    Am I the only one who cried when he started talking about the future you hugging you and thanking you. It really triggered an emotional response. So often we neglect ourselves when really we should take care of ourselves and love ourselves because we are deserving. I love everyone who reads this. We will get through this. We are strong, safe and all the good things in life. Take care of yourselves especially through this uncertain time period ❤️

      Yes.... never happened to me before... this is the first meditation that has ever brought this emotion up and out... wow... and I was completely all in and focused this time around. I will be trying this one again where I can be complete relaxed and not distracted.

      I know that. I have suffered crippling panic attacks in the past.it gets better as you work on releasing fear.
      I took anti depressants to keep functioning
      I have cut back on that and I have learned to cope. I use kratom to help when I have a really hard time. Stay away from alcohol
      Find others to talk to, don’t struggle alone

      maria christodoulou keep doing it. meditation lessens the activation of the amygdala which is responsible for anxiety and fear. over time It actually shrinks the amygdala. i hope you get better asap

    At the end of this meditation I stayed where I was. All of the sudden I was in my classroom in first grade. Pleading and begging the teacher to let me stay inside with her. This time the teacher held my hand and walked me back out to the playground. She told me I had the power to turn the boys into love that were terrorizing me. I waved my hand and they turned to dust. When I opened my eyes I felt such gratitude and love for those boys. They were and had been a part of me this whole time. Holy wow! Thank you for this ! So so much ! I’m so filled with gratitude I’m moved to tears ! Much love to you!

      we could also think of all the meditations that have come before the one that fell into synch with you, were helping your mind to figure out what it needed, and the language of self-care. The entire path is helpful

    I felt anxious because it’s Christmas and I get anxiety on how I act, talk, and appear in front of people. Especially being perceived by a big group of people. Even though I’ve been rejected and judged in the past, there are many more people who admire and love talking to me. I don’t want to feel stupid or humiliated anymore. I’m calmer after listening ❤️❄️

      Been there man. After a few years of experience I no longer have full blown panics. I always try to remember than all these previous times I started panicking it eventually turned out fine and I was happy some time after and forgot about it. Maybe it helps you too idk.

      Hang in there man. Its been a tough battle for me too lately. Not sure what's going on. I litterly go to bed at midnight and im up every fucking morning at 2:30-3am feeling claustrophobic to breathe.. its the weirdest thing.. then my mind starts going and before I know it I'm fucked for the day.. im starting to learn to put down alcohol and start being positive and active outdoors! Meditation definitely helps as well!

    What a powerful meditation. I lost my mother to cancer two years ago, taking care of her till the very end. It gave me PTSD. The idea of cutting the rope had me sobbing, but the phrase “it is safe for you to let go” just hit straight home. I guess letting go feels like a crime, but I don’t have to feel guilty about surviving. And also the “you are doing good” was perfect. Thank you.

      I went through the same, having struggled with PTSD for 7 years prior to my mom dying of misdiagnosed cancer that was only identified the day before she died (when she was already in a coma, so no opportunity for closure). The circumstances might be different but I understand the scale of your loss and I’m very sorry you had to go through a similar experience.
      I’m not sure if it helps, but I’ve also been often told to “let go” with only vague descriptions as to what it means, as if it’s a simple mental process to magically free yourself of all burdens and trauma. For the longest time I felt tremendous conflict as I didn’t want to let go of any part of my mom as it may somehow invalidate her existence out of a selfish desire to move on and leave her behind.
      Ultimately, I realized that it’s impossible to let go of her as everything she was to me still is, as those memories and experiences are forever in my heart. She influenced me in so many ways, and I still see elements of her in my own thoughts and behavior - so I don’t believe it’s possible to truly let go of the ones we love without sacrificing a part of our own identity; most likely, core parts that influence us in the best ways.
      Your mom will always be with you in some way, as much as mine is with me. You don’t need to let go if you choose to take her with you - the *best* of her that left it’s mark on you - into a future filled with all the joy, calm, and success anyone who truly loves you would want you to achieve. You can validate everything she contributed to your life and give her existence meaning by being the best version of yourself you can be.
      We’re not anchored by the past in its entirety, only certain parts of it. If healing’s a journey we can pack our bags appropriately, leaving behind what we don’t need and taking with us what we cherish most that will benefit us in future. Whatever path works best for you, please remember that no matter how far it may be it’s only a matter of time before you arrive, as long as you keep going. Sincerely wishing the best for you in future, stay strong.

