This is great news for us Quest players We are finally geting all the cool stuff vr has Now that a big company like sony is makeing full body trackers more people will see the awsome stuff vr can do!
Hey I just wanna thank you for making videos man, you're the reason I'm into VRChat as much as I am now and I've met so many cool people on the platform I'm grateful to have found your youtube channel
If they utilize all trackers with chest from head, ye this looks very promosing. The more ppl that get FBT the more VRC or "metaverse" will grow.. Just need some super famous tiktoker/influencer person to get hooked and the masses come (postive and negative will happen), future looking fun.. Thanks for the video
Sony!!! 🎊❤🎉 I was five when the neighbor boy told me about his PlayStation. What I had envision was one of those wire tracks with beads mounted on a wood base.. 😂 my mind was blown.
What I'd like to see Sony do with their IMU tracker is enable pairing of 2 or 3 sets of six together, creating a total of 12+ trackers. This would allow for full-body tracking, with 4 trackers for the legs, 4 for forearms, 2 or more for the torso, and 1 for the head. With this setup, it would be possible to capture every joint, twist, and position, either with or without VR gear, and potentially achieve full motion capture image replacement. This means you could understand the human body's movement, record it with a regular decent camera, and replace the human with an avatar while keeping the front or back-facing scenery intact, not just limited to VR scenarios. Potentially it's still be cheaper than buying a full VR camera 500 point system minus the face favorite change the homemade private filming industry completely and it'd be well worth $1, 000 - $2000 specially if you could just use two or more video & motion capture devices AKA cell phones
The drift problem in mocopi tracker is still not solved after 7 months. Just got mocopi today and it started to face your body to the right like 40 degrees after few mintues use in VRC. You have to repeat recalibration constantly on your phone, it was still unusable for VRC. Hope Sony can figure out some ways to fix it.
IMU shouldn't even exist imo They have to manu flaws and it's not fun to recalibrate every 5 to 10 minutes. And the tracking quality with the delay isn't even worth talking about.@@ratherplay6470
As someone who just got the haritorax wireless after like a year of waiting I was very excited. While there was a bit of time for the setup, I had a blast using them. In the short test I had it tracked everything well enough for me to enjoy. I’m no critic so they may be bad but for me, they were amazing!
You didn’t mention the drift, other reviewers have mentioned that it’s much worse than other imu systems like slimeVR and haitoraX. Furthermore they said it’s a pain to fix the drift unlike the other two systems mentioned
The drift was making it unusable...(constantly facing your body to the right after few minutes of use)it was definitely not "a bit of" drift. By an upset mocopi owner who just recieved it today:(
@@stevel9205 HTC didn't say, it's currently in testing phases, some youtubers got to try it at VR conferences. Rumors say Q4 2023 for a price and release announcement to be sold around Christmas
Is it possible for anyone to get the beta update or was it a special sponsorship perk kinda thing? Would not buy this unless I could easily obtain the leg tracking update.
I thought i was the only one with problems with slime so I am glad to hear other's had the same issues. It was my birthday and I really wanted full body but I did not want to have my parents spend to much on full body so I looked into slime and thought it would be good. But they just kept pushing it back and back and back to where they said it was only gonna b 6 months til it was shipped, and it ended up being an entire year and we decided to refund it back. Also yes I was expecting to take a bit to get here but not excuses that prevented it from getting shipped.
So I really wanted to get FBT so I purchased the mocopi trackers. But when they arrived in the mail, my dog thought that they were skittles so HE ATE THEM AND NOW HE'S IN THE HOSPITAL AND I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY TO AFFORD HIS SURGERY BEACAUSE I SPENT IT ON THE TRACKERS AND NOW I DON'T HAVE THE TRACKERS SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE!!!
Do you know when they will be avabiable on Europe? Im waiting for cheaper alternatives than vive or tundra trackers but i cant find it. Maybe i need wait to the next year
You can get slime trackers as DIY kits, saves a lot of monrey if you're capable of assembingy them. Heard exclusively negative stuff about HaritoraX FBT, several friends got them but returned them within 12h, lotsa hassle putting them on and you get tangled in the wires, even ripping them off in certain cases with a lot of body motion. Nerver met anyone using sony FBT, but since they are IMU based anyways, they are essentially just overpriced slime trackers sold with a premium brand name, they attach magnetically to the straps and if you jiggle around with enough force, they'll fly off, as physics imply. Either you buy cheap, several times, or you buy the real deal, but only once.
Personally I have a decent pc that can handle most vr titles perfectly but I dont have base stations since im using quest 3. Would mocopi be smarter to get than vive trackers for me?
If you mostly use steamVR I would recommend getting base stations and tundra or vive. although if you mainly use just your quest 3 games I would get the mocopi
