Colleen's realization of "not one way to raise a baby" talk had me thinking... We do this with adults too. "This is the right product for you" "This is the way to get over this problem" "This is how you should spend your time" We need to start embracing individuality of beliefs and behaviors from cradle to grave.
I completely agree he is brilliant with the fact that he spouts off that I have no clue about. But he has also emotionally handled the whole situation from what she has shown us really really well. The holes round robin of somebody at the hospital and somebody home Flynn just goes with it. You bring one baby home and he's thrilled and he is just as thrilled when the next one gets to come home. And he loves them so much it's so sweet to watch.
They way the twins just focus on Flynn (especially when he corrects himself on the names) 😭😭 They are just soaking it all in and it fills my hearts to see your family together just bonding and Flynn adjusting seemingly well 💚💚
My mom actually gave me the best advice when it comes to raising my son; I was struggling so hard in the beginning, guilting myself over the littlest things, kinda like you did with Flynn, and one day she just told me ''If your baby is healthy, developing well, and you are surviving, then you are doing a good job, no matter what anyone out there is saying.'' And ever since, I have completely stopped worrying about my skills as a parent. You got this, girl, and all other mammas out there, you got this.

I'm a mom to 4 boys and I definitely remember when each baby was in the newborn stages it was exhausting. Hang in there, you're doing a fabulous job. You have adorable children. Love your Vlogs!
Could you imagine waking up several times a day/night to film the hardest parts of your day in your life. But also sleep deprived for the last 7-8 weeks. Cute idea not super realistic.
Flynn is such a good big brother. Golding them, giving them kisses, calling them cutie bugs, trying to make them happy and smile, and singing to them. He is such a little angel. He really loves his siblings and wants the best for them. Such big smiles everytime he sees them
For someone who wants to be a mom someday, it is really good advice not to listen to all the "you HAVE to do xyz" because I imagine these can be really overwhelming on top of being an inexperienced new parent. Every baby has individual needs. I always love when my mom talks about how different her experience was with me and my brother as newborns. My brother was very high maintenance, my mom lived on the sofa and off of granola bars because she didn't even have time to cook because the feedings took ages. My brother also screamed bloody murder whenever he was unhappy or hungry. When I was born my mom was like "This baby is content 24/7 and only coos when she's hungry? She chugs her feedings in no time and goes right back to sleep? I actually have time to do things? What is this life?" :D
Hey Colleen, i just wanted to let you know that there's a product called nipple shields for mummas who want to breastfeed and babies that prefer bottle teats, you put it over your nipples and that way its a win win for mums and their bubbas. I had to use them for both my babies and it works amazingly. I hope this helps you, Wesley and Maisey to nurse a lot easier. I ❤ you and your beautiful family so much, it's one of the highlights in my day. Sending Lots of love to you all from Australia ❤ 😍 ❤
I don't know if Colleen will ever see this, but I just wanted to thank you. I am a teenager with anxiety and your vlogs have been so comforting over the past years. You are a great part of my daily routine and I feel better after I watch your videos. Thank you!
Flynn really doesn't know how much he makes me smile everyday! He's such an awesome brother, Maisie and Wes are really cute next to him (not that they aren't adorable in general)! Thanks so much Flynn, I needed this today.
Flynn holding Wes just made ne tear up, Colleen went through so much and she now has her amazing, beautiful family full of sweet, kind, caring and loving babies ❤ It just makes me so happy to be able to see this
Flynn had so much love in his eyes while holding Wes 🥰 and he is just so sweet with the twins, you can tell how proud he is to hold them and snuggle them.
Hi Colleen! My name is Audrey, I am 14 and from Australia. I love to sing and love anything broadway! Watching your videos is the highlight of my day. You are such a strong, confident and kind person who is unapologetically yourself. You're also genuine, unlike other people on the internet, and not to mention an amazing mum! I hope and aspire to be like you when I'm older. Also, Flynn, Maisy and Wesley are the cutest babies I have ever seen! I hope your having an amazing night and are getting some rest💕
I love how much Flynn loves his brother and sister. Seriously you guys are doing an amazing job raising him. Doing amazing job raising Maisy and Wesley. I'm so proud of you. I hope no one's gets annoyed how many times I say I'm proud of her. Love you
"Where's the other cutie bug?".... Flynn. Oh my heart, he is adorable! So so sweet and caring with the babies! Thank you for sharing and the "real" talk Colleen. I wish someone like you would have been around when I had my twins, 25 years ago!
I love these vlogs. The little moments where Flynn is playing with the babies, you sharing what snacks keep you going at night and even the thoughts about how unique the babies are.. these are all things that I wish I could go back and rewatch in my own life. Those first few months (or years!) are so hazy from sleep deprivation, having videos would be amazing to remember and share with the kids when they are older. 💜
As a bottle feeding momma I recommend getting enough bottles and putting them in the dishwasher and run that once a night. It feels amazing to not have to wash bottles all the time.
