Thats not good that you we're not diagnosed, and the fact that you thought ticks were normal way of life, i feel like i was negligence, cuz how can a chikd fit in when they have these abnormalities, yes my son had the rarest abnormality, i had to support him, you constantly biting ur lip was a sign you were holding everything inside and like feeling i have to let go somehow, your so brillant to be educating people on tourettes syndrome, as i believe as a chikd growing up and really having the support needed or crying out for was ignored, the pain, ok just throw her in like tge rest, for she is like all others, but hey God you made me different, sure i look like the others but hey im lost i need special attention here, im 🐌, and then you go thru life wondering why wasnt i properly diagnosed, why wasnt it pointed out, life woukd have been much different

U need something stronger , what thier giving you is weak. They minus tell you to take aspirin. You need Motrin, pain meds

Wish I could take your pain and tiredness away, Officer. You make me feel a way with how you speak and carry yourself.

Have been prescribed mobic and naproxen for chronic neck and back pain and they don't work. Also take cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxer) and it works just a tiny bit, not much. Just wanted to say, thank you for serving the law enforcement career and fighting through. Your tics are something I'd never wish to change about you unless it's what /you/ wanted. You're a strong man and a very kind and handsome one. Just my viewpoint from a random 31-year-old gay guy. Keep doing what you do and hope you find better medications soon, bud.

Hey Craig! Thanks so much for sharing your story! Tics also run in my family, and I didn't realize I specifically had Tourette Syndrome until I happened upon the information in my college years. I really relate to the mixed feelings of not being diagnosed in childhood; on one hand, it was probably good for my condition to be normalized, but on the other, I'm sure it could have saved me quite a bit of grief growing up. I vividly remember using all my willpower to not to squeak in school, and I was always frustrated and confused as to why I constantly had to erase and rewrite my notes. I've had to do a lot of research to figure things out, but by now, at the age of 27, I've become much more comfortable broaching the subject of my tics and how they impact my life with other people. I've also found volunteering with the TAA and meeting others with Tourette to be extremely rewarding. Listening to the stories of people like yourself made me feel a lot less alone in my experiences, so thank you for sharing! 😊

I know this all too well. My neck has had 5 surgeries and the pain causes me to tic, which causes me more pain and it keeps going until I just can’t stand it any more. So yeah, I fell you
