Recently got a bottle of the 14+ year select and it blew me away. Knob Creek is such a great value and always on the shelf. Great video, appreciate all the Dutch Star Wars shirts.
Wow, you guys got a deal on that 15 year. It's at least $100 at most stores. A store near me has one, but they want $130 for it. I actually just went grocery shopping today and saw one of those 10 year single barrels on the shelf. I thought about picking one up but I passed on it. I may just have to go back for it tomorrow.
KC was my gateway to whiskey. 18 years old on vacation, Dad, beer drinker thought he could shock me a bit with his older bottle of 120 proof (age statement but I can't recall how old), he got it as a work gift. He let me drink the whole bottle over a few weeks. Rich, and loved it! Gotta go grab another soon a few years later lol Have had a few expressions so far and store pick is closest to my memory, basic is burny and not as much flavor imo
I picked up two different ten year store picks and they’ve become daily sippers. They’re all over the place now for 50-55$. The 12 is definitely more beautiful and subtle and the 15 is straight butterscotch dessert. Cannot go wrong with any of them.
Smoking a Cuban H. Upmann Magnum 50 with the Pilar Dark Rum 24 year Solera ENJOYING every video!!!! Great content and awesome chemistry. Missing Ben but I don't want to ask what happened because it's none of my business. Awesome stuff guys!! Keep flourishing!!
Knob Creek has been killing it with their offerings. Great value and so tasty. I can't say bad things about the brand as far as flavor. Hopefully the brand will stay accessible in the wallet and not become a Weller-like (and others) unicorn on the shelves. Suntory might have f*ed up the Jim Beam campus when they took over, but the product has been really solid and available.
Curiosity Public That’s gotta be a record lol, it’s from a bar here in Denver. I occasionally find picks from local bars that got misdelivered to local stores, but from CO to CA is crazy. Btw, I’m glad you guys are back! I just barely stumbled upon the new channel yesterday, wish I’d known sooner.
I have 4 of the 5... so I don’t have #4. So far 1,2,3..all fantastic.. haven’t cracked the 15 yr. Have you guys done any Bookers reviews or drink throughs?
What's the deal on the "limited release" versions with the little button/stamp thing on them ? I found one in 12 year and was curious what the difference is
What I'm seeing in Ohio is that the 12 year sells out immediately, whereas the 15 year lingers on the shelf for days. Is the 15 year worth the extra $40 over the 12 year? Apparently not.
Do an Elijah Craig drink through with all the barrel proofs, small batch, toasted barrel, and Elijah 18yr I just realized damn I actually have all those bottles can do it with you guys
This was awesome! We did a blind review of the 12 and 15 recently and were a bit surprised by what we both chose. Great review guys, really digging your channel. Cheers!
The 12 year might as well be scotch. I hated it and sold it for $40. However, I’ve been to the Jim Beam distillery and enjoyed the 9 year reserve. Interested to try the store picks, but very hesitant
I’ve only tried the 12 yr, now I need to buy the 15 yr if I see it on sale under $100, or store picks. The 12 yr for me was a bit too oaky and not sweet enough to balance the oak. Still a good tasting bourbon though, just not one I would buy again.
KC makes some best bang-for-buck around. Lucky enough to have tried all these but 15 yr. have to say that indeed, that 14/120 pick from 2yrs ago was STELLAR. Probably my best single bottle that year. Although The 10 yr/120 pick was very good, after that 14 yr was a disappointment. I have't spent the hundo+ on 15 yr. yet because I'm sold on hopes of finding ànother great 120 proof pick . May have to bite on the 15 anyway..Great and helpful drink through guys. Thanks.
The 15 has a lot of depth and unique flavors. That said, if you like higher proof, the 25th is great. The 12yr is a great bargain though. So, depends what you like, but my favorite is probably the 15yr.
Where's the 9 year single barrel 120? That bottle is incredible for just $50, which is basically the same price as Woodford DO, and for that price, you get a 9 year age stated single barrel 120 proof pour. Russel's Single Barrel by comparison ( which is also incredible) is non age stated, non chill filtered, but only 110 compared to KCSB 120 and they charge $15 more for that.
Maybe I need to find that 12 year. I've only tried Knob Creek once, and I disliked it so much I've shied away from every variety of it I've seen since. I just remember so much spice and heat from it. My regular drinkers are Makers 46 and Buffalo Trace, in case that gives an idea of what I like, and why maybe I didn't like Knob Creek.
Knob Creek has been one of my more disappointing brands of late. A 9.5yr pick and the 12yr both didn't do it for me. Never found any of those 14-15yr picks, unfortunately. I think the flavor profile is not for me. I do, however, like Jim Beam's new 108proof SiB offering.
Did you guys know Dillon only drinks things over 120 proof? He's a tough man.
He literally has no other way to show it.
Great. Now I have to go look for some barrel picks this week. Thanks for the review!
Recently got a bottle of the 14+ year select and it blew me away. Knob Creek is such a great value and always on the shelf. Great video, appreciate all the Dutch Star Wars shirts.
I love these drink-throughs, they definitely give some perspective of what the range really brings!
Thanks! We've got some more of them in the pipeline, so stay tuned.
Just realized the guild (almost full form) was back together. Really glad to see this
Wow I am so glad to have found you guys again! Seven Grand is a bar here in San Diego and they specialize in whiskey! Great video guys!
Good to see you guys again! Lost track of you after the Bourbon Guild! Loved that show! Will have to start watching this!
Missing Ben the butcher of Bakersfield... he was the best part of the show
Great video! You should do a drinkthrough of the Old Forester Whiskey Row Series.
Great suggestion!
Loving the drink through series
Thanks!
13+ year Knob Creek store picks are the best value in bourbon in my opinion, and it's not close.
How are you guys under 600 subs? Great to have you back!!
Cause of the Strange channel name
I really missed you guys, great that you are back! Cheers
Keep up the reviews guys. Thanks for doing this one.
Great work guys! Next up DrinkThrough (tm) - all 10 of the Four Roses SB mashbills....
This would be amazing!
Wow. That'd be a tough one! Cheers!
Knob creek is one of my go to bourbons
Picked up an 11 year sb store pick after this video... You guys have cost me a lot of money.
Great review, for me other than ECBP this is one of the best values in bourbon! Cheers 🥃
Cheers!
Cool review! As always like the candid feedback. Keep it up...
The banter is almost as good and the juice. Keep up the good work.
long live the KNOB!! great review, thx
You guys need to do this again now that there are 18 YR

