Regular use of my CurrentBody LED mask has done wonders for improving my hyperpigmentation. And it also works on relieving minor body/foot aches & pains - go figure, eh? 😀

I would absolutely love a comparison video of Faded vs Peace Out Dark Spots Serum. I’m using Faded now but I’m so curious about Peace Out.

I have rosacea and melasma and what's really worked for me is red LED therapy, the one I use is from Omnilux. Sure it is expensive but it last for years, it tackles both redness and hyperpigmentation and it also boost collagen. I do 10 mins every other day and saw great improvement after a month. I can't use many of the acids and vitamin Cs as these can be very irritating so I like this alternative. For skincare, I compliment with azeleic acid which tackles both issues.
Dr Alexis Stevens here on TH-cam recommends moisturisers with vitamin F (e.g. those with omega 3, 6) as research shows they are good for melasma hyperpigmentation.
    Good luck everyone!

The best product I’ve discovered is Lancôme H.C.F serum
Yes it’s pricey but I get all three products in one
    Can’t recommend enough
Can even go makeup free now
    Skin confidence xx

You asked for recommendations. Yours are very good but suppose you want faster results and just happen to have a Plasma Pen. If it's a cheap one, you can get professional results by using the minimum setting and going over an issue, such as an ingrowing hair causing a lump. It'll bring it to the surface by doing circles over the site: no series of dots, just circles with the mole needle. Cheaper devices usually require you to touch the skin. Without numbing cream and doing this, you're not risking removing too many layers. Just go over it once or twice if you absolutely have to. It won't scab over until a day or so due to it being thinly treated. You can always go over one or 2 sun spots with a series of dots, then still be okay to be seen in public by mimising treatments and applying a white cast sunscreen to disguise any marks. People who are prone to removing too many layers, ask the skin clinic for help. If you respect your device, you can treat olive skin if done gently: any darker and it becomes more important to do a patch test.

Trying to deal with scarring is my biggest skin issue. Of course, I also side focus on anti-aging, but dealing with scars is frustrating. Watching yourself, NoBSbeauty, and Alice has made such a difference in my skin. I have to admit that though I love the Ordinary, Good Molecules, etc... In all honesty, I have developed a slight addiction to Korean Skincare, okay serious addiction.😬 I am dying to try the Beauty of Joseon glow serum...
I do not have actual acne scars, but I had all the glass from an SUV shatter, and pieces ended up in face. I could tell lots of stories about it, like feeling the nurses picking glass out of my skin, and then putting on a cream while I was laying in a hospital bed with my eyes swollen shut. A dermatologist actually pointed out that my scarring looked like acne scars, and although I had several procedures to reduce the scarring at the time, none were 100% effective.
Luckily, i dont have sensitive skin, so treating the scars as though they're acne scars has made a noticeable difference in both the pigment and texture of my skin. I know this is a challenge I'll have for life, but thanks to you I have found many actives and products that really help!! Thank you so much for all the helpful info, i will always be in your debt!! I just wish they're wasn't an ocean & entire country between the MAS products and G&G and myself! ❤️

Nothing has really worked on my sun spots, except retinol. I recently bought the faded and timeless vitamin c. So I hope they work for me. So far no skincare has, not even the ordinary peeling serum

My favorite exfoliator is one of your recommendations! The medik8 PHA toner is so gentle but it still works for my super sensitive skin. I started using it once every few days and now I use it once a day. It's great!

I’m very happy with the results from Re:Pigment. It’s erasing both my age spots and old darks spots. Great Stuff . Also loving the Allies of Skin C 20%. Truly fast acting and luxurious. Between those two and TO’s Lactic Acid-I’m feeling good about my glow game. Thanks for all the great recommendations Rob.

Been about two weeks since I implemented The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Sqalane in my routine and it worked really well to brighten my overall complexion and mitigated the apperance of some of the scars on my face. I love using it with my adaplene. And I am loving products with panthenol, like Bepanthen and DermaB CeraMD.

