Pro Tip: If you have a super low AR% and can't use the Dash Now feature or have a hard time scheduling blocks here's a trick. Schedule yourself 4-5 days out. So today is WED and I just scheduled myself for SUN from 6am-10pm. That way I'm always on and never have to worry about getting a shift that day. Yeah you get alerts all day and they pause you without letting you know sometimes so you have to pay attention but at least you never have to worry about can I dash now..
In most markets I have dashed in, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not the best days to Dash. Thursday to Sunday are the better days to dash, and Monday can be hit or miss, but I usually do ok .

Look for the "Pause" option. DD will not be able to stack/add anymore orders. Just have to remember to so this everytime.

The in app navigation is alright but I find sometimes it wants you make you take a loop around a few blocks to go somewhere that's just behind you etc.
The only problem I've seen with peek pay (in los angeles and san francisco markets) is that the time feels ridiculous. It's often "$2.50 from 11:30pm - 1:29am" or "$3 from 1:30am to 3:29am", which is great in general compared to markets that don't have any promos but I also like sleeping at a respectable time haha

Let's say, I'll do like 3 no tip orders per day; I'd accept that, but I shouldn't have to accept every single one they send me, as Platinum they shouldn't even be sending very many of those.
Peak pay nowadays just means you'll make less money than you would normally. So many dashers chase peak pay, which ends up defeating the purpose of getting extra money. It doesn't really benefit us as much as it does Door Dash itself. Dude same here! I live in a smaller town in Missouri but I've went days where I will only get maybe one tip for $3. I've DD for about 6 months now and I've only received one decent tip for $10...once.
interesting that your layout is different than mine. I just reinstalled the app last night too and its definetley not the same layout. for example there is no account data or vehicle managemet or profile to name a few on that screen at the end of your video in my app. I also dont have that menu at the bottom. Maybe you use Iphone and its different layout?
Hey Mike. Can you do a video on Dasher taking away the earn by time button and not giving any opportunity to dispute? I lost mine two weeks ago and my income dropped at least 200 a week.
I complained so much to support about support that the senior support supervisor called me and as I explained that support is always rushing me off the phone he hung up on me… call lasted about 20 seconds
My guess is that they work like most customer support call centers. I've worked at 2 before, they hold it against you if you are on a call too long. There's time "limits" in which they expect you to resolve the call. If you go over it's a ding against you... yes it's stupid

I just learned from Dasher support that earn by time may not be available if there already a lot of dashers who have chosen that option. It ducks if you're in a high traffic area with low tips.
The problem with videos like these. Every market is different. Im in a very small market. When we even get leak pay…. It’s 11.30pm and you get maybe one order because others will decide to dash at the same time too. Useless

I just earned about $5 per hour as a Platinum dasher tonight. And ruined my AR. Doordash is absolute hell these days
In most markets I have dashed in, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are not the best days to Dash.
Thursday to Sunday are the better days to dash, and Monday can be hit or miss, but I usually do ok .

I think the pizza bag leads to higher tips isn't because of the bag, it's because tipping the pizza guy is pretty much standard in our society

If they have like the bonus pay where it's extra two dollars or dollar in an area, all they do is give you a lower offer and then add the dollar on