Knob 9 year makes an AMAZING Old Fashioned.
My go to as well.
Me too & their rye is my go to for a Manhattan

Prices are $55 for the 100 proof 1.75l and $45 on sale for the store pick in rural KS, very reasonable compared to some
Dutch is right. You need to drink in order of ascending proof. Do you even whiskey bro?
Another great drinkthrough. Thanks.
Great episode!!
Funny you should mention splinters from the 15 year box because I did get a small one from mine.
Great episode and glad to see you guys back.
My favorite drinking game is watching bourbon guild/CP and everytime dillon says "stewed" i take a drink
I picked up two different ten year store picks and they’ve become daily sippers. They’re all over the place now for 50-55$. The 12 is definitely more beautiful and subtle and the 15 is straight butterscotch dessert. Cannot go wrong with any of them.
Love the drinkthrough concept! Haven’t had the 12yr and 15yr. I love the 120 proof store picks!Cheers! 🥃👍🇺🇸
Where is .. The Butcher From Bakersfield ?
He most likely got kicked from the group for thinking for himself.
I got a 12 year old store pick. At something and more.
Love the video. Keep up the awesome work.

I need to find some of the 15, I’ve only had the 9. Thanks for the commentary, worthwhile video.👍🏽
Where did you pick up the Seven Grand Pick?
I would like to know as well.
Randomly found at a Von's.

