This is literally a scaled down version of a real trophy truck even down to the dual spare tires and extra driveshaft, it bugs me that people are comparing it to kratons and revos. This is for the people who want a realistic truck, not hardcore bashers. And it looks like it handles better than the yeti and Baja rey, no torque twist from that special rear axle.
Gotta get the variable damping shock piston kit for the GTR shocks (Part #5461)so you can tune the compression and rebound individually to make that thing really handle! (You will need two sets if your doing all 4 shocks which you should).
Got mine from the traxxas booth March 9th at the Mint 400 in Las Vegas. They had four to sell and I got the last one 5 minutes after they opened (keep in mind this is two months before retail release) I was also able to get Justin Lofton to sign the body and the box. Say hello to my new shelf queen!
Dude. Without a doubt the nicest footage I've seen of the UDR in action. The color and framerate made it like the real thing and you didn't have to use cheesy angles, closeups and crazy music!
love the realistic slow mo. kinda sick of all the bash videos. anyone can smash a truck into stuff but to make it look real is a skill. great job on test loved every second.
Just bought the fox addition udr and it's really hard to explain how amazing this thing is to drive! I'd swear I was driving a real one with how it handles the ruff stuff..=] awesome!!!
Oh my goodness, if the truck came in the gas powered version! Ouuu it could have a dual exhaust and they could both come out of the side or the back, but they would come out of where the spare tires are in the back! Man I should work for the idea office in Traxxas😂

I wouldn’t call it a basher, it’s pretty easy to break really anything. Most parts need to be replace to metal, and the entire drive terrain needs to be lubed with a higher grade oil. The rear diff housing also gets a lot of sand and dust into it. It’s either get a metal one for $150 or seal it up with silicone.
What’s a good starter for someone interested in this hobby? I’m not an expert driver but have been looking into getting one for quite some time. I’d mainly be doing back yard driving with some jumps. Thanks for any info.

It sure can soak up the bumps quite well with that suspension. You get the body roll, and squat, comparable to the full size trophy trucks with nice smooth shocks to help it. Does this come with the TSM system?
If you've only taken it in dust, i suppose you don't need to remove the body after every run especially if you've taken it out every week. Removing 12 screws every week could be a pain...dust shouldn't damage it?
This looks like a ton of fun on the wet pavement at the end. Damn it guys Amain now you got me debating the erevo2 or this ultimate desert racer truck. Hahaha
I like this design, although I’m curious about how repairing the car and getting to various parts to replace them is. Nice to see an extra driveshaft hopefully with the fixed covered body, rocks don’t get jammed into the driveshaft like the Slash 4x4.
It's a floater!!! The body doesn't Bob up and down and bounce around like many of the others! Ohh? I'm just wondering is there a real life size reVO ?, or any of them trucks with the oversized wheels funny ass body's? Apart from Bigfoot!!!I've seen the real life version of this truck! Traxxas have left you some things to paint if one chooses too! ..Excellent driving!

Bought one of these trucks today, super upgraded with hot racing parts… it’s an utter beast. Too bad Traxxas quality really sucks. They figured a brittle plastic steering tie rod end would handle a 30 pound truck going 60MPH… Needless to say, first rock it hit, that tie rod end pretty much disintegrated…
