She was in the show from 2017-2019, and then quit to do other things. During those 2 years I believe she made 3 investments, and her replacement Sara Davies is a much more likeable young woman. I think that Sara and Jenny are worth abiut the same, 10 million.
Without a doubt one of the best pitches in the den! Confident and not cocky and his responses were on fire.
He has one of the most important entrepeneural traits that almost every other pitch is lacking. He's conscientious and empathetic.
I could hear the relief in Jenny's voice when she found an angle in which she could leave the deal lol.

Yeah because if there's one thing the UK lacks it's banks. London is the world's banking capital, getting rich the way she did is way easier than being an inventor and she's going to ride on him for not being an overnight success on a product he created for a local council? I love Deborah, she’s the only reason I watch this show.
To me this is one of my favourite episodes...It's very inspiring, if you've ever had an business idea or any other idea you believe in. And overall the production team got it right, the intro music, the selected scenes, the outro. I actually bookmarked this 👌

I agree. A real inventor is a rare and precious thing. As Deborah said to Pete that he could have 100 ideas and among them is one that is great. This is the difference between a true inventor and someone with a great idea. The inventor will have more bad ideas but also more good ideas than that someone with one great idea. As Thomas Edison said: genius is 1 % inspiration and 99 % perspiration".

That guy was amazing. He performed his pitch and never let up and offering his product/s for 25% of his Company for a measly €25,000 was brilliant. What he did do was unearth Peter Jones and Jenny’s insecurities in being in the company of a master communicator. Bravo. Deborah made an offer because he is good, his Cat Feeder is excellent and she is a generous lady with a secure mindset.
A perfect presentation from a guy that simply packaged his passion into a cat phone.
Pete works for my local Council and he is such a nice bloke I'm so happy he got his Dragon and investment he is very investable. He was discussing this idea with me a few years ago.

Nothing close to "outrageously confident" about this pitch. He did a brilliant pitch and knew all aspects of his business and competition. Maybe pricing should be improved, but that is easy considering the cost per unit delivered.
no matter how much you know of your business, once you stand in front of them it is hard to deliver without having great confidence. He was well above that with sharp answers. Outrageously sharp answers. its clickbait but not too far from the truth

This is actually a brilliant idea !!! And you can tell he LOVEs cats ....I instantly liked the guy .. Cat people have a sensor where they instantly recognize other cat people ..
cat mama, and i was "you should have brought an actual cat in to prove that yes they WILL use this bowl and come to you when you use the 'cat phone'". he totally did his research on who to pitch hardest to, though.
(my rescues would almost certainly be unimpressed, but then i'm on a fixed income so barring the vet saying i need to upgrade, they get store brand dry food.)

@@elizabethevenson6110 aah. I see. My mackerel tabby is a thicc girl! I've tried store brand wet food and dry but she turns her nose up. If she was a house cat with no other option she probably would get hungry and cave and eat it but as an indoor/outdoor cat she just goes off to find better!😁 she came to me like that so I can't really change her and keep her home, besides, there's an old lady up the road she visits who adores her!

@@alyanome It exists. China manufactures a huge number of products. Both good ones with proper QC and bad ones that are shoddy. Sure it takes some time to find it, but generally it's worth it if you're paying much much less. But the real problem is, these two products are not very practical.
