Ordered a 2024 MX-5 Club soft top with the Brembo brakes / BBS wheels & Recaro seats on April 22nd waited 4.5 months - September 5th was when it finally arrived at the dealer - bought the same day ! Traded in my 2016 Club soft top with the same package except cloth hammock style seats. What really makes the car better over the 2016 ND1 is not the driving experience. I actually think my 2016 ND1 felt better on the Michelin super sport tires ( Summer Performance ) than my 2024 ND3 Club. Where the 2024 ND3 has an improved Asymmetrical Differential / the Kinetic Posture Control system but even more important is Alexa understanding my destination voice commands & automatically putting into Google Maps ( giving a text display in the far right corner of the directions ) 20 seconds later its routed the trip displaying it on screen ! The 2016 navigation system ( bought SD on EBAY ) no longer got updates & was quirky to use all manual inputs ! Never thought I'd be giving a high 5 to Alexa for being so good ! The new infotainment system makes me a safer driver on trips I've never been before. Was never expecting this as another Mazda improvement !
This man is my fave youtuber. Ive been a sub since when he had around 500 people. I bought the same car after him, just a red club with Brembo/BBS/Recaro. I then bought the same steering as my man (different color), the same exhaust and shift knob. I got the diffuser (this time beat my man to it lol). Im looking at my 24 MX5 in the garage as we speak
@QueTheChaotic Versus! Its removed the parachute effect of the rear with the smaller exhaust and looks mean. MCS coilovers next. Those 3 mods were amazing, the shifter feels soo good and made the shifting soo smooth. The exhaust sounds amazing
The RF has decent wind noise with the roof down and the windows down at highway speeds. Under 65mph it's not bad but above that it's more annoying. But with the windows up it's pretty manageable until the triple digits and at that point I'm wanting to let off anyways. But I totally concur on the Miata being special. The way the car dances with you and really the whole experience is on another level. It's totally broken my perception of what a sports car is and should be. I used to lust for the typical high hp, expensive cars but now I'm addicted to the miata. M.iata I.s A.lways T.he A.nswer. Also @Gibson is awesome. Prime Miata content.
The top down wind buffeting is the reason I passed on the RF. It does looks amazing, but it's deafening above 60 and annoying even at lower speeds. I put 6000 miles on my GT soft top this summer and I'm so glad I went that route. I love the simplicity and the fact that it's a true roadster, not to mention the bargain price.

Own a BRZ (2nd gen), but the Miata is absolutely special. Didn’t get a Miata because of practicality, but 160-170 HP to the wheels in a car this light is absolutely all business on a track or winding roads. One thing this car does not need is more power that’s for sure. Good review 🫡

Should be picking up my ND3 club BBR in a couple weeks! Excited to see which sway bay you going with. The Karcepts bar looks easier to install if you cut the stock one. Not sure if it’s worth keeping the stock one, it’s not like I would go through the hassle of reinstalling it in the future. Love the Miata mod content
Crazy man I am literally working on selling my 1LE right now to get an ND3 the feedback you have is exactly my reasoning so its good to hear! Getting impatient lol

Also just want to save money on insurance, fuel, oil. It adds up. I’ll sell you mine tho for a good deal!
The best performance all-season tire on the market is the Michelin CrossClimate2 It's even three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) rated for winter. I don't plan to drive my ND3 in winter, but I had these on my previous gen WRX and they performed as well as the Michelin X-Ice I had previously in the snow, but still brings sporty performance on cold dry pavement. Plus they have a 60000 mile warranty, designed to maintain the same level of performance through the lifespan. From now on I will use the CC2 instead of winter tires.
‘24 soul red GT. I’m the hand in its glove! Love it love it love it! One small complaint, inner liner refuses to hook up with the top of rear window. Once it gets to cold for top down I’ll put it back and it’ll stay all winter. Not a biggie, just a little annoying. Other than that, my dream car, bought in large part due to your enthusiastic reviews. Nice again!
I added leather brake and shift boots, a Kenstyle steering wheel, a shift knob like yours, and an armrest in my ND Club. It really upscaled the interior. Upgrading what you see and touch is a good thing and leather smells nice.
GR86 is a more serious and better setup sports car stock. However, MX5 (I own a 24 club) has much better engine and inputs (steering feel, shifter, throttle, brake feel), adjustments (double wishbones), agility and its area of weakness (body roll) is easily fixed. Two of the best sports cars ever made. Seriously. Ive drive tons over 30 years
The body roll is not a weakness & was purposely added to let drivers know you reached the limits without killing them. Also gives you a better handling experience on the back roads by not punishing you. Look at the Brian Maske video where he interviews North American Design engineer Dave Coleman in a Q & A session not to be missed if your a MX-5 owner ! 😎
@ag4allgood I hear you brother, as a 23 BBS owner here the first thing I did was change the suspension to a stage 2 Goodwin set up and sway bars all around. I now enjoy the car and feel confident on the turns.

