@Jules Elyse They aren't scared. They are pissed. They just don't like sitting still and having a person fumble with their head for so long. The kids are annoyed that's all they are.
@@PichDextro Every child is different. Some kids may just be straight up pissed at the hairdresser, and others may be scared. Some kids might just not want a person around their head for 30 minutes.

Camryn Oh yea, that’s true. But typically he would be able to produce tears, but you never know. But the point that he stops fussing when the stimulus leaves gives more insight to how he’s feeling.
Some kids cant produce tears until 12 months
It’s very normal for a baby to cry while getting a haircut that’s why they have so many cool distractions at salons for kids!

I've worked with children for 10 years, along with having a son, and let me just say.... you are doing a wonderful job. I understand your hesitations with posting certain things. You're son is funny, has his own personality, hes happy, healthy and has a big family who loves him. You are doing a wonderful job. ❤
All four of my kids FREAKED OUT at their first haircuts. My youngest cried every time until he was 10 and to this day, haircuts are still drama with him.

I think a lot of babies have that reaction but those videos don’t usually end up on the internet, which makes it even more important for you to show this video. Babies cry at lots of things, everything is new and that can be scary sometimes, I know if I heard a loud buzzing in my ear and then some gigantic lady was coming at me with scissors I’d cry... id cry alot

Same exact experience with my son during his first hair cut. Started off great, then the mean loud clippers came out and it went downhill from there. haha. He is 14 now and is just now able to stand the clippers. After that first cut, I always asked for scissors only, no clippers. Flynn is the cutest little boy! You are so blessed! I miss my sweet boy being that age - enjoy every minute of the journey.

The stylist couldn’t even pick up the scissors! I ended up just doing it myself 😂 I posted a video about it on my channel!

Pick a stylist you like and take them to the same person everytime. I’m a stylist and it makes a big difference

Legit happens all the time! 9 out of 10 kids that sit in my chair freak out. It’s completely normal! It’s a mix of a stranger in their face and weird sounds super close to them. You guys did great!
All babies cry during their first haircut. Both of mine did. And we did the same thing! Tried distraction and lap and the whole thing! You’re such a wonderful mom. He’s a happy little boy.
