Man I just played around with that thing for the first time in my house chasing my son awesome and it's cool in the dark how the light on the top of the truck glows. Can't wait to take this thing outside I was on training mode.

After over a year of owning this truck and upgrading a ton of parts I have figured out how to stop the rear driveshaft from exiting the drive cups with limiting straps installed in a fashionI haven't seen anyone do yet. Even though it has broke more than any of my other RCs it's probably still my favorite. I put stock 6s infraction V2 system in my erevo 2.0...riiips
I’d definitely be interested to hear more on your upgrades and experience with this truck. Been pondering getting one but already know I would want to start upgrading right away…
@@davedelcambre7760 it's unique due to its chassis design and suspension. Although limited on battery size in stock compartments.
Aluminum tie rods and toe links are needed. Replacement rear drive cups.
I had an 18 tooth pinion and tried a 23, I think it gets a little too got on 22 for bashing around. Stock tires are decent, but will explode above 50mph. I hit 51 with 18 pinion, stock spur and stock tires. One soon blew after that run on pavement.
I have a limiting strap OVER the rest traxxas Aluminum after market brace from rocker to rock, my rear rockers are also updated to the the got racing blue ones. Tie rod end links still get worn out faster under the rear rockers and I have zip ties there to help them stay in place. I haven't had the rear steel drive shaft exit the cup since and I have 3 sets of packs though it now.
I'll be putting the 18 pinion back in it or maybe a 20 to have a middle ground.
Mine practically does standing back flips with the esc all the way on 9 punch level. Keep in mind I font have the stock electronics in it. It's the arrma infraction system, motor and esc. 2200kv compared to 2050kv motor now.
I have random Aluminum parts scattered throughout, some help, some are for looks.

Hey man awesome video. Seriously thinkin of upgrading from my TMAXX to this monster machine. Only question i have is about the suspension.... Am i able to upgrade it or at least make it firmer for better landings off a jump?
that center diff makes a difference, check out the kratons and notice how on hard acceleration the front tires outrun the back

Great job man! Your video convinced me to get one! Lol Brought me (back) into the world of RC. (It's been 25 years since I was racing my cousin with 2 Tyco fast trax lol). Since the old model is similarly named, I've found it difficult to find aftermarket parts. Less experienced bashers (noobs) like myself are seeing many bent suspension rods, /broken/ stripped rod ends, etc. If you know of any good modifications to this to enhance the rod links, perhaps you could test em and do another video or link us to some reccomended ones. I think traxxas really nailed it with this one. I've see this featured in articles and sites that have nothing to do with RC, and they're all raving about how awesome it is. I'm inclined to agree having owned it for just over a week now, Lol.
AMain Hobbies the rods coming out of the rod ends from stripping was catalyst to more damaged parts. As soon as I replaced the stripped end, no more issues landing jumps. Also adjusting ride height and softening the shocks.
I heard that super glue helps the rod ends stay put a little. Haven't tried that yet lol.

There has been a lot of mention about the upgrades but no one has mentioned if there is a significant improvement on the bulkheads. This is my biggest complaint on my current erbe.
im looking at this an the redcat mt8e. i like the styling of the red cat more. but i know traxxas and their quality as well as the parts availability nationwide. its like any hobby shop will have traxxas parts.

E Revo has been my dream RC car for some looong time , hope I get one soon!
I got one last month and they are a blast. Just keep in mind you're probably going to need to spend about $200-$300 in upgrades relativity early on compared to other r/cs due to the wheels putting so much stress on the servos and toe links. And keep in mind the amount of parts on a E-Revo 2.0 compared to something like a Rustler 4x4 vxl is significant. I wouldn't own an E-Revo 2.0 unless it's going to be your main R/C it requires a lot of attention and money. My wallet would be a lot happier if I just went with the lighter/smaller rustler 4x4 vxl.

Joshua....the newer eRevo’s that Traxxas is now shipping have upgraded toe links that are thicker, stronger and with longer rod ends. The new part numbers can be seen on the schematic drawings. Plus, there’s lots of vids of people adding limiting straps on the rear suspension which seems to resolve the problem of the rod ends coming out before the tie rod change by Traxxas. Aside from that, there’s lots of good options for servo upgrades that can be bought for under $100 for both.