    I was in a toxic relationship the first time I heard this. The “future you” part shattered me in such a beautiful way. Ten months later my life has completely changed. I chose life. And I can thank my self for taking care of me. My future me and past me are one.

    Five years ago I was at my worst. My anxiety back then was terrible but it got better for a while after meditating and going to therapy for a while. Now it is back just like last time, so I am also returning to this meditation, seeking comfort even for a few minutes. I also started therapy again, realising that I shouldn't have stopped that early. To everyone out there who is struggling, keep on fighting. Even if it takes years to get better just don't give up. And remember to check on your loved ones and people who struggle mentally❤️

    my daughters derelization has been affecting her lately, she has ptsd from a past episode she had and she has been struggling very badly, she’s 13 years old. I’ve been pushing her to try to be stronger for herself and giving her all of the support she needs, and I’ve realized meditation has helped her so much. It completely masks her anxiety, and she’s able to feel at ease even if It’s for 5 minutes, I’m so grateful to have people like us in the comments to know that we are not alone. I pray my daughter will realize she isn’t either, and that this anxiety is curable.

    I haven’t slept in over 70 hours and I was having a mental break down and crying for over an hour on my floor in the middle of the room hugging myself in the sweat and tears I created and I needed this so much. Insomnia is not the greatest thing ever and I almost slept in this. Ah this is what I needed

    Since October 2016 I've been in a dark place... My fianceé cheated on me, on May my mom passed away and then on September my sister was killed on an earthquake.
    It's been quite a ride but once you started to talk about the anchor I swear to God I saw my ex at the other side of the rope... And for the first time in 2 years I feel truly amazing. Thank you so much, honestly, thank you.

      Julaify I know that darkness. My mom also passed away young and unexpectedly then my brother ended up in a coma/vegetative state in June. I’ve been feeling the worst depression of my life.     This is the second time I’ve used this mediation - last time i shook and cried when asked to let go. Today - 2/22/22 (my birthday) I returned because this was meaningful and the 22:22 length caught my attention. Today when asked to let go, i felt calm.. at ease… and then i sneezed.       I had the sane Problem. And i am doing a mentalttaining . Positiv thoughts with Visualization and sensing these thoughts with all my 5 senses . I recommend subconscious mind reprogramming. Just read about law of attraction and stuff like that. 6-12 weeks and all fears panic attacks and anxiety should be gone forever, but u have to do it daily

    This is the first time I’ve ever really tried to mediate. I’m 20 years old, starting out my career and am someone who hates change and has a lot of anxiety and self hate so it’s been really stressful for me. I’m always down on myself and never believe I’m good enough at anything. minutes in and I burst into tears right before you say it’s okay to shed tears and some people do 😅then I cried harder!       Self loathing really is a bitch... It's like a feedback loop where you want to be better so you punish yourself, but in doing so you actually drag yourself down and limit your ability to recover.
      It took me longer than you've been alive to learn to forgive myself and I'm still bad at it.
      Remember that you're probably not as bad as you think you are and that other people don't hold themselves to the same standards. So, keep your standards high, but learn to view things as lessons. It sounds difficult to simply view failings as lessons, but the alternative of ruminating will only bring you down.
      Every day strive to be better than the last, and that's really all you can do :)

      Yeh I have this. I wonder if its some sort of disorder. Only relief I got was when I was drunk. So obviously that lead to alcoholism . Now im 2 years sober and slowly rebuilding. Getting somewhere but yeh its tough!!

