this, if you click on the menu (3 dots), theres a lock hip option, that keeps the motion tight when sitting down. Was impressed with the blender raw mocap, movements looked very good...
yea thats standard xsens also has that i use it when i dont have to sit up and back down but for this demo i wanted to go up and down to see if the mocap will moce origin which it looks like it did
@@Jsfilmzif kinect based mocap and mocopi almost the same price, which one is better? I have used brekel body, but whenever I turn around it just won't work anymore
Hi brother just got the Mocopi lately but I don’t know how to make it work with blender, can you tell me how ? I really appreciate it and I away watching your content 😊
@@Jsfilmz The price is almost 10 times lower. So this is expected. I used one of the first Xsens mocap suit many years ago. Back then it had a lot of drift. You needed to callibrate the T-pose after a few takes. And a lot of work to fix the data.
I guess fingerless motion can also be retargeted to finger included bone system. Then I can animated hands separately..It's fine since I had no motion capture suit or anything XD
plz help me after mocopi date save BVH import blender then can not copy to another character use sir whats problem blender link animation date not work to another character this animation
Yo JS, Have you tested how far you can traverse a space and capture the movement? Did you always leave your phone on the table or did you try with it in the pocket to extend the range you can get? I imagine the limit is the network strength? Curious from a creativity standpoint to understand how much animation translation can be done with these. i.e. Move Ai is amazing and has finger tracking but does this enable more movement without being bound to a "volume" area?
I think ill get on for using with previz at least. I wonder how it works with iclone? be good to see a test of that. Also which do you think is better move AI or this? great video thank you!
9:39 tha hell was that? haha🤣. Aye man, good to see you putting yourself out there to show us how these things work 👍. I think its a good starter kit, sure the absence of fingers does sorta reduced some of the awesomeness, perhaps some sorta added glove tracker could be a solution, or cameras located on the wrist trackers themselves to capture the finger movement like they do with the cameras on the VR headsets? then again such things might have shot the price into outer space. Nevertheless it seems good enough for such an easy setup.
Honestly I’m super jealous of you being normal size - I’m wayyy too tall for most mocap stuff, and my head is too big. Lol. Even the Rokoko largest suit is a squeeze and most helmets are made for normal sized human heads not big Europeans lol. (I’m over 6’4) also I travel a lot and id love to be shorter just to fit in planes 😂
Ive placed it iclone and messed about with. Top looks great. Bottom half is not good. Knees & feet in horrible positions. Damn, i thought walking would be ok, but its shakey & real awkward looking.

you can easily
Great video, what is your thought on mocopi vs kinect based mocap?
can you use those motions with metahuman face animation. I'm excited to see the tutorial.
yes
Did anyone ever mentioned that u are the exact Image of Dante basco??
I noticed you have the ankles to the outside. Would on top forward facing make any difference?
I saw the Rokoko studio supports this and you can also add gloves.
yea i dont like monthly payments though
Looks nice fore the price.
I would suggest gauntlets for the forearms, so you get elbow direction, and either a thigh, or knee-pad for knee direction.

Hey man, love your stuff! Regarding your mocap helmet, do you think you will offer shipping to germany in the near future?
considering shipping to germany is $80, ebay fee is $30 plus fees for transferring yea probably not
I tried using with LiveLink and Rokoko Studio but it didn’t appear as an input device for either program.
I think it will be a great solution for me... the problem is they ship only in USA.
How this will be available in Europe?!?!??