Ya Im the one who told Traxxas to build it when the xmaxx debut I told them that day after driving it make a erevo xmaxx size they didn't make it bigger but converted the rest Maxx style I emailed them left you tube suggestions non stop I think I'm the guy who made them think I wish they would have made it bigger though more length is needed for that truck and a bit more width.

@Lockdown spinning Besides open a can of worms, get the Tekno driveshafts for the Slash 4x4. front & rear. Otherwise ONLY upgrade what you break. It can become a money pit real fast.

Traxxas is not the "bad guy" - but it would seem that some die hard RC enthusiasts ( from my minimal experience reading forum posts) feel compelled to construct this ongoing narrative that Traxxas is somehow evil and wants to destroy competition. The reality is, they're just super f***ing competitive, lol and their legal team knows wtf is up. Think of it like this ...

1. Kids and idealist fans don't understand that they're a business like any other, and they look after their assets and their bottom line.
2. Lastly, the notion that they advertise too much is ironic. Their so-called "over-marketing" might seem annoying to RC veterans, but its also effective enough to reach guys like me from multiple sources of media. Because of their popularity, you can go to any hobby shop within 10 miles of any major city and get just about any part for a Traxxas you need. Or worste case, having it shipped it 2 days. Plenty of other brands I like too. They didn't sue me, so I got no beef with em. Plus they're the most neon color of all the competition. And everyone know neon colors are way faster. Derp.
I was away for 30years and bought a rustler vxl a couple years ago. It’s pretty awesome. I have definitely doubled the cost of it buying new parts to replace broken ones and new batteries and a new charger and metal drive shafts and a whole host of other parts but it really is awesome. We never really grow up we just get deeper pockets and more expensive tastes. I’m ready for the e revo because they don’t make the e maxx anymore:(

What is the difference between chassis size on the v2 and the v1? Also you CAN run the gen 1 traxxas connectors on the gen 2 iD connectors.

How are you doing Brett? I have the EREVO 2.0. Is there a way tp adjust the throttle response in Standard mode? Basically I want less wheelies, but full speed. Even in the dirt this thing pops them and flips on it's back. I have experience with throttle control, but "WOW". In practice mode it's fine but I want full speed. I have the app and I'm trying adjust the settings.I am running two 3s, 25c 50c =6s batteries. Is there away to adjust the throttle response on the app or am I going to go from 6s to 4s?

yes it is a beast, my Best rc truck ever beyond all my rc stuff I have the first brushless model and I am still using it till this day it has been nearly 11 or 12 years ago and it is still perfect, this truck combines everything (power, speed, durability and a very nice look)

No it can't just take it. It's better sure, but you will need the back brace 10$,,you will need part 2073 for the servos the spurs go out 4$, or the red servo 1 at 100$, the servos work great but you need to dial them in every so often. The shock rods 12 $, then you need to protect the esc fan cause small rocks get in and break blades, so panty hose or a breathable filter over it.these are small mods. Its a great rc and would buy it agian, but the power kills little things, it's Awesome, buy it you will not regret it.

The later pushrod revision, the grey ones are a lot tougher...old versions were chrome and weaker...
Why does the left rear wheel always stop when doing sharp turns? If it would keep spinning with the other three tires, the truck would probably flip a lot less .
Sometimes the inside rear tire will lift up when corning hard and it's mainly because the front suspension compresses so much during the weight transfer, that the rear inside unloads and lifts. Basically the front outside of the vehicle becomes heavy and the rear inside of the vehicle becomes lightweight. Hope this helps!

Just so y’all know the old Traxxas plugs will work with this truck you don’t have to change the plugs on the esc
Do the lip battery connectors have to be Traxxas I’d connectors or original Traxxas old school lipo battery connectors?
This vehicle is equipped with ID connectors, so both ID and legacy Traxxas connectors are compatible.

Are the front and back difs locked
I just purchased one and on start up the fan seems REAAALLLY loud. Is that the way it's supposed sound?
Is the fan making any ticking or strange noises or is it just a loud fan? I kind of remember our fan being pretty loud as well, but it's probably ok as long as it still sound like a fan.