    Husband just out of ICU with Covid-19. My symptoms were mild. The past three weeks have been anchor, after anchor and it took a long time to cut through that rope.     I have been struggling for the past two months to feel anything. I have not been able to laugh , smile, or cry even though I wanted to. I had the urge today to cry and I just could not. There are so many things going on in my life that are weighing me down and it is easy put on a show for those around me, when in reality I feel disconnected to everyone.
    I came here hoping to find a sign that everything is going to be ok and I got it. I cried like I’ve never cried before and that anchor was cut loose tonight. I saw my future self and who I want to be and I am not going to let anything hold me back this time. I will always return to this when I feel like giving up. Thank you for saving me from myself.

    I'm currently going through a tough phase in life. I tried to meditate using this video... and oh my, I never expected for me to cry so hard along the way.. Our inner strength is the most valuable element during tough times. Thank you for this video. It really touched me deep down.

    What a POWERFUL meditation!!! My feet literally started TINGLING right before he SAID that some people feel that. When I saw my future self coming to greet me, I STARTED TO SMILE SOOO BIG!! I ACTUALLY felt compelled to HUG MYSELF which brought the tears, AGAIN. THIS WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Added to Favorites, FOR SURE. I typically don't even LIKE guided meditations.     I never thought about my future self being thankful to me. But it's no different than raising a child. Being caring and compassionate and loving to myself makes so much since. And yes it's an extremely emotional moment when you realize you are worthy of your own love. Thank you.

    I can't believe I'm going to write this but, I just started truly committing to myself and created a self care routine daily including yoga meditation visualization. I never used to be able to do it consistently especially yoga but now I seek it out and I always read of people crying on these comments or feeling it and I never did until tonight. I cried a heck of a lot at the beginning that breathing was hard lol but it felt so good and freeing. This shadow work, it's hard but necessary

    Kenneth, I am a widow who has suffered from depression. There were times when you were pretty much the only person who can get into the dark recesses of my mind and pull me out. Knowing that we are meant to love our being is such a surprise that it can even seem painful as we think of how little we have held ourselves in compassion. Being the conduit from inside to outside , letting it go, the pain will subside.

    Thank you so much for this. I was feeling down lately I feel useless and questioning my decisions in life. I am only 20 years old yet I feel like I am running out of time. This adulting world is a shock. I’ve been anxious about what my future holds. This really helped me I was in tears when my future self embraced me. I’ve never cried in meditation before.

      I started to feel that way around your age, and one thing that made me feel better was knowing that, after discussions with those who are 60+ that they don't really even know wtf they're doing either, nor do they have any real answers. Really, thinking we should have more time than we have is an illusion. We set up expectations for how our lives should be instead of feeling gratitude for the gifts which have already been given to us. This life is a gift and the best we can do is to express gratitude every day, even for the traumatic things. We're all part of something bigger than ourselves, the purpose of which unknown. Our job is to experience and to express and feel to our full potential, pain, love and joy.

    Thank you for this , i was beating myself up only minutes ago over my past mistakes and embarrassments. It was all pent up anger and regret and i really appreciate this video a lot as it helped me let go. I AM HEALING.       PEACE 💝I want to you to accept my hug also. We ALL have made mistakes & at times beat ourselves up, but don't. Because NOT ONE IS PERFECT.
      But, the wise grow up & you have. Live & Learn is at times the only option.
      Look to your higher power for guidance and you will succeed. I believe in you.
      My brother taught me to drive & told me, "I couldn't drive looking in my rear view mirror".
      Think about life, that way. It's okay to glance in the rear view mirror, however, we can't drive forward, if, we are stairing into the rear view mirror.

    I teared up at that part of meeting my future self. I could imagine her saying “girl, everything’s gonna be okay, and you’re doing great, let go of all the worries”
    I bursted getting a hug from myself. And it was something i truly needed.