I have a GT ND2 RF 2023. Can’t agree more with your comments on the miata. It is an amazing car. I have a second set of wheels with Blizzaks for the winter and the car handles very well for winter city driving in Chicago. I have to say, the ride quality decreases substantially with those ice tires. Perhaps Michelin might have more comfortable ride on ice tires with alpine 4 tires.
As a used car tech who gets to drive a shit ton of fun cars, the Miata is one of my all time favorites. I took a 200 mile round trip beach drive, 53 mph set on cruise control, top down, 46 mpg. It was wonderful. I have a base model, and it's soft enough that it is squeamish under full throttle and full braking, but it still corners extremely predictably. It's very unpredictable however in slides though, with the short wheel base, soft suspension, and open dif. I'm happy it's got solid traction control, you can still slide it around enough to notice it too, which is good for learning. I'm curious what it'll be like in the rain...
When I first saw the title of this episode, I thought, "Uh-oh, trouble in paradise." Then you started talking. All I can say is, What a sweet problem to have!

Good video dude.🎉
I've got a set of 16" NB wheels with Nokian WRs. (G3? G4?) It's a winter rated all-season, so it's an OK winter tire but not a squirrelly mess in the cold and dry.
Nice review…I have an ND2, which is delightful, I have no issues with the standard steering wheel, I actually prefer the original thinner diameter wheel, love the car as is no upgrades planned.
Congrats on the Miata. I'm trying to figure out what to get next. Leaning towards a Miata. I sold my Elantra N 6 speed a couple months ago. I enjoyed that car but I couldn't get over the looks. I believe you have to own a car that looks good to appreciate it and to keep it for a long time. I know it's all under warranty but my main concern is the transmission, I hear people having synchro issues with the 2021 to 2023s I'm not sure if it's going into the 2024s as well... Something to be aware of. Not sure how common it is.
I always feel like I’m going faster than I am in the MX5. So much fun to drive it fast or slow. Just hit 4100 miles on my 2022 GT. The dealership asked if I would sell it back to them when I took it for its first oil change. I said no way.
Bro I feel like I’m just playing catch-up. I’m a month or two away from getting my ITS, but seeing how much love there is for the Miata I dream of one day making that my second car. One year maybe but for now I can only do a daily driver. Was so sad you had to give up your ITS but it sucks you had such a terrible dealer experience man I was so mad for you. But now that you rank it below your top 3 hope I won’t have any regrets with it when I get mine 😭
Where you live you probably need a snow tire. But for the last 10 years I have been putting All-Season Continental Extreme Contact DSG 06 on every car of mine. I love this tire and I have tried everything. I have a garage full of cars and I wish I never drove the Honda S2000. I can't quit thinking about it.
I deeply miss my 2020 Miata GT. Careless driver took her away from me. Had to go with a bigger car as my needs have changed over the years. At least I got something I've wanted since their release, 2019 ALFA Romeo Giulia Ti sport Q4.
Coming from an ND1 owner im 18, and i do happen to drive like im 18, and i get 30.5 mpgs, i go to car meets i go for late night drives, rpms are up and pedal is down often, i still get better gas than most people trying to get good gas mileage
I just wish they slight lifts to avoid the pot holes. I think this car and a cheap CX30 would be a killer combo for most people that really want a bang for their buck. Lol
Just sold my ND2 2023 RF club for a 22 ZL1 Camaro I miss the Miata handling, looks and size. But I am enjoying the Huge power bump on the ZL1. Still getting used to the boat size of the Camaro 😂
great review, felt way more down to earth than many others. Interesting stuff you note in here about other cars offering more but being less fun, i’m curious if you’ve owned any older BMW’s? like e30, e34, e36 or even e46. Sounds like you’re coming mostly from newer cars?
