Hi Kseniya! I really appreciate your time and effort you put into your videos. I will be totally get lost with all these forms that needed to be filled out. These applications already involve a lot of money and hiring a lawyer to sort all these could even double up our expenses especially my wife and I will be petitioning both her parents. May God bless you in return for all these information you share freely to others!

Like you said my husband doesn't need to sign I-864A if I don't need his income. Since I am the primary sponsor for my parents and
my income is sufficient to meet the financial requirements.
    My Tax 2021: I filed single ( income 80k)
Tax 2022: I filed as joint marriage with my husband. Total 150k ( my income 80k and his income 70k)
However, there are some questions in part 6 of I-864 I dont know how to answer.
Number 8,9,10 .....20 and 24a (most recent tax year of 2022) . Can you help me those ?

Hi Kseniya. My 2023 tax return is a little less than what the minimum income requirement, and I got new job and my current salary is higher However when I fill the I 864, instead of putting down the project salary of this current year, I put the one from last year. So now I got a letter saying I don’t meet the minimum income requirement, to avoid delays a joint sponsor may be submitted.
What do you think I should do in this case? Find a joint sponsor or just sending them the employment evidence, plus submit cash assets for the income difference?

Scenario:My husband was unemployed in 2021. I plan to submit the form this year 2022. Is it okay if we tick the box" I was not required to file a federal income tax return as my income was below..."and attach some proof stating that it's only for the year of 2021 only? Or if by ticking the box, we are indicating that it applies to all three years?

    Thanks for the video.
I have one question that I couldn't find through the video.
I recently got married to a US citizen. She is an RN and has been working in the hospital since mid-2022.
I am on an F1 visa. I am currently pursuing my 2nd master's here in the US, and I currently don't work. (No CPT). But I worked until last year in October on STEM -OPT before my second master's began, so I had income and filled taxes to show for the last 3 years, which is above the federal poverty threshold.
So my qtns is in the form I-864: 24. c. 3rd Most Recent?
My wife started working professionally around mid-2022 and has a 1040 total income higher than the federal poverty threshold for 2022. and 2023. but 2021's total income (~10k) was way below the fed poverty threshold.
So, what could you recommend? Should we enter that total income (10k) into 24.c. in the 3rd most recent total income box a no?

Hi Kseniya! Thank you very much for this explanation, it's helped a lot. I do have a concern though, If my income on my most recent tax returns is below the requirement, but I am now earning well above the required amount and can show proof through pay stubs and employee letters. would I still be requiring a sponsor to make up for the previous year's tax income transcript?

How do you claim a 19 month & a 4 year old that are on SSI because I'm over 65 years young. The SSI is used for them and can't be claimed on federal taxes coz it is my childrens non taxable income. Can't figure out where to get clarification on that. Also what good is the NVC process if you can't have more than $2,000 - $3,000 in your bank account?

I have a question about this process, I 864 and I 864a. I am sponsoring my wife to immigrate to the states. We are apply from abroad and I am a US citizen. I was working until a year ago when I became temporarily disabled. So my W2s look like I make below the poverty line. How ever my wife makes way over the poverty line and her job will continue in the US when we immigrate. Question is will they allow us to share an income until Im not disabled or do I have to start working again or get a joint sponcer? Thnk you

Dear Kseniya, Thank you so much for making these videos. I am about to file GC for my mother who is earning $75K as H4 EAD. I am a college student and earning 8K. In this situation can I use my mother for joint sponsor for her GC? Meaning can I add her income in I864? My dad is in H1B `but I cannot apply for both the parents as my little sister will be out of status as soon as both my parents get green card. So I will apply for my mother then once she gets GC, She will apply for my father and Little sister.

You do not need w2 if you submit tax transcripts, only if you include your tax return

If you file taxes jointly with your spouse you still must submit W2 even if you send in irs tax transcripts. It’s always best to send them in to avoid delays in your case.

What do I need to submit as affidavit of support document(s) when petitioning for my family if I am an LPR since October 2020 and only worked in the US since February What do I submit instead of the tax returns as I can only file them in 2022?. My income is sufficient but I don't have tax return as I can file tax returns of mine in 2022.

What if i have a rental property income and receive VA disability can i use that ? The guide says do not enter any social security payouts which is similar VA disability … So i guess that doesn’t count as income ?
And according to tax law if your have a sole proprietor rental property your NOT considered self employed and u cant call the rental income from your rental property as income

@@OmFatimah2016 when you indicate income you do current estimated income based on how much you’re expected to earn this year.