    This is by far the most powerful meditation i ever did . I’m currently about to undergo an abortion procedure , I realized certain people in my life was not healed and caused me not to move forward in life … i have to let them go . I cried and cried and I let go ! I feel so peaceful now and I will definitely listen to this DAILY . As part of my healing experience. Thank you so much 💕💕💕

    This video was amazing. My eyes where watering. And when the video said "some people even cry"...
    Tears just started flowing down.
    But it wasn't tears of worry or pain. It was happy years. I felt all the stress being cut away.
    And for these 20 minutes I felt at peace.

    i overcame my anxiety a couple months ago and now it came back again but i have grown stronger from the previous experience so i want to share some of the tips i learned:
    1. putting ice on my neck and chest area helps my anxiety/ panic attacks.
    2. when you notice yourself letting go of reality (stuck in your loop of thoughts) start looking for 5 things u can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing u can taste .
    3. during anxiety attack think of names that start with every letter
    4. "breathing colors"- inhale a color exhale a different one while imagining ping pong balls floating in the ocean and moving altogether on the waves.
    5. the song "here comes a thought" from steven universe really helps my attacks and anxiety in general
    6. research tapping for anxiety and fear
    7. learn about the vagus nerve and how to stimulate it. its basically how the body stores stress and anxiety and how it could have many effects. there are many easy ways to stimulate and heal it :)
    8. learning to not be afraid of panic attacks. i have only had anxiety attacks and no panic attacks since then but its mainly because im not in fear of panic attacks anymore which takes practice. first understand that panic attacks come with physical symptoms shaking, nausea, crying, fast heart rate, tight throat and chest, and feeling of i am literally gonna die right now. the only thing keeping u in that state of panic is the thought of impending doom. but 1 minute in u can probably recognize the physical symptoms and say to yourself oh im having a panic attack. u can sit yourself somewhere alone and quiet (i know its hard) and realize that the attack is uncomfortable but it wont kill me. these symptoms will go away in about 10 minutes. trying to avoid and run away from the panic makes it worse so although it sounds hard accepting it is better, will calm u down, and hopefully avoid any attacks in the future.
    9. thoughts are like clouds, with practice you can learn to watch them float away instead of raining on you.
    10. when you are feeling fear shift back to a place of love
    i hope this can help someone out there. i know i will get through this again and hopefully future me will be doing better

    This was so empowering and the best guided meditation I’ve listened to. At the beach, I found my dad who passed away 11 months ago, and my grandma who passed away 4 months ago on each side of me as I watched the anchor and rope disappear. As i started to walk they stayed back and I could feel them urging me on. Before he even said your future self I knew I was there- that embrace had me crying, it was so emotional and beautiful. I was supposed to listen to this meditation for a reason today. Intuition is so powerful. ❤️

    My anxiety is this, everytime i close my eyes my mind thinks that there is an earthquake. My feet started to chill and my heart beats faster and im sweating. Having hard time sleeping. Sometimes, i am over reacting. Even its just a normal chest pain, my mind goes crazy thinking that its a covid. I am over thinking. I been drinking all night just get some sleep but it becomes worst. Ive been an alchocol dependent just to get through this. This day is the worst, im lack of sleep and i need to work. During my break i tried to get some sleep and look for anxiety meditation and i found this. I got some sleep while listening to his voice even its just a couple of minutes. I found a relief. I hope that i can overcome my anxiety from this day on. Help me god

      I know it feels like it wont get better when things are really bad, but just remember that we have been here before and we will get better again. One advice i once heard is to let the anxiety come to you and not resist it, look at those thoughts like they are just thoughts, and they are not you and they dont define you. Were going to be okay

    This is now my regular meditation daily. I love the cord cutting, I love seeing the new me hugging the old me and becoming one and within minutes I have Chi tingling in my arms and fingers. It feels so good. I like guided meditations and this one is my favorite. I can heal my inner child, do shadow work and relax. Ty so much. 🙏💚