I actually own an E34 that I'm gonna bring on the channel soon. I had an E39 M5 too. Infiniti G35S. All manual. I have owned a lot of cars but I only talk about the recent ones I've owned in the last 4 years on the channel. I really want an E28. I settled on the E34
Man I always feel some type a way whenever I see these Miata videos because I'm legit like the biggest Mazda fan ever it's my favorite company out of all the car manufacturers but Mazda freaking refuses to build a sports car that I can fit into! Come on Mazda please build a version of the Miata that someone 6'6" can fit into comfortably? Or at least build a Mazdaspeed6 with the turbo inline 6 and a manual gearbox... Sigh sorry fam just head to get that off my chest, that being said dope video I can tell you really enjoy your Miata (Wish I was able to enjoy one too!).
I have a 2015 honda accord v6 coupe in manual, I love my car to bits and some of you guys might hate me for this but man Im really considering getting a miata and trading it in for my coupe.
I had a NC2 Miata that I sold when I moved back to the midwest. I still miss the car regularly. I bought the GR Corolla Circuit for the AWD. Since then, I got a Ford Maverick AWD, and I'm considering swapping my GR Corolla for a ND3. Since you've had both now, what do you think?
I traded in the GRC for the Miata😅. I really enjoyed driving the GRC but since you have a maverick, the Miata is what I would choose. Or sell the Maverick lol
Earlier today my neighbor showed me the inside of his maybach and I had a moment to myself and realized how much it can benefit a car to be as simple as it can be He told me the transmission was failing and the cost to fix it would’ve been $8K without warranty and you know what car wouldn’t have problems like that? A Miata.
Weird thing, do you have any problems with the headrest speakers during a call i got my 24 2 weeks ago after my 21 was totaled and the headrest speakers don't activate in a call, you can hear music through them if you change the fader settings.
Owner of an FL5 Type R here. Also an owner of a ‘22 Miata. To give some reference, I’ve owned my FL5 for 9 months…it has 1200 miles on it. I can’t stop driving the Miata. It’s a special car and easily the most fun you can have at legal speeds. I’ll sell my FL5 before the Miata.
I would buy a 2024/2025 RF 6-MT version if it was available in Polymetal Gray Metallic (Carbon Edition color), but just not personally a fan of any of the current MX-5 color choices.
Enjoy it! There is the modding, club aspect, Miatafreak. I do suggest not to drive it in the winter not because of the car BUT because of others that will hit you. Get winter press cars if you can. Peace.

I liked this car very much until I saw that the payload limit was only 340 lbs. My weight is 220 lbs, and my wife's is 160 lbs. Our combined weight is 380 lbs, which is 40 lbs over the payload limit, and this is without any luggage. It looks like this car is meant only for the driver. Adding any passenger will exceed the payload limit, which is ridiculous and makes no sense. At the very minimum, the payload should be at least 500 lbs.
Don't put snow tires on that car. I did first year I had one. It was fine in the snow but I no longer loved driving it. I live in RI so if it snows I don't drive it. If it's 40 or above clear road I do and if it's sunny top down heat on. When the initial set of tire wore out I replaced with Michelin summer I think pilot sport
@@QueTheChaotic It ruined the thing that makes the miata great which is handling. I guess it depends on your situation. I work remote and have access to my wife's car nights/weekends so I don't really need to drive the miata but when I drive it I want the fun factor even in the winter
@@QueTheChaotic Preesh home team. I want to enjoy this car but am afraid that much highway would tire me out. I can handle the stop and go with the manual, but the early ride in I'll see 70-80mph. I need to see if you've done a gr86 review, my next closest option..

