    I lost it all years ago with the starch solution and i never gained it back!! I ditched all the processed stuff, oils and sugar too. I absolutely love that way of eating, real food, natural. I was addicted to hummus, peanut butter and tahini, but lets face it....its too calorie dense, and its hard to control. Now i eat a lot of legumes and i create so many meals with them that i never miss out of fake meats.

    Every time I make the scrambled tofu (always with a healthy amount of greens) I always question why it isn't on rotation. It is REALLY easy to make, pretty cheap and tastes amazing! Though, I usually add some hashbrowns into the mix, too (last time I made homemade fries, that were marinaded in buffalo sauce and it was a great addition)

    I relate, I had enjoyed a little too much vegan junk food & gained about 10 lbs so I randomly saw a whole foods plant based channel (no oil or overt fats) and anyway I lost the weight following many of the ideas & recipes.

    Yes we don't want to have excessive weight and we need to restrict/avoid junk processed foods to avoid putting on extra weight.       Oh same!
      I gained a HUUUGE amount during the last 5 years. Depression and some other things happened so badly and I gained like 40kg..
      But(!) I started to get back!
      Started in May and lost almost 10kg until end of June. Then the usual thing happened.. Birthday, many take-aways and w/e. Haven't done anything for myself the last 3 weeks but today was Day 1 again! I'll continue again.
      You can do this aswell, I'll cheer for ya!

    This is what I like to do, lower unhealthy fats, up the protein and veg and keep it easy - I'm planning on making a canned Jackfruit and Kidney Bean Curry for dinner later, healthy and easy, pantry based and cheap :)

    I really like the way you are cooking pasta, makes me way more likely to cook myself a pasta dish with red lentil pasta and make regular pasta for everyone else. Also love the zucchini in the pasta to make it go further, that's brilliant. Thanks for that visual. I need to clean my kitchen so I can do a huge veg prep so cooking good food will be easier.

    For tacos, i use tvp (textured vegetable protein). It has loads of protein. I also use it in bolognese and chili beans.

    I was eating a vegan high protein diet, and switched to a wholefoods high carb low fat (moderate protein) and I think the old school 2015 high carb low fat diet is better for weight loss tbh as long as you eat a lot of vegetables along with it and limit refined carbs. But do whatever works for you. Also my running is better with high carb low fat.

      if you're a runner, that totally makes sense! I still eat pretty high carb, but more of a balance, I guess? I can def not do low carb. For me, if I eat high carb and low protein, I am literally starving all the time even when I eat a TON of food. Like if I just eat rice, it does not fill me up. I need protein with it!!

    I need to get back on track so badly ! I definitely think bulking up on low calorie foods is key ! I also love your idea of using zucchini to bulk up your pasta so you can use less noodles !

    I’m going through pre menopause and feel a little thick in the middle while also having some new back pain and tiredness. I haven’t gained much weight, but I’ve definitely gotten into a cycle of not eating my best and being a bit lazy, which makes everything worse. I need a reset too!

    I used Complement for about 3 years and loved the product… but after several missed or delayed shipments (but still being charged) for various reasons, I had to break up with them. Bummed me out because it’s a high quality product.

      nope alcohol is why i gain weight LMFAO but when I'm actively trying to lose weight, I try to have less or less caloric choices... so hard though LOL

    How could kombucha be without sugar when main thing to make kombucha is sugar to feed the kombucha mushroom (scoby)? We make it ourself and you have to put sugar of some sort otherwise you can't make kombucha 🤷‍♂️

    How does one start running without dying? lol, tips on how to start running?

      I'd start with walking. Over time increase your pace til you're at a high-speed walk, then increase to a light jog that's barely faster than your highest-pace walk. This is all over the span of a month or longer to work your way up! My husband has done it and started jogging and now I'm starting walking too! Someday I'll be at jogging like he is!

    Notes I agree with: Bulking up your meals with low calorie dense veggies! Drink plenty of water, protein protein protein! Ugh, I wasn’t eating any, and I wondered why I was hungry constantly,Ps: I’m back to eating 2MAD cause I was experiencing allot of bloating, and it helps with that, cause your body isn’t constantly digesting, it’s in fat burning mode (aka ketosis) 💕

    You almost convinced me to eat lots of ramen and larger servings but I didn’t. I’m not vegan but cut way back on meat of all kind. Also I have to be careful with my grandmothers recipes because they all start with “use two sticks of butter”. It’s hard to be a food guru and not put on a few pounds.

    I sometimes wonder how many people come across one of your videos (not subscribers) & feel confused when you randomly turn Australian. 😂😂 I do the same thing, but usually British or Southern American. I find the Australian accent to be very difficult to imitate, but you do a great job. 👏👏👏

    Wait til you reach your late 30s, lol. I am 5 foot 3. Until I was about 38, I weighed about 115. Then, between 38 and 43, I gained about 15 lbs. I'm 46 now, and I'm at about 128. I'm trying to get my weight back to 115. It's not easy. My metabolism has changed, and I don't lose weight as fast. I'm at the point where I'm focusing on health quality over just losing weight.

      @asainangel5400 April Whitney has her own TH-cam channel and she also has her own business focusing on healthy eating and exercise for woman 5' 4" and under that maybe worth checking out and trying since it recommends lifting weights for at least 30 minutes for 3 to 5 days a week along with low intense cardio like walking and eating at least 100lbs of protein a day along with 30g to 40g of fiber a day and some healthy fats thrown in the meals as well.

      ⁠@@rebeccaw1108The low-fat whole foods plant based diet is not made for women 5' 4" and under at all, meaning it does not take into consideration the slower metabolism that a lot of women 5'4" and under have naturally that makes it more difficult for us to loose weight and when we get to our ideal weight to help us keep the weight we lost for the rest of our lives.

      @@rebeccaw1108Excuse me. What I was told is that protein has to be the main part of any meal, then fiber and finally healthy fats. April Whitney is a 5’1” woman who came up with a certain eating and exercise plan that allows women 5’4” and under to eat more while exercising less, by doing for weight training. She did not state doing a high carb diet at all.

      I looked at the Canada version I just included soy because it was in the allergies section. But sadly it has milk. I love soy.

      We all make mistakes I been plant based for six years and sometimes I buy stuff wrong but I try my hardest not to. And I donate my errors to my neighbor and since I order groceries to my home since I don’t have a car I get stuff I didn’t order so my neighbor loves the bonus food.

      @@lasvegasbeet yeah the fat in the title is so unneccessary. she's criticising herself so publically and then when she loses some weight she makes a lot of content about being in her fitness era. and then the cycle begins again. the fat is so triggering and also very sad. her body is so normal and straight sized, she always looks so beautiful and that has nothing to do with her weight. i feel sad for her that she so publically makes it seem like gaining weight is the most awful thing and that her body is almost ugly with the thumbnails as well. makes me so sad. i hope she can love her body more

      It doesn't feel like you're concerned for her. You sound condescending af. Some people do not want to gain fat as it's unhealthy. That's it. It's not the worst thing in the world to be fat and nowhere does she say that in the video. As for the cycle, most people gain and lose weight thru the course of their life due to various reasons and it's pretty normal. Her diet is well balanced too. 🤷🏼

These videos just keep people in this nasty cycle of self hatred in the guise of self improvement

      @@Jay-vz7ogBeing fat is not inherently unhealthy. Studies have shown weight is not necessarily an indicator of health. Look it up. Also, Rose wasn’t even anywhere near fat .