I got my for FBT for 20 dollars but It requires you to be a different color then you background and it really old technologies called the Xbox-360 Kinect. Personally the best software I have used for it is amethyst and yes it is only windows and it is on the Microsoft store for guess what for Free, compared to Driver for VR which can't detect people backwards and has a lot of lag
What is the latency when using the Mocopi standalone/natively with the Quest (without using a dongle. Is it in an acceptable or usable range? Is it really the case (I read it somewhere) that all trackers must be activated, even if not all are in current use? And that the whole setup crashes if one tracker fails?
Hello I'm new to this virtual reality, but I want the best for me and to concentrate my little brother, can someone tell me what is best for full tracking? No matter the price and if you can leave me the purchase link I would appreciate it very much. 😊
Get at least 4 Vive Trackers with Bay stations. If you want perfect FBT, get 8 Vive Trackers. Keep in mind you will be spending at least 1,000$ dollars. With an additional 1,000 for the Index if you don't have one already.
just to point somthing out... you say near the end that vive trackers are still a cheaper option... they are over twice the cost atlease here is australia that is
i guess i'll wait for a tracker suite to come out in the next few years... but it's a good idea, big gaming companies should invest more money in VR and better things, seriously
Can anyone help me? I'm trying to connect them to PC in order to utilize Slime VR and assign the wrist trackers to thigh trackers, as well as the head to chest. But whenever I enter my IP address into the PC connection settings (I can't find the option for the different tracking modes) there is no green stream motion capture button, it is red meaning it will record it and not send it anywhere.
I wanna get full body tracking, i have enough for vive trackers, but i REFUSE to use base-stations! But sadly, i don't live in a country with an unstable economy that rather spends its money on the military, but somehow thats where most FBT alternatives are available, the only thing i can do for now is wait.
i hate the fact vive 3.0 don't have gyro and can't make difference betwin lighthouse infrared and quest controller infrared, so they drift a lot, it's actually the thing i buy the most expensive and i regret it, i don't have 1k to spend for a valve index with controller, and other thing, 1.0 lighthouse suck for small space
Mocopi isnt really great for real time tracking. With drifting and time latence.. This product isnt made for gaming such as on vrchat. It can do the job for simple tasks, like walking, sitting, or just chill.. But at the moment you wanna make some extra moves it'll not be great as they said. Otherwise, it is great in content creation, when you can make several takes, adjust positions, make it smoother. It's more a Vtuber stuff than a VR player stuff. Interesting by its price, but worthless than Vive, Tundra or slime trackers.
welp I only need now a millionare company for money and SPACE for trackers or camera :DDDDD or just stay without fbt because it not needed for vr games like SKYRIM VR BEST GAME
eh dodged a bullet mocopi is notoriously low quality high latency and choppy af compared to every other ((two of em) imu solution with haritora being available rarely and never getting updates and slime vr being not out yet but you can build your own, although the first official slime are shipping soon which is nice basically mocopi is a lacklustre, awful product the only praise it's getting is from people who received it for free and most likely have a contract with sony and i have yet to see someone who bought them with their own money have anything good to say about them besides their size
if they are not meant to be eaten why do they look so yummy
DO NOT EAT THE MOCOPI TRACKERS
they were kinda salty 6/10
Are you twice’s friend in my Vr journey?
I second that.
The new Sony Edibles. 🥴
This is great news for us Quest players
We are finally geting all the cool stuff vr has
Now that a big company like sony is makeing full body trackers more people will see the awsome stuff vr can do!
vr chat + mocopi in quest 3 should be very good (of course if vr chat has a better version for quest 3)
Unfortunately I’m not sure how quest is going to be able to run any form of FBT without having issues/pc to connect the two
Always love to see VR and VR accessories becoming more accessible and affordable. Great video!
wow these look so cool so far! I'm excited to see where they go.

I bought $45 Amazon, full body tracking it actually they actually work pretty good

Bruh wth do you want 4 trackers for each arm? Tf?
the limitation with this is bluetooth, your phone can only handle so many bt connections at a time and 6 is already pushing it

Tried the new 1.3.0 version, and the drift is now even worse. My head now turns 90 degrees in 1 minute of VRC use, NICE WORK SONY👍

or maybe they fixed it in beta version.
The bucky beaver bobble heads took me out everytime 😆
Getting these as soon as they’re updated for Vrchat for everyone :)
Great video twice! Very cool
now if only they make a desktop app where you can connect directly to your pc, and perhaps steam support
I'm going to wait for the new Vive 4 camera trackers without the need for base stations
When is that coming out?

Is there a way to get the beta version of the app so we can change the wrist trackers to thigh trackers like you did
