i did a madza 3 41v with ppg global formular call for a bronze with a slight red metallic follow by 2 different solid red an binder painted hood,front bumper blending into left front fender,right front fender blending into right front door easy color to paint.when i am trying to control the spray like what you did with the grey i turn the nozzel more easy that way for me

Mix step 1 and step 2 of the color to make a smoother transition of your blend (as you showed in one of you videos on white pearl). About 1 part step 1 and 2 parts of step 2. Then blending colors like these will be much easier... My experience is that the metallics will be too visible in the blend if you do not do a transition coat like that... Cool if this would work for you, and you could make a video of it :) Greetings from Norway!

Nice job Gabe 👍🏾I notice the handle holes not masked up? Don’t you get over spray sucked in the car? I use 3m dart foam in those. It really holds the clear from sagging and helps keep any grease from blowing out or accidental wiped with the tack rag. Also works great if you can’t get to the back side. Thanks for your videos
Me and the other painter sprayed a trike in that colour mazda soul red and it looked mint just one hair and 2 dust nibs in the entire job but ours had a tinted clear maybe a diffrence in europ and north america anyways great video i can't wait to be back in the booth in a couple of days 😉
no runners with that amount of clearcoat? im a painter to! we use sikkens lv clear. sprayed with pre heated air. i cannot spray to thick because the heated air makes the paint even smoother? are you familiair with preheated air???

We have the tint. We ordered it when the car came in. Its a tinted clear too. But the base has that leafing aluminium that you use in 46G and nissan KAB

No ppmr has mid coat. Not tinted clear but it's a similar effect

Nice work Gab, why didn’t you use a let down panel to determine the number of mid coats you need for coverage value shade?
Because I've done this color before and I checked it with old cards I had but I recommend you should always do a card

Do you ever have an issue seeing inside the booth? Since you only have lights up high and no lights on the side

I thought 41v soul red is supposed to have a pink basecoat with tinted clear? Did mazda change that at the factory?

You can put a little alcohol in the water base to make it dry faster
I notice when you apply the coat of base you sometimes go back to back. Do you consider that one coat or two?