“I disagree, so lets go” that’s awesome😝
I have 4 of the 5... so I don’t have #4. So far 1,2,3..all fantastic.. haven’t cracked the 15 yr. Have you guys done any Bookers reviews or drink throughs?
Great drink through! I really like the different opinions and honest discussion.
What's the deal on the "limited release" versions with the little button/stamp thing on them ? I found one in 12 year and was curious what the difference is
I think that might be the cask strength version.
@@CuriosityPublic thank you!
What state are you guys in that your finding all these awesome deals haha next time I hopefully go-to your state I'll have to stop by a few stores
What I'm seeing in Ohio is that the 12 year sells out immediately, whereas the 15 year lingers on the shelf for days. Is the 15 year worth the extra $40 over the 12 year? Apparently not.
Costco currently (2/22) has the Knob Creek 9 Small Batch for $40 for the 1.75 liter.
Do an Elijah Craig drink through with all the barrel proofs, small batch, toasted barrel, and Elijah 18yr I just realized
damn I actually have all those bottles can do it with you guys
Knob Creek just released a KC 12yr cask strength at 120.5. Interested to see how it holds up to the older sib store picks.
Yes. Really excited to try it!
A lot of people say the 15 yr is over oaked, I've never opened mine. I prefer the cask strength expressions better.
Their Rye is one of my daily drinkers. Now you have me wanting to explore the lineup.
This was awesome! We did a blind review of the 12 and 15 recently and were a bit surprised by what we both chose. Great review guys, really digging your channel. Cheers!
Awesome! Thank you!
The 12 year might as well be scotch. I hated it and sold it for $40. However, I’ve been to the Jim Beam distillery and enjoyed the 9 year reserve. Interested to try the store picks, but very hesitant
What is a warehouse sale? Like Costco?
I’ve only tried the 12 yr, now I need to buy the 15 yr if I see it on sale under $100, or store picks. The 12 yr for me was a bit too oaky and not sweet enough to balance the oak. Still a good tasting bourbon though, just not one I would buy again.
Love the 12 yr., love the SB store picks (I've had two), and the 9 yr. is hard to beat. Looking for more SB store picks.
Dillon, I love you, man 🤣 “100, they’re low proof”
KC makes some best bang-for-buck around. Lucky enough to have tried all these but 15 yr. have to say that indeed, that 14/120 pick from 2yrs ago was STELLAR. Probably my best single bottle that year. Whats the name of that intro song? It's fire.
It's actually a song Dutch composed for the intro!
@@CuriosityPublic thanks sick!
Which one these would you guys say is the sweetest on the palate in regards to the brown sugars, cinnamon, and vanilla? Thanks.
Probably the store picks. The 15 year has a good sweetness to it as well, but less of a bright sugar hit.
these dudes always feel like an improv troupe
3:30 excellent point
love my barrel pick
Would you put the 15y over the 25th anniversary. Basically im in a situation to buy a 12 or 15 or 25 ann or the 2001. Which would you recommend
The 15 has a lot of depth and unique flavors. That said, if you like higher proof, the 25th is great. The 12yr is a great bargain though. So, depends what you like, but my favorite is probably the 15yr.
I always thought Dillion was sitting. I also believe Chicago is getting screwed if any of these prices are true in California.

Where’s my boy Ben???
I read he moved to Germany. Probably enjoying Bratwurst
@@rangeradams 😦
In Ontario Canada I paid $150 for the Knob Creek 12 year 🙄
Also I just checked it out, but apparently ALL Knob Creek offerings are non chill filtered.
Need to add the 9-year Single Barrel 120 proof.
Ace the young drunk to the right of the bar!
Kidding of course! Can't get rid of the 3rd Musketeer! Lol!
Super informative review
Dillon need a small bottle with a dropper of 95 ABV grain with a dropper, like normal people do with water
No maple? 🍁
👍❤️

Where’s the butcher???
Wtf??? You guys started a new channel and didn't let us know after the Guild dissolved?
"Dude, stewed fruit dude. Dude, stone fruit dude. Jam Fruit dude" You guys might want to take water breaks in between glasses eh?
100 proof is low? Damn lol!
I bet Dillon got punched before for trying to be a know all.
So 100 proof is low proof and 9 years is young age.
Alrighty then...
Oh yes, three members of the 'Bourbon Guild'. The ones that rate the label, not the whiskey.
News flash: No one cares.