Thanks for another great video. For one recommendation for a gentle powder exfoliator, I like the Good Molecules Pineapple Exfoliating Powder. It has rice and silk and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid. I can't really attest to what is totally working for my hyperpigmentation (still trying to find the magic solution - going to stick with vitamin Cs and retinoids for sure), but I can mention a few products that have not helped. I have medium-dark skin and so I think it's really important to remind people (like you did in your video) to pay attention to what your skin is telling you and don't try to force results with the wrong products. For example, I tried using the Versed Dark Spot Gel as a spot treatment, and it stung so bad. I forced myself to live through the stinging 3 days in a row and on the 3rd day, my dark spots looked darker! I stopped using it immediately. I also use the gentler AHA's and only leave them on my skin for about 20 minutes. As soon as something is burning, or stinging that lasts and lasts, it's out of my routine. I also have been trying the Caudalie VinoPerfect dark spot serum. It's super expensive and has fragrance but I wanted to try something that had some alternative anti-pigment ingredients (to the usual actives and acids). I have been using it for 3 months, every day, 2-3 times a day. I've seen many a TH-camr claim this worked to get rid of their dark spots in about 1-2 months. It has actually helped the dark spots on my shoulders and upper arms, but no effect on my face. I'm not sure if the fragrance is causing inflammation or why it isn't working for face spots, but I finally decided to stop buying more of it. My newest trial for a hyperpigmentation product is the DRMTLGY Hydra-Fader serum. It's got kojic acid and a number of peptides, plus ceramides and cholesterol which are good for the skin barrier. I've only been using it for about 2 weeks. Anyone who has experience with this product, please share it with me.

I am going to try a few of these products, but one that’s worked literally overnight for me and I’m a fan also of the brand and a few products..but for hyperpigmentation Ole Henrikson Glow Dark Spot Toner!!! This toner is amazing on my dry, 41 year old skin and literally works almost like a magic eraser!! I use it on my face and the tops of my feet, as I live in FL, wear flip flops almost everyday and have hyperpigmentation on the tops of my feet for sure and I literally watch it start wiping it off and see such an amazing difference!! Highly recommend this product and also the Lemonade Scrub

Loving your content, well researched and honest, a rarity in this area! I had been ordering tretinoin, retin a, 1 percent. Best thing ever for lines, age spots, and mixing my own essential oils mixes. Tretinoin really difficult to get now and silly prices. I'm fairly old but I do think the various products I used over the years helped. Lancome, Clarins. I was in tv and film and stuff so preserving decent skin mattered. Also had some ipl and electric lifts! Keep up the great work! ❤️

Used both topicals and good molecules discoloration serum although i think they are good products and work for many but personally they did not work for me at all. Now currently started using retin A gel 0.1 % and azelaic acid 15% lets see how it goes gonna wait 3-6 months to see results.

Thanks for the information about hyperpigmentation as I am trying to get rid of the acne scars and scratch marks when I fought with insect bites. I am using vitamin C serum in the day and Retinol on alternative nights. Night time I have been using vitamins BCE with beta glucan and snail mucin serum...
I might try peptides to soothe the skin and help with the healing...

Ponds fade cream is the only thing I saw major results from. It's cheap, has existed longer than most of us and it's always found on the bottom shelf. It offers an even tone within 4-6 weeks. I didn't see any products offer any time frames but ponds. Doesn't anyone question that? Its like no one is critical thinkers anymore. If you are wise, check bottom shelf items first. It's all marketing manipulation people!

In a future vid can you make a vid on creams that treat hyperpigmentation for dry and sensitive skin. My favorite has been so for is the redness relieving night moisturizer by cetaphil, it has licorice root in it which helps hyperpigmentation for sensitive skin as recommended by dr. Dray and also what is your opinion on soy for hyperpigmentation because it’s also supposed to be good for this as well. Im planning to give it a try in the future.

I use the revolution vit C cream cleanse right now and I don't think it's doing anything for me, the form of vit C in it isn't that great. BUT it smells so good.
I just finished a bottle of the ordinary lactic acid + HA and it helped fade the pigmentation I had around my moustache area from waxing.

Anything for hypopigmentation (vitiligo and also scars that appear white and/or won't tan anymore)? My forehead looks so patchy like hyperpigmentation but when you look close you can see it's the opposite, lighter patches on my regular skin. A small patch of that is vitiligo but a whole bunch is scars, especially from a graze I had as a kid right across my temple. I scar every time i get injured, because my skin is so thin I think . it sucks.

      @michellefaurillo4026 2 ปีที่แล้ว

It depends on how well your skin can tolerate it but I think it would be better to exfoliate once or twice a week..As for the azelaic acid 20%, you have to slowly introduce it, starting from twice a week and work your way up until you can use it every night..