I know it's been a long time since I've had any on bottles I'm guessing probably run a little bit of bleach through it one cycle before you do it and then just wash I know they have fancy dishwashers now they actually sterilize. But that seems a whole heck of a lot easier
Colleen talking about her revelation in regards to every baby being different, really stuck with me. When my baby was born, I wanted to breastfeed. My sweet little angel refused to latch, I mean REFUSED. She would not drink milk from my boobies. I had to exclusively pump for months since she would happily take the breast milk from a bottle. Exclusively pumping took a serious toll on me, and I had clogged ducts constantly, mastitis three times in less than 2 months, it was hell. I was also ravaged by PPD and felt like a failure always, so I made the decision to transition my baby off breast milk and she's been a formula baby since. The judgement I have received from family and friends for this decision has been abysmal. Everyone has an opinion and everyone seems to think they know better than I do in regards to my own baby. She's 10 months now and she's incredibly healthy and the coolest baby ever, has never been sick, is growing perfectly normal, and is and has been a formula fed baby
Fed is best. I was a young mom my three boys that came back to back to back I attempted to nurse but not really a hearty effort and I can't pump at all nothing comes out so all three boys ended up having to have a different formula for their different needs. I was desperate to nurse my daughter when she finally came after a lot of heartache 7 years later so I join with leche and I had two lactation consultants and it actually worked for a very very long time we're talking more than 2 years or... three. Is there any difference between her and my other kids no. I will say the antibodies did help when we all got H1N1 and she didn't catch it because she had my antibodies. But having been through the ringer with allergies and different formulas and then breastfeeding and figuring out allergies as well. There's no perfect way ever. Every single baby is completely different your next one could latch on the second it's born and hold on for a year. There's no way to predict at all and that's exactly what Colleen is seeing right in front of her eyes two babies born the same time been through the same things eating the same food completely different needs. Someone pointed out that we should consider this for adults too perhaps we should stop just saying "you should" all together. The only thing that I stand firm is a mom with young babies they need you you can't spoil them they have no idea how to manipulate they can't even manipulate their hand into their mouth yet and they can only see a few inches. And this isn't specifically to you at all just my rule has a mom that's the only one I stand by is pick up your baby if they cry you're not spoiling them.
My two sisters and I were all formula fed babies and never had any issues, all grew to be perfectly healthy children. Somehow, someway, I was also given the impression that best-fed is breastfed. I remember judging my aunt as a teen for formula-feeding her kids and that's when my mom told me. Mom wasn't able to produce a sufficient milk supply to sustain us on breast milk and had no choice but to formula feed us. All her family shamed her for it through our infancy but she pushed through because she knew she was doing what she could with what she had and doing her absolute best. As you are!
Lots of my friends formula feed. I only ever had formula as a baby for medical reasons. Your family is so wrong for judging you! Your mental health is important too, if you are losing your mind from pumping it’s not worth it.
I love how much Flynn loves his siblings, but I especially love how much he loves himself! He’s one cool kiddo and he knows it! And he is sweet, kind, generous, loving, and confident ♥️
Has anyone ever mentioned how Flynn’s intro sounds like “I’m vlogging, I’m bowling, I’m the queen” lol it’s so adorable, yes Flynn you are a queen go get your bowl on 🎳☀️💛
Yeah, I know right? Except for the last part: actually Colleen had him say 'the queeen' instead of her own name because he couldn't say 'colleen' then. So cute!
Man you guys did amazing with flynn. His sweet little soul.your kids are being so kind and loving to others.they are what this world is gonna need.luv u guys
Seeing Flynn as a big brother makes me so excited to see my baby (who is almost 6) finally become a big sister in the next few weeks. She is so so so excited and has been watching TH-cam videos all about babies and how to take care of them, and she even "made a bed" out of a box and blankets that she thinks her baby brother can sleep in next to her "so mommy can sleep" I had to let her know that isn't a safe place for a baby to sleep... but I love how much she is getting into the baby prep, and seeing Flynn be the best big brother makes me even more excited!
Flynn gave me such cuteness overload that i started to cry hahah. He's really growing, I can't believe now fast it is. I can tell just from the way he speaks, a few months apart. his grammar and pronunciation are getting so good! the way you talk to him- actual sentences- really does well for him. so happy to see that! ♥ he clearly loves his baby siblings and it's amazing to see.
flynn is the best big brother, as soon as those kiddos were home he had the brother instinct, you are such an amazing mother and take as much time as you need, no matter how much I love your vlogs, family is more important, and self care. love you heaps
I love that you talked about how different each baby is and no one thing works for every baby. Anytime anyone ever asked me,"how do you get your baby to do this or that?" I would ALWAYS start by saying..."just because this or that worked for me and my baby doesn't mean it will work for you and yours" I really like how honest and genuine your videos are.
