Ya know i think its really cool and very inspiring that you didnt let this hold you back persuing your dream of becoming a police officer. A lot of people in your shoes wouldnt even try, but you went for it anyway and succeeded! That says a lot about your character. Thank you for protecting our communities! I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Holy... shit. I have just applied for the Metropolitan Police in the UK and have been worrying about my tics preventing me from joining but seeing you has giving me so much inspiration its unreal. Thank you for this video (as much as it set my tics off hehe) it has really helped me.
I just found your channel. My 13 year old daughter just got a dx of Tourette's today. She likely has an underlying co-morbid seizure disorder as well but for now just the confirmed TS. Thank you for being open about your tics and your job. It gives me hope for my kid! She's a tough kiddo plays Roller derby and loves to be active.
I’ve sent this to the support group I run . I’ve asked parents to show their kids . We need as much positive energy around Ticcers as we can get . Huge thank you for opening up like this .
Tourettes cop I know how you feel. A lot of people ask me if maybe I have tourettes because I do the nervous blinking the twitch as some people call it I call the nervous tick where I'll raise my eyebrows and blink a lot. However I just tell him that I have ADHD and I have a nervous twitch and after people here that they tend to kind of leave it at that. But I know what it's like to have people constantly asking me questions about why I have this type of stuff and I just explain to him what I have I think it's more of a curiosity thing then a judgmental thing. In my opinion the top three things that love people ask a lot about is ADHD or ADD followed by Tourette's and Autism. And when people ask about it we simply answer we're no more different than anybody else. We're human being just like they are it's just we have something different about us. And in my opinion it makes us more unique. I'm glad officer Daniels referred me along with their people to your Channel I look forward to the content you'll be bringing out. Take care and have a good night and God bless.
I ride a motorcycle despite my tics. Even today a couple hours after a major tic attack, I still got on my motorbike and rode on new roads to eat chicken and rice
Can you do a video specifically addressing becoming a Law Enforcement Officer with TS and any additional hurdles you faced because of it? I'm 28 years old, starting the process soon to get into an academy. I have TS although generally pretty mild, with some few-day-long periods of worsening. I'm not sure when exactly it's going to come up in the process or how to appropriately address it... Would be kickass to hear how it affects the hiring process.
I have tourette's syndrome and coprolalia , So my Ticks are bad off that yours, But I Would like anyone to help me, Because I’m Thinking about being on the Police force?
I thought I couldn't be a cop because of it this make me sooo happy. That give me hope .
💚😍Thank you for being you
