Marvelous. The "religious music" is what the Catholic Church used when I went to Parochial School. The new organ sounds great. Those Polish cabinet makers did a fine restoration on the Baroque case too, (an uncle was a Master cabinetmaker). Chicago is a Sister City of Warsaw, and one the most Polish in the country). From Chicago, U.S.A.
Most of the Catholic Parish Churches where I come from have abandoned their pipe organs and neglected them due the shortage or organists and the fact that they have been made redundant due to the introduction of Guitars etc in order to sing all the modern worship songs. Most of the traditional hymns etc are not used anymore. No money can be used to maintain and restore pipe organs.

I’m sitting here trying to write a comment after watching this performance, but words are failing me. I’m stunned speechless by every aspect of this concert. The performance, the instrument, the building, the videography. Absolutely world class!
A brilliant concert of this highest quality which has become the trade-mark of the Scott Brothers’ duo. Thank you so much for allowing us to travel with you, discovering this wonderful church and amazing organ. Once more you have filled our day with joy and harmony.
Stunningly beautiful registration throughout. What a sublime instrument. What I wouldn't give to have even twenty minutes at that console. Thank you Jonathan and Tom for yet another masterpiece of a concert.
@@stevencochran4658 Yeah. I was in Kraków before pandemic during redecoration at St Mary in 2018 and 2019. I have to visit Kraków again. There are many great churches and a lot of wonderful sites! At least listen to any concert in my city (hopefully Anima Mundi comes back).
Spectacular building, organ(s), & performance! Only regret is I could not feel its power in person. Grand pieces to the gentle reflection of others showcased this stunning instrument. Bravo Jonathan! One of your best! Thank you for the Lacrimosa. Thank you Tom for another beautiful video. 👏👏👏👏👏💐❤❤🎹🎶
I keep listening to this recording again and again..I'm drawn by the fabulous playing as well as this wonderful organ which shines out with it's sparkle and growling. ..then those tubas...Thank you Jonathan and Tom !
Well, that was rather special!! The Basilica alone is incredibly beautiful (thanks Tom for those wonderful images), but the organ is positively stunning. I wish I could have been in the audience to feel the ground beneath my feet vibrating as you play those incredibly low notes on the tuba episcopalis! Yet again Jonathan you have excelled yourself with this programme. I know you put a great deal of effort into planning your programmes, taking into account the instrument you are playing, the acoustics, et al, but this was a very well-chosen selection & I am sure I will enjoy watching this amazing concert many times. This was a tour de force boys!! I am so looking forward to the next concert from Warsaw!
Congratulations for this excellent performance in an incomparable place, full of beauty and artistic and historical richness, with a great organ and impressive acoustics. I think the repertoire has been chosen exquisitely and meticulously. Excellent!! The views of the place have been filmed with great precision. Everything is praise but it is not for less. You never disappoint, on the contrary, you surpass yourself by offering your audience the best, with perfect performances, of excellent quality and difficult to beat. My favorite piece is 'Lacrimosa' by Mozart, with those basses so marked that they give the piece a funereal character and also sound great in the site. Once again, thank you very much for being so generous in sharing your invaluable work. Thank you!!💖💖😘😘
Thank you Jonathan for such splendid recital. Congratulations on those wonderful transcriptions, as well. Greetings from Kraków's twin city of Quito, Ecuador. Both Kraków and Quito were the two first cities in the world to be declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

What a wonderful concert from the new organ console of this beautiful Basilica, which is one of the most amazing churches that I have ever visited! Thank you!
So many of these amazing instruments are squirrelled away in old buildings that it almost doesn't seem to be a thing that they are still being made and installed. I can't imagine how much something like that would cost, but it can't be cheap. Jonathan, as usual, gets the very best from such an awesome organ.
Thank you to both Jonathan and Tom for an outstanding concert. We always leann from the music wee hear and Jonathan's great explanations and Tom's video tours of the venues they are playing in.
So beautiful! Thank you for the heavenly concert. I think God will have beautiful majestic pipe organs in heaven for us. I miss being a church organist. My heart longs to play again but time does not permit. Thank you. Deo gratias.
Hello Jonathan, Thank you for this wonderful concert performance. St. Mary's is a magnificent church and the music you played had a beautiful sound quality to it. Stokowski is reputed to have said that had J S Bach written only the Passacaglia, he would still be ranked among the notable composers. It is a work one never tires of-immensely complex yet easy to appreciate. Your performance was exhilarating, Jonathan, ranking alongside that given by Piet Kee at the Bavo, Haarlem.
Oh the Handel arrangement was fabulous as it is my all time favourite piece , having played it as first violin when I was at school. Fantastic concert and great video work. Thank you.
This has been a sterling "attendance" of your concert, Mr. Scott! Your generous enthusiasm, professional knowledge/performance, & this beautiful Cathedral, from the outside to the statuary, icons, paintings, & including the ornate cases for the pipes, all in this magnificent worship space has been a wonderful virtual visit. Normally all Jonathan's performances are just so delightful! That is the norm. But not soon good enough, these productions are becoming so much worth of eye-filling experiences as well too. Because all the videos on this channel, I always has been able to see the gifts Scott brothers duo has being granted forth... but, I have to admit: Silently, somewhat on the background, Robert is pacing up- pictorially- wise-, to what his brother has already reached. PERFECTION. Congrats!