Tortilla talk question: is this newborn stage easier than Flynn's because you are further along in your postnatal recovery? Basically is it easier because you are not in pain?
This is true. I have 3 kids, they were all so different when they were babies. No need to shame Moms because we are all learning our own babies likes/dislikes. You're doing great Colleen 💗

That’s hilarious!
I think that was me too, haha. My mom said I was a very easy baby and slept a lot xD.
I second her input. It made feeding less painful for me. That’s the reason the lactation consultant had me try it.

hope she sees this!
Yes!! Hope she sees this
I don't know if Colleen will ever see this, but I just wanted to thank you. I am a teenager with anxiety and your vlogs have been so comforting over the past years. You are a great part of my daily routine and I feel better after I watch your videos. Thank you!
I second that !!!
I agree 1000%!
Ya me two it’s nice to know that I’m not alone ❤️
Flynn really doesn't know how much he makes me smile everyday! He's such an awesome brother, Maisie and Wes are really cute next to him (not that they aren't adorable in general)! Thanks so much Flynn, I needed this today.
It’s amazing how loved all the kids are loved. It’s a testament to how committed you are…. It’s amazing how Flynn is w his brother and sister too.
There’s never a version of Colleen that I don’t love, she’s so sweet and such a good person
Can we keep appreciating Flynn’s cute voice singing the intro and greeting us every day?🥺😊
I love how Flynn calls maisy cutie bug at 3:35 🥺 he’s the cutest big brother
Flynn holding Wes just made ne tear up, Colleen went through so much and she now has her amazing, beautiful family full of sweet, kind, caring and loving babies ❤ It just makes me so happy to be able to see this
flynn saying “ where is the other cutie bug” and saying their names was soooo cute 💗
I can't wait for the babies to start laughing, Flynn is going to love it when they laugh at him!!!
It is amazing how sweet Flynn is with the babies. So special. Its in his genes. You & Eric are the kindest people, so he comes by it naturally.
Tortilla talk question: does flynn take more of his personality from you or Eric? And who do you think the twins will act like? ❤
“Where’s the other cutie bug?” Oh my gosh Flynn your killing me with your cuteness and love
My heart 😭 Flynn is just the sweetest and most gentle brother.
Flynn deserves everything best in his life! He is such a pure soul, I can't handle it 🥺
Watching you talk in circles about nothing IS the content I come here for Colleen. You're doing amazing!
i just about cried when Flynn asked “wheres the other cutiebug” 😭 colleen youre killin the whole parent thing!! such smart beautiful babiesss
And yes I see the irony of saying we should not say you should LOL
My two sisters and I were all formula fed babies and never had any issues, all grew to be perfectly healthy children. Somehow, someway, I was also given the impression that best-fed is breastfed. I remember judging my aunt as a teen for formula-feeding her kids and that's when my mom told me. Mom wasn't able to produce a sufficient milk supply to sustain us on breast milk and had no choice but to formula feed us. All her family shamed her for it through our infancy but she pushed through because she knew she was doing what she could with what she had and doing her absolute best. As you are!
You are a great mom!
Flynn has always been so good at sharing... I always knew he'd be the perfect older brother 💛
So cute!
I absolutely love how relatable Colleen is like she is like the girl next door love it
I love how listening to Colleen is like video calling your best friend and you both are doing your own thing yet together
I’m in literal tears watching Flynn with the twins and when he calls Maisey cutie bug!🥺
The way Flynn called Maisey “cutie bug” 💙🥰🥺
Flynn is just the sweetest! I hope his little caring heart goes with him throughout his whole life!
flynn is the best big brother, as soon as those kiddos were home he had the brother instinct, you are such an amazing mother and take as much time as you need, no matter how much I love your vlogs, family is more important, and self care. love you heaps
I love that you talked about how different each baby is and no one thing works for every baby.
Anytime anyone ever asked me,"how do you get your baby to do this or that?"
I would ALWAYS start by saying..."just because this or that worked for me and my baby doesn't mean it will work for you and yours"
I really like how honest and genuine your videos are.
i’m so happy that the babies are happy and healthy! your an amazing mother colleen!!❤️
Omg Flynn holding Wesley I started bawling. Such a special precious moment ♥️
Colleen, I am 70 and a grandma! You are a great mom. Stay strong. You are so blessed with all 3 of your adorable littles!
Flynn is always just so happy and adorable. It's so cute how he interacts with Maisy and Wesley.
Flynn is an absolute angel🥺❤️
Tortilla talk question: is this newborn stage easier than Flynn's because you are further along in your postnatal recovery? Basically is it easier because you are not in pain?
i thought she was still in pain from her c-section
Omg Flynn is such a sweet and precious big brother 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is true. I have 3 kids, they were all so different when they were babies. No need to shame Moms because we are all learning our own babies likes/dislikes. You're doing great Colleen 💗