@@jpking0 early congrats on the ITS! It pairs nicely with a Miata
Man I bought a ZL1 cause I was inspired by one of your videos, now I might grab a Miata. Looks so fun!
😅oops.
Just recently drove the GR Corolla had a blast with it. Think having a nd3 and GR Corolla would be the ultimate garage.
That would be an awesome pair. I should have kept mines
How do you only have 14.8k subs? This is some great content!
Thank you🫡
Hahaha, you scared the crap outta me. The car is fantastic!
Lol! That would have been horrible. The Miata has not disappointed.
Dude one of my favorite videos so far. I’m thinking one of these and a Scat Pack Charger as a combo?
Que,
Well.. Now we all know!!! Keep up the good work Sir!!🙏🏽👏🏾👊🏾💯
@@mcookxsh 🙏🏾will do!
Looks great and love the colour. 👍
I just wish they slight lifts to avoid the pot holes. I think this car and a cheap CX30 would be a killer combo for most people that really want a bang for their buck. Lol
2024 BRZ owner here, Secretly I dream about a Miata, probably not in this life time. Enjoy man
Glad you love it. I would own one if I was shorter
MORE SMILES per Miles 🙂
Wicked car great vid .. what you resting your arm on have you altered the centre bit just looks different. ??
It’s a Zymexx armrest. I highly recommend
Just sold my ND2 2023 RF club for a 22 ZL1 Camaro I miss the Miata handling, looks and size. But I am enjoying the Huge power bump on the ZL1. Still getting used to the boat size of the Camaro 😂
😆😆😆 gotta love the ZL1.
Que do you recommend the GR Corolla? Thinking of getting the 2025
Absolutely
great review, felt way more down to earth than many others.
The S2000 is the same way with the direct linkage shifter. It shakes too. They are great. You're spoiled now. Enjoy!
I have a 718 Spyder and he ain’t lying. Miata does edge it with funness.

Great video, actually how bad is the wind noise in the RF? I hear some many complaints on this, windows up make a difference?
It is terrible with the top down and windows up. I have a video driving the RF back to back with the soft top.
Man. I wish you could experience this
i miss my miata 2018 - 2023. FBO. blew the engine, transmission, and throttle body. 102k
Sheesh. Was it tuned?
I like driving rf without wind deflector. Seems quieter.
The Only category it Fails is Storage. If it was a Coupe, fixed roof, the space used for the retractes roof could have been used for storage.
8:00 super-charging or turbo-charging is not yet available for the ND3 because they put in a new ECU that is yet to be cracked
Crap! These new ECUs are making it difficult for a lot of cars
Great review once again! Have you ever test driven a Honda Civic SI? If so, what’s your thoughts about it.
I have. It was a couple years ago. I liked it minus the rev hang. I prefer the 2.0 L engine
You cant explain how good that car is you just have to drive one. i miss my ND2 rf
@@DMc-xs9gn facts
I have a 2015 honda accord v6 coupe in manual, I love my car to bits and some of you guys might hate me for this but man Im really considering getting a miata and trading it in for my coupe.
My mazdaspeed3 issuch a fun car to drive, but nothing like my nd 2 :) Love yours in that color
Thank you
Everyone needs to own a Miata.
i think they just cut the stock swaybars when I upgraded.
I didn’t know my boy was an engineer. 🎉

Que where did you get that shift knob. Thinking of getting it for my 23 ND.
MX5 Things. I highly recommend
You got to try the RF you will love it bro 👌🏿
I have a couple videos with it. It’s nice
ONCE AGAIN MUCH LOVE TO MY MAN QUE FOR THE SHOUT OUT🫂🫂🫂🫂
Absolutely! You got me about to make fire content. I prefer these types of videos.
YOUR CAR IS THE BEST MX5 rules ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽💯💯💯💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yessir!🫡
I know you can’t compare these 2 cars, BUT if you had to choose…Acura ITS or Mazda mx5 ND3?
I choose the Miata for fun factor. If I needed 1 car the ITS would be the best all arounder
I too have a problem with the Nd3 Miata.....
I DON'T HAVE ONE......😢😢😢😢
Is the bigger wheel setup more harsh than the 16 inch wheels? Is the stiffened suspension less fun than the standard? Which is the best spec for fun?
I haven’t driven in the 16s yet
It's a real drivers car, but people who cant take a corner will always holler about power!!
Did you just tint the 2 front windows or did you tint the rear glass too?
Rear glass and windshield
Earlier today my neighbor showed me the inside of his maybach and I had a moment to myself and realized how much it can benefit a car to be as simple as it can be
He told me the transmission was failing and the cost to fix it would’ve been $8K without warranty and you know what car wouldn’t have problems like that? A Miata.
Man. I already know how that is. My dream is an Audi R8. That stops me
@@QueTheChaotic nah…NOTHING stops you ‼️
Hey Q why'd you choose the GT over the club? Doesn't the club have the LSD and the BBR package?
The club does have those packages but rthe GT comes with an LSD too.
Weird thing, do you have any problems with the headrest speakers during a call i got my 24 2 weeks ago after my 21 was totaled and the headrest speakers don't activate in a call, you can hear music through them if you change the fader settings.
I haven’t experienced any issues with them
Owner of an FL5 Type R here.
What exhaust did you choose?
@@Pamela-dr2xn good win race
I would buy a 2024/2025 RF 6-MT version if it was available in Polymetal Gray Metallic (Carbon Edition color), but just not personally a fan of any of the current MX-5 color choices.
I don’t blame you
Miata ruined all other cars for me haha got 4500 miles on it in 3 months. I make every excuse to drive it :)
What kind of shifter and steering wheel? Thx
SuperKlasse shift knob. Guardian Design steering wheel
how is it compared to a mr-2 spyder?
I haven’t driven one yet 😔
What's the exhaust setup?
Good win Race
Enjoy it! There is the modding, club aspect, Miatafreak. I do suggest not to drive it in the winter not because of the car BUT because of others that will hit you. Get winter press cars if you can. Peace.
Have you driven a MR2S? 20 years old but 2100 lbs and with a 2ZZ, it gives the ND3 a run for the money in terms of fun
I haven’t yet but I will. 🫡
@@QueTheChaotic too bad I'm in the Southwest. I'm actually considering selling my Elantra N for a 1SS or M2CS F87. Do you think they're worth the huge price jump?
@@MK3504 even though the M2CS is the best car I’ve driven, they’re not worth the price. The SS 1LE is though.
@@QueTheChaotic if I could get a M2CS for 45 K, you thing it would be the move? I'm fiending over the 1SS because I've never had a performance V8. Have had inline 6s before, also which has the better shifter? Appreciate your down to earth videos!
@@MK3504 thanks a lot. 45k would be a steal but last I checked they were 70k+.
How tall are you?
@@davianshipley3890 5’11”
Don't put snow tires on that car. I did first year I had one. It was fine in the snow but I no longer loved driving it. I live in RI so if it snows I don't drive it. If it's 40 or above clear road I do and if it's sunny top down heat on. When the initial set of tire wore out I replaced with Michelin summer I think pilot sport
What made you not like driving it? I have 3 months to 30 degree weather
@@QueTheChaotic It ruined the thing that makes the miata great which is handling. I guess it depends on your situation. I work remote and have access to my wife's car nights/weekends so I don't really need to drive the miata but when I drive it I want the fun factor even in the winter
@@tomdoe1234 ah. Gotcha
I'm 6ft 2inchs and sadly I just don't fit comfortably.

Would this car just be out of the question as a daily, with 80ish miles round trip & 80% highway?
Not at all. I’m gonna make a video on what it’s like to daily it soon
@@QueTheChaotic Preesh home team. I want to enjoy this car but am afraid that much highway would tire me out. I can handle the stop and go with the manual, but the early ride in I'll see 70-80mph. I need to see if you've done a gr86 review, my next closest option..
@@DMA-i8w I have a review on the GR86 and BRZ. The 86 is on the firm side.
